Romans, Chapter 2.5: The sanctification of believers through the Assembly of Jesus Christ (12:1 - 16:27)

Introduction
I hope that you were able to read through every study in this series on the Book pair of Hebrews & Romans in the Golden Ratio design of the Bible. If not, you can use this link to see all of them in the Table of Contents and read them from there. I believe that you will find them extremely helpful in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because this is the final chapter of Romans in the Golden Ratio design, I want to stop for a moment and review where we have been, so that we can understand where we are going in these studies.
Volume 5: The Doctrines of the New Covenant
Unique Book 5.1 (Hebrews & Romans): The Way into a New Covenant Relationship with Jehovah God
Complement Book 5.2 (Job & Proverbs): Discipline and Wisdom in the Kingdom of God
Complement Book 5.3 (Ecclesiastes -> 1 John): Fellowship and Works in the Kingdom of God

Opposite Book 5.5 (1 Thessalonians -> Ephesians): The Way of Outward Spiritual Warfare
In this outline of Volume 5 in the Golden Ratio design of the Bible, you can see that the Book pair of Hebrews and Romans is the first of five logical “Books” in Volume 5 of the Golden Ratio design of the Bible.
This makes sense, because Hebrews and Romans contain the core theological doctrines for the Christian Faith, which are (this is not necessarily a complete list):
1) Theology (the study of God)
Obviously, there are additional texts in the Bible that can be cited for some of these doctrines; the point here is to illustrate a small part of what these two letters contain. I could have included many more texts, but chose not to, because I need to keep this study brief.
a) The Person and Work of God the Father:
Hebrews 1:1-2: “God, who (at various times and in diverse manners) spoke in time past to the fathers by the Prophets, has in these Last Days spoken to us by his Son; whom he has appointed Heir of all things, by whom also he made the Ages.”
b) The Person of Jesus Christ:
Jesus is the Son of God and is not an angel or created being:
Hebrews 1:5-6: “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, ‘You are my Son; this day have I begotten you’? And again, ‘I will be a Father to him; and he shall be a Son to me.’ And again, when he brings the First Begotten into the world, he says, ‘And let all the angels of God worship him.’”
Jesus is God Almighty:
Hebrews 1:8: “But to the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, endures into the Ages of the Ages; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your Kingdom.’”
Jesus is the Eternal Creator of the Universe and all that is in it:
Hebrews 1:10-12: “And, ‘You, Lord, in the beginning have laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of your hands. They shall perish, but you remain; and they shall all grow old like a garment. And as a cloak you shall fold them up, and they shall be transformed; but you are the same, and your years shall not fail.’”
c) The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit:
God the Holy Spirit is the Giver of all signs, wonders, miracles, and spiritual gifts:
Hebrews 2:4: “God also bearing them witness: both with signs and wonders, and with various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his will.”
The Holy Spirit is not a force, but a Person of the Godhead who speaks as Jehovah God, because He is Jehovah God!
Hebrews 3:7-11: “Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you will hear his voice: harden not your hearts, as in the rebellion, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: when your fathers tested me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Therefore, I was grieved with that generation; and I said, ‘They always go astray in their heart; and they have not known my ways.’ So I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter into my rest.’”
Jesus offered Himself to God through the Holy Spirit, which is Eternal:
Hebrews 9:14: “how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the Eternal Spirit offered himself without spot unto God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
2) The Doctrines of Jesus Christ (Christology)
a) The High priesthood of Jesus Christ according to Melchizedek
Hebrews 4:14-16: “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest that has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our infirmities; but he was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy; and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 7:21b: “But this Jesus was made High Priest with an oath by him that said to him, “[Jehovah] swore and will not repent, ‘You are a Priest into the Ages according to the order of Melchizedek’”
b) The Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the cross that atoned for all of our sins
Hebrews 1:3b: “through himself having made a cleansing of our sins”
Hebrews 2:9: “But we see Jesus, who for a short time was made lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for every man.”
