Romans, Chapter 2.4: The final sanctification of Israel after the Return of Christ (9:1 - 11:36)

§Unique Introduction: Most Jews have rejected the Gospel, despite being stewards of the truth of God under the Old Covenant (9:1 - 13)

¶Opposite Paul wished that he could go to Hell so that his fellow Israelites according to the flesh could be saved (9:1 - 5)

¶Opposite The children of the Promise are the true seed of Israel, not the children of the flesh (9:6 - 13)

§Complement Body: God has elected a remnant of the Jews to be saved, even though the majority rejected the Gospel of Christ (9:14 - 10:21)

¶Unique God has mercy on whom He will have mercy (9:14 - 18)

¶Complement God has power over his own creation, to elect to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor (9:19 - 24)

¶Complement The Prophets prophesied that a remnant of Israel would be chosen by election (9:25 - 33)

¶Opposite The righteousness of God can only be obtained through faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ (10:1 - 15)

Introduction

In the Introduction section, Paul explained that most Jews rejected the Gospel in the first century, in spite of the great privileges that they had as a nation under the Old Covenant; but Paul also explained that most Jews were not the children of God by faith under the Old Covenant: they were the children of the flesh; and they had a name and DNA that was Jewish, but otherwise, they were only religious, not saved.

In the Body section, Paul explained that in spite of the fact that most Jews refused to embrace Jesus Christ as their Messiah, God had chosen some to believe in Jesus (such as Paul and others), who did believe in Jesus Christ as their Messiah.

Mankind has a natural predisposition to rebel against God, because of their sin natures. This is why sinners do not like to hear about sin, the Law of Moses (which condemns them), and the Gospel. Their souls are in rebellion against God; and they know that if they want to be saved, they must repent; and that involves admitting that they are wrong, and that God is right!

Therefore, there are two basic kinds of election

1) God knows in advance who will be saved, and who will never be saved; and those whom He foreknew would repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, He also predestinated them to be conformed to the image of his Son.

Romans 8:29: “For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Romans 10:17: “So then, faith comes by hearing; and hearing by the Word of God.”

All of the others, who refuse to repent and believe the Gospel, they are allowed to go their own way into Hell; but God never chose anyone to go to Hell!

Rebellion against God receives judgment from God in the form of hardening of the heart. This is not an election to Hell: it is punishment for rebelling against God! Hardening of the heart makes it harder to be saved! It is as if God said (these are my words),

“Since you refuse to repent and believe in Christ, I’m going to make it harder for you to be saved.”

Romans 9:18: “Therefore he has mercy on whom he will have mercy; and whom he chooses, he hardens.”

In other words, going to Hell becomes more likely, but it is still possible for the sinner to repent and believe in Christ.

There is “a sin unto death”! In other words, a sinner can commit certain sins against God the Holy Spirit that will close the ears of God against the sinner forever:

Matthew 12:31-32: Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven to men. And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him; neither in this Age, nor in the Age to come.”

Once again, this is not an election to Hell; it just means that God will never listen to the sinner, even if he repents and calls upon God to save him, because it is too late. He has sinned against God in such a way that forgiveness is no longer possible.

A born again Christian can also commit sins unto physical death! The Christian cannot lose his salvation; however, he can lose his life with rebellion against God. This kind of sinning by a true believer in Christ is an incredible tragedy.

2) God chose some special people to be saved (Abraham, Saul of Tarsus, John the Baptist and others).

Abraham: he had no Gospel, no churches, no missionaries; and yet, Jehovah called him to follow him, and Abraham did; and eventually, Abraham believed the Word of Jehovah, and his faith was credited to him for righteousness (Romans 4:3).

John the Baptist:

Luke 1:15: “for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor alcohol; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.”

Saul of Tarsus (who became the Apostle Paul): Jesus met with Saul in a vision on the road to Damascus as he was going there to capture and imprison Christians.

Acts 9:15-16: “But the Lord said to him, “Go your way: for he is a chosen vessel to me, to carry my Name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: for I will show him what great things he must suffer for my Name’s sake.”

Opposite “I say then: Has God cast away his people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away his people, which he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah? How he makes intercession to God against Israel, saying, “Lord, they have slain your Prophets, and undermined your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.” But what is the answer of God to him? “I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.” Even so then, at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, then it is no longer grace; otherwise, work is no longer work.

