Romans, Chapter 2.3: The daily sanctification of believers through the Holy Spirit (6:1 - 8:39)

The first two paragraphs of the Body section oppose each other in their themes. This study will concentrate on the first paragraph.

Comments: This entire chapter is all about how the Holy Spirit can give daily victory over sin to every born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
In the first paragraph of the Body section, Paul explained the relationship of the believer in Christ to the Law of Moses using the illustration of divorce and remarriage under the Law of Moses.
Unique “Do you not know, brethren (for I speak to them that know the Law), that the Law rules over a man as long as he lives?
Complement “For the woman which has a husband is bound by the Law to her husband as long as he lives; but if the husband is dead, she is released from the Law of her husband.
Complement “So then, while her husband is living, if she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband is dead, she is free from that Law, so that she is not an adulteress, although she is married to another man.”
If the husband of a woman dies, then the woman is free to marry another man; but if her husband is still living, then she is an adulteress. This text is not a detailed treatment of marriage and divorce, but it is meant as a proof text for what Paul wanted to teach about the Law of Moses and the believer, so we will not spend any more time on this subject, so that we don’t get too far from the intent of this study. Let’s move on.
Opposite “Therefore, my brethren, you also were made dead to the Law by the crucified body of Christ, that you should be married to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit to God: for when we were in the flesh, the motions leading to sins, which were by the Law, worked in our body parts to bring forth fruit unto death.

I want every follower of the Seventh Day Adventist and World-wide Church of God cults to read these words very carefully (Free-will Baptists are preaching the same false message as well): Opposite__“But now, WE HAVE BEEN DELIVERED FROM THE LAW, THAT BEING DEAD IN WHICH WE WERE HELD, THAT WE SHOULD SERVE IN NEWNESS OF SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE OLDNESS OF THE LETTER.”
The Law of Moses is DEAD for the born again believer in Jesus Christ! Amen and hallelujah!
If the Law of Moses is DEAD to me, because of the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the cross (and it is), then I should not be observing the Sabbath day [Saturday], nor refraining from eating any meat that I want (including pork). More on that later.
All born again believers in Jesus (the Bride of Christ) are married to Him, so we are dead to the Law of Moses
Ephesians 5:22-27: “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord: for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Assembly; and he is the Savior of the Body. Therefore as the Assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Assembly, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, that he might present it to himself a glorious Assembly, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
Romans 7:4: “Therefore, my brethren, you also were made dead to the Law by the crucified body of Christ, that you should be married to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit to God.”
Collectively, as born again believers in Jesus Christ, we (assuming that you have been born again in truth) are all married to Jesus Christ as his Bride! Amen.
And, because we have been divorced from the Law of Moses, we have no need for the Sabbath day, laws about food, animal sacrifices, the Levite priesthood, special holy days like Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, and everything else except for the moral laws (nine of the ten commandments).
Friends, this is very important! The Seventh Day Adventist sect and a number of other foolish cults such as the Worldwide Church of God are preaching that we must keep the Ten Commandments, worship on Saturday (the Sabbath), obey the food laws of Moses, and so on.

The Seventh Day Adventist sect has some true teachings, but many false ones. They continually preach about the supposed sin of worshiping on Sunday rather than Saturday, which is utterly ridiculous.
My former church used to have an evangelist come to preach every day of the week, or at least several days of the week, once or twice a year: Monday - Thursday or Friday! The church took Saturday off just to let the people rest for one day before having church again on Sunday. Most Baptist churches that I know have no problems with hosting an evangelist or Bible teacher for several days of meetings during almost any day of the week.
In fact, the early church in Jerusalem met DAILY for worship and Bible teaching. Obviously, it was not a sin for them to worship on another day than the Sabbath! Therefore, it is certainly not a sin for us either.
Acts 2:46-47: “And continuing daily with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart: praising God, and having favor with all the people; and each day the Lord added to the Assembly the ones being saved.”
The day that we worship doesn’t really matter! Of course, we should worship on Sunday as a minimum, because it is in the Bible.
The Apostles and the members of the first church (or Assembly) met together on the Day of Pentecost (Sunday), which is the day after the Sabbath (Saturday).
Acts 2:1-2: “And when the day of Pentecost [Sunday] had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly a sound came from Heaven like a rushing mighty wind; and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.”