Romans 3:21-24: “But now, the righteousness of God apart from the Law is revealed (being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets): even the righteousness of God which is through faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference, because all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus”
c) The Intercessory Work of Jesus Christ for all believers
Romans 8:34: “Who is he that condemns? It is Christ who died for our sins; but more than that, was raised again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”
3) Soteriology
a) Jews who were saved under the Old Covenant needed to transition to the Finished Work of Christ on the cross from animal sacrifices in the Temple in Jerusalem to become completed in their faith in Jehovah God:
Hebrews 6:1-3: “Therefore, leaving the basics of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to completeness [in the New Covenant]: not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward [Jehovah] God; of the doctrine of washings, and of laying of hands on [the animal sacrifice], and of resurrection of the dead, and of Eternal Judgment. And we will do this, if God permits.”
Hebrews 10:19-22: “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us through the veil (that is to say, his flesh); and having a permanent High Priest over the House of God, let us draw near to God with a true heart, in full assurance of faith: having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
b) The study of salvation for sinners (Jews or Gentiles), or how to have a New Covenant relationship with Jehovah God (Romans)
Romans 1:18: “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness”
Romans 3:23: “because all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God”
Romans 4:1-3: “What shall we say then that Abraham our father (according to the flesh) has found? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to glory in. But not before God: for what does the Scripture say? Abraham “believed in [Jehovah]; and his faith was credited to him for righteousness.”
Romans 4:16: “Therefore, [justification] is by faith, that it might be by grace, to the end that the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the Law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham.”
Romans 10:8-13: But what does it say? “The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart”; that is to say, the Word of faith (which we preach), that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart, man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made into salvation: for the Scripture says, “Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him: for [it is written], “whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”
4) Sanctification
a) How a born again believer in Jesus Christ should begin his walk with Christ: Baptism of believers in deep water.
Romans 6:1-5: “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, so that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer in it? Do you not know, that as many of us as were baptized with reference to Jesus Christ were baptized as a sign of his death? Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism with reference to death, so that, in the same manner as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father: even so, we also should walk in newness of Life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall also walk in the likeness of his resurrection.”
b) How a born again believer in Jesus Christ can have daily victory over sin (Yield his body and soul to the Holy Spirit daily - Romans 7:1-8:27)
Romans 8:1-4: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit: for the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of sin and death: for what the Law of Moses could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh: God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
5) Election
In order to see the full picture of election, it is necessary to include texts from the Gospels as well as other Books of the Bible; nevertheless, Romans has a great deal of information about this doctrine.
Romans 8:28-30: “And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God: to them who are the called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, those whom he predestinated, he also called them; and whom he called, he also justified them; and whom he justified, he also glorified them.”
There are also other important, secondary doctrines that are taught in these two letters that are only briefly mentioned (if at all) in other letters of the Apostles (this list comes only from Romans, but there are more in Hebrews):
1) Be not conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of your mind:
Romans 12:1-2: “Therefore, I exhort you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice: holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this age; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
2) Be in subjection to human laws and governmental authorities:
Romans 13:1-2: “Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities: for there is no authority but of God; the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whosoever resists the authority, resists the ordinance of God; and they that resist shall receive condemnation to themselves.”
3) Do not destroy the Kingdom of God over the issues of food and drink:
Romans 14:16-19: “Therefore, do not allow your good to be spoken of as evil: for the Kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit: for he that serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Therefore, let us follow after the things which make for peace, and things by which one may strengthen another in the Lord.”
4) Help missionaries to reach other parts of the world for Christ:
Romans 15:20-24: “Moreover, in this manner have I striven to preach the Gospel: not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation; but as it is written, “To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.” For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you, whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way there by you, if I may first enjoy your company.”
5) Avoid those who preach a message that is contrary to the Scriptures:
Romans 16:17-18: “Now I exhort you, brethren: mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have now learned; and avoid them: for they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth words and flattery, they deceive the hearts of the naive.”
You might notice that all of these are found in the last chapter in Romans, which is
Chapter 2.5: The sanctification of believers through the Assembly of Jesus Christ (12:1 - 16:27)
Remember the key text of Romans:
Romans 1:17: “For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from saving faith to mature faith: as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’”
In a nutshell, this is the Divine Plan of these inspired letters of the Apostle Paul! They provide a perfect roadmap of basic Christian doctrines, from completion in Christ for Jews during the first century (Hebrews); and from salvation in Christ to mature faith in Christ (Romans).