Opposite “What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks for; but the election has obtained it; and the rest were blinded until this day; according as it is written, “God has given them the spirit of slumber: eyes that they might not see, and ears that they might not hear, until this day.” And David says, “Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumblingblock, and a retribution to them; let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see; and bow down their back always.”

Complement “I say then: Have they stumbled that they should fall permanently? Certainly not! But rather, through their fall, salvation has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.

Complement “Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them is the riches of the Gentiles, how much more their fullness? For I speak to you Gentiles, seeing that I am the Apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify my office, if by any means, I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them is the reconciliation of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them, you partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree: boast not against the branches. But if you boast, know that you do not sustain the root, but the root sustains you.

Unique “You will say then, “The branches were broken off, so that I might be grafted in.” Well, because of their unbelief, they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear: for if God spared not the natural branches, beware lest he also does not spare you. Behold, therefore, the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise, you also shall be cut off. And they also, if they do not remain still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Comments: So Israel stumbled when they heard to Gospel of Jesus Christ; and as a result, God removed Israel from the stewardship of the truth of God in his Word, the Holy Bible; and God gave the stewardship of his Word to Gentiles through local, independent churches.

This should fill every pastor and servant of Jesus Christ with the fear of God! God has given the stewardship of the Christian Faith to his servants: Pastors, Evangelists, and Bible teachers.

The stewardship of the Christian Faith involves several things:

1) The defense of the Holy Bible from the enemies of Jesus Christ (apologetics):

Philippians 1:17b: “I am set for the defense of the Gospel.”

2) The faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (evangelism):

Acts 20:26-27: “Therefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all: for I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.”

3) Faithfulness to live a holy life in the sight of everyone, in order that God might be magnified and that his Holy Name not be blasphemed:

2 Timothy 2:20-21: “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purges himself from these things, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, very useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.”

2 Samuel 12:14: “Nevertheless, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die.”

God has given the stewardship of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Gentile churches FOR NOW; but this situation will not last forever!

Romans 11:11: “I say then: Have they stumbled that they should fall permanently? Certainly not! But rather, through their fall, salvation has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.

¶Complement Jehovah will save Israel in the Millennial Kingdom and restore them to his favor as before (11:25 - 36)

Opposite “For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brethren (lest perhaps you are wise in your own conceits), that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.

Opposite “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, ‘The Savior shall come out of Zion, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: for this is my Covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins.’”

Complement “As concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes: for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance by him.

Complement “For as you, in times past, have not believed God, yet now have obtained mercy through their unbelief, even so now, these also have not believed, so that through your mercy, they also may obtain mercy: for God has confined them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Unique “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his Judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? Or who has first given to him, and it shall be repaid to him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things; to whom be glory into the Ages. Amen.”

Romans 11:26-27: “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, ‘The Savior shall come out of Zion, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: for this is my Covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins.’”

Comments: Now there are many Calvinist (or Reformed) churches who teach that God has permanently forsaken Israel, and replaced Israel with “the church”: This is called “Replacement Theology”.

This heresy originated with Roman Catholicism and pagan popery! It is not Christian, and it is not Biblical!

The Roman Catholic religion, and also the Russian and Greek Orthodox, has persecuted the Jews for centuries with viscous and evil pogroms: destroying their homes, murdering them, and causing the Jews to be scattered over the entire world.

The Jews are the chosen people of Jehovah God. However, individual Jews must repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Messiah or they will go to Hell, like all sinners.

Romans 10:1-4: “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel, is that they might be saved: for I bear them witness that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge: for they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God: for Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for righteousness to every one that believes in him.”