Leviticus 23:15-16: “And you shall count to you from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be complete. Even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days, and you shall offer a new meal offering to Jehovah.”
Now if you listen to the Seventh Day Adventists and other similar cults, I guess the Apostles must have sinned against God when they met on Sunday! Lol; no, not really. Of course they did not sin against God by meeting on Sunday!
What about the Laws against eating pork or other kinds of food that was forbidden by Moses?
1 Timothy 4:1-6: “Now the Holy Spirit speaks clearly, that in the Latter Times some shall depart from the Faith (giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron): forbidding Pastors to marry; and commanding to abstain from meat, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by them which believe and know the truth: FOR EVERY CREATURE OF GOD IS GOOD; AND NOTHING TO BE REFUSED (IF IT IS RECEIVED WITH THANKSGIVING), BECAUSE IT IS SANCTIFIED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER. If you put the brethren in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, unto which you have attained.”
“E-V-E-R-Y” means ALL creatures, without exception!
Personally, I would never eat certain kinds of meat, such as dogs or cats, because I love them and would never want to harm either one of them for any reason. Most birds also, I would probably never eat unless I was extremely hungry and in need; but I love chicken and turkey. Some other game birds are good eating as well.
Also, pork was unclean under the Law of Moses, but under the New Covenant, I am dead to the Law, so give me some of that bacon! Lol. I love anything pork; it’s all good if we cook it properly and receive it with thanksgiving; amen.
I believe that God gave us certain animals and birds for our main sources of food such as chickens, cattle, sheep, and so on. Other sources of meat such as deer are fine; they are in abundance and need to be harvested to keep their numbers in control. Bear or moose might be okay, but their numbers are much fewer, so IMO we should leave them alone if possible. We should be good stewards of our wildlife. This is my opinion.
The point is that the New Covenant faith in Jesus Christ does not restrict what kind of food we can eat. Don’t listen to those preaching obedience to the Law of Moses! They are preaching a false gospel that was repudiated by the Apostles in the Book of Acts:
Acts 15:22-29: “Then it pleased the Apostles and elders, with the whole Assembly, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren. And they wrote a letter by them after this manner: “The Apostles and elders and brethren sends greeting to the brethren that are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia. Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain who went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised, and keep the Law’ (to whom we gave no such command): it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men that have hazarded their lives for the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we have sent Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth: for it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: to abstain from food offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if you keep yourselves, you shall do well. Farewell.”
Those who preach keeping the Law of Moses are preaching a different “gospel” than the Apostles; and Paul said that they should be damned in Hell forever
Galatians 1:6-9: “I marvel that you so quickly removed yourselves from him that called you in the grace of Christ into a different gospel; which is a false gospel; but there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the true Gospel of Christ. But though we, or even an angel from Heaven, preach any gospel to you different from what we have already preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so now I say again, if any man preaches any gospel to you different from what you have already received from us, let him be accursed.”
“Accursed” means “Anathema”, which means to be damned in Hell forever. The Seventh Day Adventists and Worldwide Church of God (and similar sects) are preaching damnable heresies, according to the Word of God!
Galatians 2:21: “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by observing the Law, then Christ died for nothing.”
If we could be saved by doing good works (observing the Law), then why did Christ come to Earth to die on a cross for our sins? According to the law-keepers, we don’t need Jesus to save us, which is false! Yes, they will say you must believe in Jesus Christ; however, they also say that you have to keep the Law to remain saved; or you could lose your salvation! That is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Galatians 3:10-12: “For as many as are of the works of the Law are under the curse: for it is written, “Cursed is everyone that does not continue in all things which are written in the Book of the Law to do them.” But that no man is justified by the Law in the sight of God, it is evident: for it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” And the Law is not of faith; but “The man that does them shall live in them.”
Romans 10:1-4: “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel, is that they might be saved: for I bear them witness that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge: for they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God: for Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for righteousness to every one that believes in him.”
The Law of Moses can only condemn us! It cannot justify us before God.
How this relates to the entire chapter
In the next paragraph, Paul detailed his own experiences of trying to be victorious over temptation and sin. Before Paul was saved, he was a strict Hebrew of the Hebrews, an observer of the Law of Moses to the “t”; and he learned by hard experience that trying to serve God through obedience to the Law of Moses was absolutely futile!