Here is the complete outline for Book 5.1 in the Golden Ratio design of the Bible:
Unique Book 5.1 (Hebrews & Romans): The Way into a New Covenant Relationship with Jehovah God
Complement Part 1 (Hebrews): For believing Jews under the Old Covenant during the first century (1:1 - 13:25)
Opposite Chapter 1.1: God the Son came to Earth to become a man to complete the work of Salvation on the cross (1:1 - 4:13)
Opposite Chapter 1.2: God the Son returned into Heaven to be our Great High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek (4:14 - 7:28)
Complement Chapter 1.3: Look back to the Finished Work of Christ on the cross for your spiritual completion (8:1 - 10:31)
Complement Chapter 1.4: The Old Covenant saints looked forward with saving faith to their Messiah under the New Covenant (10:32 -11:40)
Unique Chapter 1.5: Obey the will of Jehovah God to become a completed Jew in Jesus Christ your Messiah (12:1 -13:25)
Complement Part 2 (Romans): For all Jews and Gentiles from the first century forward (1:1 - 16:27)
Opposite Chapter 2.1: Both Jews and Gentiles have rejected the one true God and will be judged by the Old Covenant Law of Moses (1:1 - 2:16)
Opposite Chapter 2.2: Both Jews and Gentiles can only be justified through faith alone in the New Covenant Finished Work of Christ (2:17 - 5:21)
Complement Chapter 2.3: The daily sanctification of believers through the Holy Spirit (6:1 - 8:39)
Complement Chapter 2.4: The final sanctification of Israel after the return of Christ (9:1 - 11:36)
Unique Chapter 2.5: The sanctification of believers through the Assembly of Jesus Christ (12:1 - 16:27)
Conclusion
Now I want to make one final point: you cannot find this level of doctrine in the Gospels: Matthew, Luke, John, Mark, or Acts! Those are historical accounts of the lives of Christ and his Apostles. Yes, there is doctrine that we can learn in the Gospels; however, they are not designed nor intended to be letters of doctrinal instruction!
False religions such as the Orthodox, Catholic, and liberal Protestant religions rely upon your ignorance of this fact, so that they can focus your attention on stories in the Gospels which appear on the surface to support their false teachings about the Way of Salvation and water baptism. However, when you study the Letters of Paul and the other Apostles, then the truth becomes clear that they are teaching major errors on these core doctrines.
And the Charismatics and Pentecostals want you to focus your attention on the Book of Acts, which was a historical account of a period of transition from the Old Covenant to the New, rather than on the Letters of the Apostles, especially Paul. This method will always lead to many doctrinal errors, because there are many instances where the people being spoken to were already saved under the Old Covenant (e.g. the Jews on the Day of Pentecost); and when Peter exhorted them to repent and be baptized in the Name of Jesus (Acts 2:38), he was not exhorting them to be saved, but to become completed Jews! Therefore, it is a major error to claim that this text should be preached to sinners today. It is a misapplication of the Word of God that creates much confusion and spiritual trouble for those who follow the Charismatic movement.
The Charismatic movement is filled with many errors, because they do not believe that the written Word of God is final. They believe that they can change the Bible anytime that they wish; and this is a spiritual disaster. I urge you to stay away from these kind of churches to protect yourself from their errors.
Do not allow them to lead you away from the teachings of the Apostles! Learn these doctrines as they were taught by the Apostle Paul, and you will protected from the influence of these kind of false teachings in the future. Amen.

How to be saved!
What about you? Have you been born again?
John 3:5-6: “Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born of water and also of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’”
If you believe that you will go to Heaven or you are saved because of one of the following:
“I have been baptized”, “I have been a Christian all my life”, “I am a good person”, “I haven’t robbed any banks”, “I am as good as anyone else”, “I keep the Ten Commandments”, “My dad is a deacon or a pastor”, “I pray to Mary and all of the saints”, “I do many good works”, “I am a good Catholic /Muslim /Hindu /Buddhist /Shinto /Jehovah’s Witness /Mormon /Baptist /Methodist /Anglican /Pentecostal”, “I have spoken in tongues”,
then you will certainly go to hell, because there are many false ways to God, but only ONE WAY to be saved!
John 14:6: “Jesus says to him, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, except through me.’”
Matthew 7:21-23: “Not every one that says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but only he that does the will of my Father, who is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your Name? And in your Name, have we not cast out demons? And in your Name, have we not done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.’