Paul was taught by the Lord Jesus in Person (Galatians 1:11-12) that the purpose of the Law was never to justify anyone, but was instead designed to magnify the awareness of sin in the conscience of sinners. This is the ONLY purpose of the Law of Moses!
Galatians 3:24: “Therefore the Law was our tutor to point us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith in him.”
For if a sinner doesn’t know that he is a sinner, why would he feel the need for forgiveness? If there was no Law (think “Ten Commandments”) that told sinners that they had sinned against God, then they would never seek Him and his forgiveness through the Finished Work of Christ on the cross.
Therefore, when a Christian attempts to use the Law of Moses as a substitute for looking to Jesus Christ for power to live victoriously over sin, they are misusing the Law! It was never intended to be a source of righteousness; it has only one purpose: to condemn us as sinners!
Romans 3:19-20: “And we know that whatsoever things the Law says, it says to them who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be shut, and all the world may become guilty before God; therefore, by the works of the Law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight: for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.”
Conclusion
Born again believers in Jesus Christ! Do not look to the Ten Commandments or any other part of the Law of Moses to be right with God! Focus your mind and your soul on the Living Christ, and claim the forgiveness of Jesus and his power to live a holy life through the Finished Work of Christ on the cross! Because if you love Jehovah your God with all of your mind, your soul, and your heart, and you love your neighbor as yourself, then YOU HAVE FULFILLED THE LAW!
Matthew 22:37-40: “Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love [Jehovah] your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind’: this is the first and great Commandment. And the second is similar: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two Commandments.”
Romans 13:8-10: “Do not owe anything to anyone, but to love one another: for he that selflessly loves another has fulfilled the Law: for it is written: “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not murder; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; you shall not covet”; and if there is any other Commandment, it is summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no evil to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.”
This is the Bible Way! Amen.
Galatians 6:14-16: “But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy; and upon the Israel of God.”
So, the next time someone from the Seventh Day Adventists or the Worldwide Church of God cult (and others like them) tries to make you feel guilty about worshiping on Sunday, not keeping the Sabbath Day, or not observing the Law of Moses, just tell them, “Sorry, but I’m dead to the Law of Moses, because I’m married to Jesus Christ now! Goodbye.” Amen.
How to be saved!
Are you truly born again? Make sure that you are, right now!
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to atone for your sins? And that He was buried, and that Jesus rose up from the dead on the third day?
The Bible says that if we believe these things, we can be saved, if we repent of our sins and receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior:
Romans 10:8-13: “But what does it say? “The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart”; that is to say, the Word of faith (which we preach), that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart, man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made into salvation: for the Scripture says, “Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him: for it is written, “whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” (KSB)
If you are ready to be saved, then you can use the following prayer to repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

Comentarios: Todo este capítulo trata sobre cómo el Espíritu Santo puede dar victoria diaria sobre el pecado a cada creyente nacido de nuevo en Jesucristo.
En el primer párrafo de la sección Cuerpo, Pablo explicó la relación del creyente en Cristo con la Ley de Moisés usando la ilustración del divorcio y las segundas nupcias bajas la Ley de Moisés.
Único “¿No sabéis, hermanos (porque hablo con los que conocen la Ley), que la Ley gobierna sobre un hombre todo el tiempo que él vive?
El complemento “Porque la mujer que tiene marido está ligada por la Ley a su marido todo el tiempo que él vive; pero si el marido muere, ella es liberada de la Ley de su esposo.
El complemento “Por lo que entonces, mientras su esposo viviendo, si ella está casada con otro hombre, ella será llamada adúltera; pero si su marido muere, ella está libre de esa Ley, de modo que ella no sea una adúltera, aunque ella está casada con otro hombre”.
Si el marido de una mujer muere, entonces la mujer es libre de casarse con otro hombre; pero si su marido aún vive, entonces ella es adúltera. Este texto no es un tratamiento detallado del matrimonio y el divorcio, pero está pensado como un texto de prueba de lo que Pablo quería enseñar acerca de la Ley de Moisés y el creyente, por lo que no dedicaremos más tiempo a este tema, para no alejarnos demasiado del propósito de este estudio. Sigamos adelante.
Lo opuesto “Por tanto, mis hermanos, ustedes también habéis sido hechos muertos a la Ley por el cuerpo crucificado de Cristo; que deberíais estar casado con otro, incluso al quien fue resucitado de entre los muertos, que deberíamos dar fruto a Dios: porque cuando estábamos en la carne, las mociones que conducen a los pecados, que eran por la Ley, trabajaron en las partes de nuestro cuerpo para producir fruto para muerte.
Lo opuesto “Pero ahora, hemos sido liberados desde la Ley, ese siendo muerto en el que estábamos retenidos, que debemos servir en novedad de espíritu, y no en la antigüedad de la letra”.
Quiero que todo seguidor de las sectas Adventistas del Séptimo Día y de la Iglesia de Dios Mundial lea estas palabras con mucha atención (los bautistas de libre albedrío también están predicando el mismo mensaje falso): Lo opuesto__“HEMOS SIDO LIBRADOS DE LA LEY, QUE ESTANDO MUERTOS EN LA QUE ESTÁBAMOS RETENIDOS, PARA QUE DEBEMOS SERVIR EN LA NOVEDAD DE ESPÍRITU, Y NO EN LA VEJEZ DE LA LETRA”.
¡La Ley de Moisés está MUERTA para el creyente nacido de nuevo en Jesucristo! ¡Amén y aleluya!
Si la Ley de Moisés está MUERTA para mí, por causa de la Obra Concluida de Jesucristo en la cruz (y lo está), entonces no debo observar el día de reposo [sábado], ni abstenerme de comer cualquier carne que quiera (incluido el cerdo). Más sobre eso más adelante.
Todos los creyentes nacidos de nuevo en Jesús (la Novia de Cristo) están casados con Él, por lo que estamos muertos a la Ley de Moisés
Efesios 5:22-27: “Maridos, amad a vuestras esposas, incluso como Cristo amó a la Asamblea, y se entregó a sí mismo por ella; que él podría santificarlo y limpiarlo con el lavamiento del agua por la Palabra, que él podría presentárselo a sí mismo una Asamblea gloriosa, no teniendo mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; pero que debe ser santo y sin defecto”.
Romanos 7:4: “Por tanto, mis hermanos, ustedes también habéis sido hechos muertos a la Ley por el cuerpo crucificado de Cristo; que deberíais estar casado con otro, incluso al quien fue resucitado de entre los muertos, que deberíamos dar fruto a Dios”.
Colectivamente, como creyentes nacidos de nuevo en Jesucristo (asumiendo que hayas nacido de nuevo en verdad), ¡todos estamos casados con Jesucristo como su Novia! Amén.
Y, por cuanto hemos estado divorciados desde la Ley de Moisés, no necesitamos el día de reposo, las leyes sobre la comida, los sacrificios de animales, el sacerdocio levito, los días santos especiales como la Pascua, los panes sin levadura, Pentecostés y todo lo demás excepto las leyes morales (nueve de los diez mandamientos).
Amigos, esto es muy importante! La secta Adventista del Séptimo Día y una serie de otras sectas tontas como la Iglesia de Dios Mundial están predicando que debemos guardar los Diez Mandamientos, adorar en el sábado, obedecer las leyes alimentarias de Moisés, etc.

La secta Adventista del Séptimo Día tiene algunas enseñanzas verdaderas, pero muchas falsas. Predican continuamente sobre el supuesto pecado de adorar en domingo en lugar de sábado, lo cual es completamente ridículo.
Mi antigua iglesia solía tener un evangelista que venía a predicar todos los días de la semana, o al menos varios días de la semana: una o dos veces al año: Lunes - Jueves o Viernes! La iglesia se tomó libre el sábado sólo para que la gente descansara un día antes de volver a ir a la iglesia el domingo. La mayoría de las iglesias bautistas que conozco no tienen problemas para recibir a un evangelista o maestro bíblico durante varios días de reuniones durante casi cualquier día de la semana.
De hecho, la iglesia primitiva en Jerusalén se reunía DIARIAMENTE para adorar y enseñar la Biblia. ¡Obviamente, no era pecado para ellos para adorar en otro día que no fuera el sábado! Por lo tanto, ciertamente tampoco es pecado para nosotros.
Hechos 2:46-47: “Y continuando cada día de común acuerdo en el Templo, y partiendo el pan en las casas, comieron su comida con alegría y unidad de corazón: alabando a Dios y teniendo favor con todo el pueblo. Y el Señor añadía cada día a la Asamblea los que estaban siendo salvados”.