The Bible says,
“that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart, man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made into salvation: for the Scripture says, “Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him: for it is written, “whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13
Are you ready to do that? If so, then find a place to pray privately, and pray this prayer with all of your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

Introducción

Debido a que este es el capítulo final de Romanos en el diseño de la Proporción Áurea, quiero detenerme por un momento y revisar dónde hemos estado, para que podamos entender hacia dónde nos dirigimos en estos estudios.

Hebreos 1:8: “Pero al Hijo le dice, ‘Tu trono, oh Dios, perdura hasta las edades de las edades; un cetro de justicia es el cetro de tu Reino’”.
Jesús es el Creador Eterno del Universo y de todo lo que en él hay:
Hebreos 1:10-12: “Y, ‘Tú, [Jehová], en el principio has puesto los cimientos de la tierra, y los cielos son las obras de tus manos. Ellos perecerán, sino tú permaneces; y todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura; y como un manto los rodarás arriba, y serán transformados; pero tú eres el mismo, y tus años no acabarán’”.
c) La Persona y Obra del Espíritu Santo:
Dios el Espíritu Santo es el Dador de todas las señales, prodigios, milagros y dones espirituales:
Hebreos 2:4: “Dios también los dando testimonio: ambos con señales y prodigios, y con varios milagros y dones del Espíritu Santo, según su voluntad”.
¡El Espíritu Santo no es una fuerza, sino una Persona de la Deidad que habla como Jehová Dios, porque Él es Jehová Dios!
Hebreos 3:7-11: “Por lo tanto, como dice el Espíritu Santo, “Hoy, si oyereis su voz: no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la rebelión, en el día de la tentación en el desierto, donde vuestros padres me pusieron a prueba, me probaron y vieron mis obras cuarenta años. Por lo tanto, yo estaba afligido con esa generación, y dije, ‘Ellos siempre se extravían en su corazón, y no han conocido mis caminos’. Así que juré en mi ira, ‘No entrarán en mi reposo’”.
Jesús se ofreció a Dios por medio del Espíritu Santo, que es Eterno:
Hebreos 9:14: “¿Cuánto más la sangre de Cristo (quien a través del Espíritu Eterno se ofreció sin mancha hasta Dios) purgará vuestras conciencias desde las obras muertas para servir al Dios viviente?”.
2) Las Doctrinas de Jesucristo (Cristología)
a) El Sumo Sacerdocio de Jesucristo según Melquisedec
Hebreos 4:14-16: ““Viendo entonces que tenemos un gran Sumo Sacerdote que ha pasado en a los cielos, Jesús el Hijo de Dios, mantengamos firme nuestra profesión. Porque no tenemos un Sumo Sacerdote quien no puede simpatizar con nuestras debilidades; pero en todos los puntos, él fue tentado como somos, aún sin pecado. Por lo tanto, vengamos audazmente al Trono de la Gracia, que podamos obtener misericordia; y encontrar gracia para ayudar en tiempos de necesidad”.
Hebreos 7:21b: “pero este Jesús fue hecho Sumo Sacerdote con juramento por él que le dijo, ‘[Jehová] juró, y no se arrepentirá, ‘Tú eres sacerdote para siempre según el orden de Melquisedec’’)”.
b) La Obra terminada de Jesucristo en la cruz que expió todos nuestros pecados:
Hebreos 1:3b: “por él mismo habiendo hecho una limpieza de nuestros pecados”.
Hebreos 2:9: “Pero vemos a Jesús, quien por un corto tiempo fue hecho más bajo que los ángeles por el sufrimiento de la muerte, coronado de gloria y honor, para que él, por la gracia de Dios, debería gustar la muerte por cada hombre”.
Romanos 3:21-24: “Pero ahora, la justicia de Dios aparte de la Ley se revela (siendo testificada por la Ley y los Profetas), aun la justicia de Dios cual es a través de la fe de Jesucristo hasta todos y sobre todos los que creen: porque no hay diferencia: porque todos han pecado, y se han quedado cortos de la gloria de Dios; siendo justificados gratuitamente por su gracia mediante la redención que es en Cristo Jesús”.
c) La Obra Intercesora de Jesucristo por todos los creyentes:
Romanos 8:34: “¿Quién es él que condenará? Es Cristo quien murió por nuestros pecados; pero más que eso, fue resucitado de nuevo, quien está aun a la diestra de Dios, quien también hace intercesión por nosotros”.