¡El día que adoramos realmente no importa! Por supuesto, debemos adorar el domingo como mínimo, porque así está en la Biblia.
Los Apóstoles y los miembros de la primera iglesia (o Asamblea) se reunieron el día de Pentecostés (domingo), que es el día después del sábado (sábado).
Hechos 2:1-2: “Y cuando llegó el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes en un mismo lugar. Y de repente vino un estruendo del Cielo como de un viento recio que corría, el cual llenó toda la casa donde estaban sentados”.
Levíticio 23:15-16: “Y contaréis desde el día siguiente al sábado, desde el día que trajisteis la gavilla de la ofrenda mecida; siete sábados serán completos. Hasta el día siguiente al séptimo sábado contaréis cincuenta días y ofreceréis una ofrenda nueva a Jehová”.
Ahora bien, si escuchas a los Adventistas del Séptimo Día y otras sectas similares, ¡supongo que los Apóstoles debieron haber pecado contra Dios cuando se reunieron el domingo! Jajaja; no en realidad no. ¡Por supuesto que no pecaron contra Dios al reunirse el domingo!
¿Qué pasa con las leyes contra el consumo de carne de cerdo u otros tipos de alimentos que Moisés prohibió?
1 Timoteo 4:1-6: “Pero el Espíritu dice expresamente que en los postreros tiempos algunos apostatarán de la fe, escuchando a espíritus engañadores y a doctrinas de demonios; que con hipocresía hablarán mentiras; teniendo cauterizada su conciencia; prohibirán casarse, y mandarán abstenerse de alimentos que Dios creó para que con acción de gracias participasen de ellos los creyentes que han conocido la verdad: porque todo lo que Dios creó es bueno, y nada es de desecharse, si se toma con acción de gracias: porque por la Palabra de Dios y por la oración es santificado. Si haces recordar estas cosas a los hermanos, serás buen ministro de Jesús Cristo, nutrido en las palabras de la fe y de la buena doctrina, la cual has alcanzado.”
“T-O-D-A-S” significa TODAS las criaturas, ¡sin excepción!
Personalmente, nunca comería ciertos tipos de carne, como perros o gatos, porque los amo y nunca querría hacerles daño a ninguno de ellos por ningún motivo. Además, probablemente nunca comería la mayoría de las aves a menos que tuviera mucha hambre y necesidad; pero me encanta el pollo y el pavo. Algunas otras aves de caza también son buenas para comer.
Además, la carne de cerdo era inmunda bajo la Ley de Moisés, pero bajo el Nuevo Pacto, estoy muerto a la Ley, ¡así que dame un poco de ese tocino! Jajaja. Me encanta todo lo que sea carne de cerdo; todo está bien si lo cocinamos adecuadamente y lo recibimos con acción de gracias; amén.
Creo que Dios nos dio ciertos animales y aves para nuestras principales fuentes de alimento, como pollos, vacas, ovejas, etc. Otras fuentes de carne, como la de venado, están bien; abundan y es necesario cosecharlos para mantener su número bajo control. Los osos o los alces pueden estar bien, pero su número es mucho menor, por lo que, en mi opinión, deberíamos dejarlos en paz si es posible. Deberíamos ser buenos administradores de nuestra vida silvestre. Esta es mi opinión.
El punto es que la fe del Nuevo Pacto en Jesucristo no restringe qué tipo de alimentos podemos comer. ¡No escuches a quienes predican la obediencia a la Ley de Moisés! Están predicando un evangelio falso que fue repudiado por los Apóstoles en el Libro de los Hechos:
Hechos 15:22-29: “Entonces pareció bien a los Apóstoles y a los ancianos, con toda la Asamblea, elegir varones de ellos, y enviarlos a Antioquía con Pablo y Bernabé (es decir, Judas que tenía por sobrenombre Barsabás, y a Silas, varones principales entre los hermanos), y escribieron una carta por ellos de esta manera: “Los Apóstoles y los ancianos y los hermanos: a los hermanos que son de los Gentiles que están en Antioquía, y en Siria, y en Cilicia, saludos. Por cuanto hemos oído que algunos que salieron de nosotros os han turbado con palabras, trastornando vuestras almas, diciendo: “Debéis ser circuncidados y guardar la ley” (a quienes no le dimos tal mandamiento), nos ha parecido bien, reunidos unánimes, para enviarte hombres escogidos, con nuestros amados Bernabé y Pablo, hombres que han puesto en peligro sus vidas por el Nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Por tanto, hemos enviado a Judas y a Silas, quienes también os dirán las mismas cosas de boca. Porque parecía bueno al Espíritu Santo, y a nosotros, poner sobre os no mayor carga que estas cosas necesarias: que os abstengáis desde comida ofrecida a los ídolos, y desde sangre, y desde cosas estranguladas, y desde fornicación; desde lo cual, si os guardáis ustedes mismos, bien haréis. Despedida”.