3) La soteriología
a) Los judíos que fueron salvados bajos el Antiguo Pacto necesitaban hacer la transición a la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz desde los sacrificios de animales en el Templo de Jerusalén para llegar a ser completos en su fe en Jehová Dios (Hebreos):
Hebreos 6:1-3: “Por tanto, dejando los básicos de la doctrina de Cristo, déjanos ir adelante a la completitud [en el Nuevo Pacto]; no otra vez estableciendo el fundamento del arrepentimiento desde obras muertas, y de la fe en [Jehová] Dios, de la doctrina de lavados, y de la imposición de manos sobre el sacrificio de animal, y de la resurrección de los muertos, y del Juicio Eterno. Y haremos esto, si Dios lo permite”.
Hebreos 10:19-22: “Por lo tanto, hermanos, teniendo audacia para entrar en el lugar santísimo por la sangre de Jesús, por un camino nuevo y vivo cual él ha consagrado para nosotros a través del velo (es decir, su carne); y teniendo un Sumo Sacerdote permanente sobre la Casa de Dios, acerquémonos a Dios con corazón sincero, en plena certidumbre de fe: teniendo nuestros corazones purificados desde una mala conciencia, y nuestros cuerpos lavados con agua pura”.
b) El estudio de la salvación para los pecadores (judíos o gentiles), o cómo tener una relación del Nuevo Pacto con Jehová Dios (Romanos):
Romanos 1:18: “Porque la ira de Dios se revela desde el Cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, quienes suprimen la verdad en injusticia”
Romanos 3:23: “Porque todos han pecado, y se han quedado cortos de la gloria de Dios”.
Romanos 4:1-3: “¿Qué, pues, diremos que Abraham nuestro padre (según a la carne) ha encontrado? Porque si Abraham fue justificado por las obras, tiene algo de lo que gloriarse. Pero no delante Dios: porque ¿qué dice la Escritura? Abraham “creyó en [Jehová]; y su fe fue acreditada a él por justicia”.
Romanos 4:16: “Por tanto, [la justificación] es por la fe, que puede ser por gracia, hasta el propósito que la promesa podría ser segura para toda la semilla; no sólo a lo que es de la Ley, sino también a lo que es de la fe de Abraham”.
Romanos 10:8-13: “Pero ¿qué dice? “La Palabra está cerca de ti, incluso en tu boca y en tu corazón”, es decir, la Palabra de fe (que predicamos), que si confesarás con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creerás en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, tú serás salvado: porque con el corazón, el hombre cree para justicia, y con la boca, la confesión se hace para la salvación: porque la Escritura dice, “cualquiera que en él creyere, no será avergonzado”. Porque no hay diferencia entre el judio y el gentil: porque el mismo Señor sobre todo es rico a todos los que le invocan: porque está escrito, “Cualquiera que llamará sobre el Nombre del Señor será salvado”.
4) La Santificación
a) Cómo un creyente en Jesucristo nacido de nuevo debe comenzar su caminar con Cristo: Bautismo de creyentes en aguas profundas.
Romanos 6:1-5: “¿Qué diremos entonces? ¿Continuaremos en el pecado para que la gracia pueda abundar? ¡Ciertamente no! ¿Cómo podremos nosotros, que morimos al pecado, viviremos ya más en él? ¿No sabéis, que como muchos de nosotros que fuimos bautizados con referencia a Jesucristo, fuimos bautizados como señal de su muerte? Por lo tanto, fuimos sepultados con él por el bautismo con referencia a la muerte, de modo que, en la misma manera que Cristo resucitó de los muertos por la gloria del Padre: aún así, también deberíamos caminar en la novedad de la Vida. Porque si hemos sido plantados juntos en la semejanza de su muerte, también caminaremos en la semejanza de su resurrección”.
b) Cómo un creyente nacido de nuevo en Jesucristo puede tener victoria diaria sobre el pecado (Entregar su cuerpo y alma al Espíritu Santo diariamente - Romans 7:1-8:27)
Romanos 8:1-4: “Por lo tanto, ahora no hay condenación para los que están en Cristo Jesús, quien no andan conforme a la carne, sino según el espíritu: porque la Ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha hecho libre desde la Ley del pecado y de la muerte: porque, lo que la Ley de Moisés no podía hacer, en que ello era débil a través de la carne: Dios, enviando a su Hijo en la semejanza de la carne pecaminosa y para el pecado, condenó el pecado en la carne; para que la justicia de la Ley podría cumplirse en nosotros, quien no caminamos según la carne, sino según el Espíritu”.
5) La elección
Para ver el panorama completo de la elección, es necesario incluir textos de los Evangelios así como otros libros de la Biblia; sin embargo, Romanos tiene mucha información sobre esta doctrina.
Romanos 8:28-30: “Y sabemos que todas las cosas cooperan para bien, a los que aman a Dios: a los que son los llamados según su propósito. Para aquellos a quienes él conoció de antemano, también los predestinó a ser conformados a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos. Además, a los quien él predestinó, también él llamó a ellos; y los quien él llamó, también él justificó a ellos; y los quien justificó, también él glorificó a ellos”.
También hay otras doctrinas secundarias importantes que se enseñan en estas dos cartas que solo se mencionan brevemente (si es que se mencionan) en otras cartas de los Apóstoles (esta lista proviene solo de Romanos, pero hay más en Hebreos):
1) No os conforméis a este edad; sino sé transformado por la renovación de vuestra mente:
Romanos 12:1-2: “Por tanto, yo os exhorto, hermanos, por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos como un sacrificio vivo: santo y aceptable para Dios, cual es vuestro servicio razonable. Y no os conforméis a este edad; sino sé transformado por la renovación de vuestra mente, para que puedas discernir cuál es esa buena, aceptable y perfecta voluntad de Dios”.
2) Estar en sujeción a las leyes humanas y a las autoridades gubernamentales:
Romanos 13:1-2: “Que cada alma esté sujeta a las autoridades superiores: porque no hay autoridad pero de Dios; las autoridades que existen son nombradas por Dios. Por lo tanto, cualquiera que resiste a la autoridad, resiste a la ordenanza de Dios; y los que resistan, recibirán condenación para sí mismos”.
3) No destruyáis el Reino de Dios sobre las cuestiones de comida y bebida:
Romanos 14:16-19: “Por tanto, no permitas que se hable de tu bien como un mal: porque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida; sino justicia, y paz, y gozo en el Espíritu Santo: porque él que sirve a Cristo en estas cosas, es aceptable a Dios, y aprobado por los hombres. Por tanto, sigamos las cosas que contribuyen a la paz, y cosas por las cuales uno puede fortalecer al otro [en el Señor]”.
4) Ayude a los misioneros a alcanzar otras partes del mundo para Cristo:
Romanos 15:20-24: “Además, de esta manera me he esforzado por predicar el Evangelio: no donde Cristo fuese ya nombrado, no sea que podría edificar sobre el fundamento de otro hombre, sino, como está escrito, “A quien, él no se habló sobre, verán; y los que no han oído, entenderán”. Por lo cual también se me ha impedido mucho ir a ustedes. Pero ahora, no teniendo más lugar en estas partes, y teniendo un gran deseo estos muchos años de ir a ustedes, siempre que tomo mi viaje a España, vendré a ustedes: porque confío verte en mi viaje, y ser traído en mi camino allí por ustedes, si primero yo puedo disfrutar de vuestra compañía”.
5) Eviten a los que predican un mensaje contrario a las Escrituras:
Romanos 16:17-18: “Ahora os exhorto, hermanos: señalad a aquellos que causan divisiones y escándalos en contra de la doctrina que ustedes ahora ha aprendido; y evitad a ellos: porque los que son tales no sirven a nuestro Señor Jesucristo, sino al propio estómago de ellos; y con palabras suaves y lisonjas engañan el corazón de los ingenuos”.
Podrías notar que todos estos se encuentran en el último capítulo de Romanos, que es
Capítulo 2.5: La santificación de los creyentes a través de la Asamblea de Jesucristo (12:1 - 16:27)
Recuerde el texto clave de Romanos:
Romanos 1:17: “Porque en ella, la justicia de Dios se revela desde la fe salvadora a la fe madura, como está escrito, “El justo vivirá por la fe”.
En pocas palabras, ¡este es el Plan Divino de estas cartas inspiradas del apóstol Pablo! Proporcionan una hoja de ruta perfecta de las doctrinas cristianas básicas, desde la completad en Cristo para los judíos durante el primer siglo (hebreos); y de la salvación en Cristo a la fe madura en Cristo (Romanos)

Conclusión
Ahora quiero hacer una última observación: no se puede encontrar este nivel de doctrina en los Evangelios: Mateo, Lucas, Juan, Marcos o Hechos! Esos son relatos históricos de las vidas de Cristo y sus Apóstoles. Sí, hay doctrina que podemos aprender en los Evangelios; sin embargo, ¡no están diseñadas ni pretenden ser cartas de instrucción doctrinal!