Quienes predican guardar la Ley de Moisés están predicando un “evangelio” diferente al de los Apóstoles; y Pablo dijo que deberían ser condenados en el infierno para siempre
Gálatas 1:6-9: “Yo maravillo de que ustedes se quitaron tan rápidamente desde él quien os llamó a la gracia de Cristo hacia un evangelio diferente; cual es un falso evangelio; pero hay algunos que os molestan; y quieren pervertir el verdadero Evangelio de Cristo. Pero aunque nosotros, o incluso un ángel del Cielo, os predicamos un evangelio diferente desde lo que ya os hemos predicado, déjale ser anatema. Como dijimos antes, así ahora vuelvo a decir: si algún hombre os predica un evangelio diferente desde lo que ya habéis recibido de nosotros, déjale ser anatema”.
“Anatema” significa ser condenado en el infierno para siempre. ¡Los Adventistas del Séptimo Día y la Iglesia de Dios Mundial (y sectas similares) están predicando herejías condenables, según la Palabra de Dios!
Gálatas 2:21: “No frustro la gracia de Dios: porque si la justicia viene por la observancia de la ley, entonces Cristo murió por nada”.
Si pudiéramos ser salvados haciendo buenas obras (observando la Ley), entonces ¿por qué vino Cristo a la Tierra para morir en una cruz por nuestros pecados? Según los observadores de la ley, no necesitamos que Jesús nos salve, ¡lo cual es falso! Sí, dirán que debes creer en Jesucristo; sin embargo, también dicen que hay que guardar la Ley para permanecer salvo; ¡o podrías perder tu salvación! ¡Ese no es el Evangelio de Jesucristo!
Gálatas 3:10-12: “Porque todos los que son de las obras de la Ley están bajo maldición: porque escrito está, “Maldito todo aquel que no permaneciere en todas las cosas que están escritas en el Libro de la Ley, para hacerlas”. Y que por la Ley ninguno se justifica para con Dios, es evidente: porque, “El justo por la fe vivirá”. Y la Ley no es de fe, sino que dice, “El hombre que las hiciere, vivirá en ellas”.
Romanos 10:1-4: “Hermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios por Israel, es que ellos puedan ser salvados: porque yo les doy testimonio de que tienen celo de Dios, pero no conforme al conocimiento: porque ellos, siendo ignorando de la justicia de Dios, y procurando establecer su propia justicia, no se han sometido mismos a la justicia de Dios: porque Cristo es el cumplimiento de la Ley para justicia para todo aquel que en él cree”.
¡La Ley de Moisés sólo puede condenarnos! No puede justificarnos ante Dios.
Cómo se relaciona esto con todo el capítulo
En el siguiente párrafo, Pablo detalló sus propias experiencias al tratar de ser victorioso sobre la tentación y el pecado. Antes de ser salvado, Pablo era un hebreo estricto de hebreos, un observador de la Ley de Moisés hasta la “t”; ¡Y aprendió por experiencia dura que tratar de servir a Dios a través de la obediencia a la Ley de Moisés era absolutamente inútil!
El Señor Jesús en Persona le enseñó a Pablo (Gálatas 1:11-12) que el propósito de la Ley nunca fue justificar a nadie, sino que fue diseñado para magnificar la conciencia del pecado dentro la conciencia de los pecadores. ¡Éste es el ÚNICO propósito de la Ley de Moisés!
Gálatas 3:24: “Por lo tanto, la Ley fue nuestro tutor para señalarnos a Cristo, para que pudiéramos ser justificados por la fe en él”.
Porque si un pecador no sabe que es pecador, ¿por qué sentiría la necesidad de perdón? Si no hubiera una Ley (piense en los “Diez Mandamientos”) que dijera a los pecadores que habían pecado contra Dios, entonces nunca lo buscarían a Él ni a Su perdón a través de la Obra Concluida de Cristo en la cruz.