Las religiones falsas, como la ortodoxa, la católica y la protestante liberal, dependen de tu ignorancia de este hecho, para que puedan centrar tu atención en las historias de los Evangelios que aparecen en la superficie para respaldar sus falsas enseñanzas sobre el Camino de la Salvación y el bautismo en agua. Sin embargo, cuando estudias las Cartas de Pablo y los otros Apóstoles, la verdad queda clara: están enseñando grandes errores en estas doctrinas centrales.
Y los carismáticos y pentecostales quieren que usted centre tu atención en el Libro de los Hechos, que fue un relato histórico de un período de transición al Antiguo Pacto a la Nueva, más que en las Cartas de los Apóstoles, especialmente Pablo. Este método siempre conducirá a muchos errores doctrinales, porque hay muchos casos en los que las personas a las que se les habla ya fueron salvadas bajo el Antiguo Pacto (p.ej. los judíos en el día de pentecostés); y cuando Pedro los exhortó a arrepentirse y ser bautizados en el Nombre de Jesús (Hechos 2:38), ¡Él no los estaba exhortando a ser salvados, sino a convertirse en judíos completos! Por lo tanto, es un gran error afirmar que este texto debe ser predicado a los pecadores hoy. Es una mala aplicación de la Palabra de Dios que crea mucha confusión y problemas espirituales para quienes siguen el movimiento carismático.
El movimiento carismático está lleno de muchos errores, porque no creen que la Palabra escrita de Dios es final. Creen que pueden cambiar la Biblia cuando quieran; pero esto es un desastre espiritual. Les insto a que se mantengan alejados de este tipo de iglesias para protegerse de sus errores.
¡No les permitáis para os desvíen de las enseñanzas de los Apóstoles! Aprende estas doctrinas tal como las enseñó el apóstol Pablo y estará protegido de la influencia de este tipo de enseñanzas falsas en el futuro. Amén.

¿Qué pasa contigo? ¿Ha sido nacido de nuevo?
Juan 3:5-6: “Respondió Jesús, ‘Verdaderamente, verdaderamente, te digo, que a menos que nazca un hombre de agua y también del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el Reino de Dios; lo que es nacido de la carne, es carne, y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, es espíritu’”.
Si crees que irás al Cielo o que eres salvado debido a uno de los siguientes:
“He sido bautizado”, “He sido cristiano toda mi vida”, “Soy una buena persona”, “No he robado ningún banco”, “Soy tan bueno como cualquiera”, “Mantengo el Diez Mandamientos”, “Mi papá es diácono o pastor”, “Rezo a María y a todos los santos”, “Hago muchas buenas obras”, “Soy un buen católico/ musulmán /hindú /budista /sintoísta/ Testigo de Jehová/ Mormón /Bautista /Metodista /Anglicano /Pentecostal”, “He hablado en lenguas”,
entonces ciertamente irás al infierno, porque hay muchos caminos falsos a Dios, pero sólo ¡UNA MANERA de ser salvado!
Juan 14:6: “Jesús le dijo, ‘Soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí’”.
Mateo 7:21-23: “No todo el que me dice, ‘Señor, Señor’, entrará en el Reino del Cielo; sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre quien está en el Cielo. Muchos me dirán en aquel día, diciendo: ‘Señor, Señor, ¿no hemos profetizado en tu Nombre? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos echado fuera demonios? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos hecho muchas obras maravillosas?’. Y entonces yo profesaré a ellos, ‘Nunca os conocí; apartaos de mí, obradores de maldad’”.
La Biblia dice,
“que si confesarás con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creerás en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, tú serás salvado: porque con el corazón, el hombre cree para justicia, y con la boca, la confesión se hace para la salvación: porque la Escritura dice, “cualquiera que en él creyere, no será avergonzado”. Porque no hay diferencia entre el judio y el gentil: porque el mismo Señor sobre todo es rico a todos los que le invocan: porque está escrito, “Cualquiera que llamará sobre el Nombre del Señor será salvado”. Romanos 10:9-13

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra USTED. ¡No soy bueno y usted eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”