Por lo tanto, cuando un cristiano intenta usar la Ley de Moisés como sustituto de buscar en Jesucristo el poder para vivir victoriosamente sobre el pecado, ¡está usando mal la Ley! Nunca tuvo la intención de ser una fuente de justicia; tiene un solo propósito: ¡condenarnos como pecadores!
Romanos 3:19-20: “Y sabemos que cualquier cosa que dice la Ley, ello les dice a los que son bajos la Ley, para que cada boca puede estar cerrada, y todo el mundo puede llegar a ser culpable ante Dios; por tanto, por las obras de la Ley ninguna carne será justificada en su vista: porque por la Ley es el conocimiento del pecado”.
Conclusión
¡Nacidos de nuevo creyentes en Jesucristo! ¡No recurras a los Diez Mandamientos ni a ninguna otra parte de la Ley de Moisés para estar bien con Dios! ¡Enfoca tu mente y tu alma en el Cristo Viviente y reclama el perdón de Jesús y su poder para vivir una vida santa a través de la Obra Terminada de Cristo en la cruz! Porque si amas a Jehová tu Dios con toda tu mente, tu alma y tu corazón, y amas a tu prójimo como a ti mismo, entonces ¡HAS CUMPLIDO LA LEY!
Mateo 22:37-40: “Jesús le dijo, “‘Amarás a [Jehová] tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente’; éste es el primero y grande Mandamiento. Y el segundo es similar, ‘Amarás a tu prójimo como ti mismo’. Toda la Ley y los Profetas dependen en estos dos Mandamientos”.
Romanos 13:8-10: “No debáis a nadie nada, sino amaos unos a otros: porque él que ama desinteresadamente a otro ha cumplido la Ley: porque está escrito: “No cometerás adulterio”, “No matarás”, “No hurtarás”, “No dirás falso testimonio”, “No codiciarás”; y si hay algún otro Mandamiento, se resume en este dicho, es decir, “Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo”. El amor no hace mal a su vecino; por lo tanto, el amor es el cumplimiento de la ley”.
¡Este es el camino bíblico! Amén.
Gálatas 6:14-16: “Pero Dios no me permita gloriarme, excepto en la cruz de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, por el cual el mundo me ha sido crucificado, y yo he sido crucificado para el mundo. Porque en Cristo Jesús ni la circuncisión sirve de nada, ni la incircuncisión; sino una nueva creación. Y tantos como caminan según esta regla, paz sea sobre ellos y misericordia, y sobre el Israel de Dios”.
Entonces, la próxima vez que alguien de la secta Adventista del Séptimo Día o de la Iglesia de Dios Mundial (y otros como ellos) que alguien intenta hacerte sentir culpable por adorar en domingo, por ni guardar el día de reposo o por no observar la Ley de Moisés, sólo díselo, “Lo siento, pero estoy muerto a la Ley de Moisés, ¡porque ahora estoy casado con Jesucristo! Adiós.” Amén.
¡Cómo ser salvado!
¿Realmente has nacido de nuevo? ¡Asegúrate de estarlo ahora mismo!
¿Crees que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios que nació de una virgen, vivió una vida sin pecado y murió en la cruz para expiar tus pecados? ¿Y que fue sepultado y que Jesús resucitó de entre los muertos al tercer día?
La Biblia dice que si creemos estas cosas, podemos ser salvados, si nos arrepentimos de nuestros pecados y recibimos a Jesucristo como nuestro Salvador personal:
Romanos 10:8-13: “Pero ¿qué dice? “La Palabra está cerca de ti, incluso en tu boca y en tu corazón”, es decir, la Palabra de fe (que predicamos), que si confesarás con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creerás en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, tú serás salvado: porque con el corazón, el hombre cree para justicia, y con la boca, la confesión se hace para la salvación: porque la Escritura dice, “cualquiera que en él creyere, no será avergonzado”. Porque no hay diferencia entre el judio y el gentil: porque el mismo Señor sobre todo es rico a todos los que le invocan: porque [está escrito], “Cualquiera que llamará sobre el Nombre del Señor será salvado”.
Si estás listo para ser salvado, entonces puedes usar la siguiente oración para arrepentirte y recibir al Señor Jesucristo como tu Salvador personal:
“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra USTED. ¡No soy bueno y usted eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”