But God has not forsaken the nation of Israel as his people! God has many great things planned for the Jews, including the following:

1) During the Millennial Kingdom of Christ (after the Return of Christ), the Jews will rule the world, along with the Apostles of Jesus, under Jesus Christ as the King of Israel, who will rule the Universe from the throne of David in Jerusalem:

Jesus said to the Apostles, “You are they who have continued with me in my trials; and I appoint to you a Kingdom, as my Father has appointed to me, that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Luke 22:28-30

Jehovah spoke of Israel: “Arise, shine: for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you: for, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but Jehovah shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together; they come to you. Your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.” Isaiah 60:1-4

2) The Gentiles will bring their riches to Israel, because it will be the most powerful nation on the Earth:

“And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: for in my wrath I smote you, but in my favor have I had mercy on you. Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought: for the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; moreover, those nations shall be utterly wasted. The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my Sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. Also the sons of them that afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all they that despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you ‘The city of Jehovah’, and ‘The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.’ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations. Also you shall suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shall suck the breast of kings; and you shall know that I Jehovah am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. For bronze will I bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood bronze, and for stones iron. Also I will make your officers peace, and your tax collectors righteousness.” Isaiah 60:10-17

3) Jehovah God will bless Israel beyond measure:

Isaiah 61:4-9: “And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And Gentiles shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But you shall be named the priests of Jehovah; men shall call you the ministers of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves. Instead of your shame you shall have double, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion; therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them. For I Jehovah love judgment; I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting Covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Jehovah has blessed.”

4) God Himself will dwell with Israel in the Holy Land in Jerusalem:

Ezekiel 43:1-5: “Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the east; and, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was like a sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. And the glory of Jehovah came into the House by the way of the gate which faces toward the east. So the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the House.”

Ezekiel 48:35b: “And the name of the city from that day shall be, ‘JEHOVAH IS THERE.’”

God did not speak these words in vain! God meant exactly what He said, and He said what He meant! Amen. This future Kingdom of Christ is the Zion of God!

False Zions from Satan

This is also why Satan created several different fraudulent versions of Zion:

1) Islam was created by Mohammad with the assistance of a fallen angel (a demon, a servant of Satan) who spoke to him. Islam claims that their version of Zion is centered in Arabia; and it includes all of the lands that were conquered by Mulsim armies in the past. Islam is a militant religion that desires to conquer the entire Earth. Islam denies that God has a Son and that Jesus never died on the cross which makes it an Antichrist religion that damns every soul who follows it into Hell:

1 John 2:22-23: "Who is the liar, if not he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist: the one who denies the equality of the Father and the Son. Whosoever denies the Son, does not have the Father; but he that confesses the Son has the Father also."

2) Mormonism was created by Joseph Smith with the assistance of another fallen angel (a demon, a servant of Satan) who spoke to him. The followers of Joseph Smith established another version of Zion in Utah in the United States. This religion has only a vague resemblance to Bible Christianity, with some similar names, but completely different meanings. For example, they claim that Adam became God the Father, that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, that we can also become gods just like Adam did; and so on. It is a pagan religion that was created by Satan to deceive and damn more souls into Hell.

Beware of these two religions in particular; but there are also other cults that claim similar things, although they are smaller. The Word of God warns us about "angels" who bring new doctrines that contradict the inspired teachings of the Apostles of Jesus Christ (Paul, Peter, John, Jude):

Galatians 1:6-9: "I marvel that you so quickly removed yourselves from him that called you in the grace of Christ into a different gospel; which is a false gospel; but there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the true Gospel of Christ. But though we, or even an angel from Heaven, preach any gospel to you different from what we have already preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so now I say again, if any man preaches any gospel to you different from what you have already received from us [the Apostles of Christ], let him be accursed."

Conclusion

The nation of Israel has a glorious future, and God will never forsake them!

Jeremiah 33:19-26: “And the Word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying, “Thus says Jehovah: ‘If you can break my Covenant of the day, and my Covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season, then may also my Covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered; neither the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister to me.’”

Moreover the Word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying, “Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, ‘The two families which Jehovah has chosen, he has even cast them off?’ Thus have they despised my people, that they should no longer be a nation before them.’ Thus says Jehovah: ‘If my Covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.’”

Zechariah 2:8-9: “For thus says Jehovah of hosts: ‘After the glory has he sent me to the nations which plundered you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye: for, behold, I will shake my hand upon them; and they shall be a plunder to their servants. And you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me.’”

Zechariah 2:10-12: “‘Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I am coming, and I will dwell in your midst,’ says Jehovah. ‘And many nations shall be joined to Jehovah in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in your midst; and you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you. And Jehovah shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.”

Jeremiah 51:5: “For Israel has not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, by Jehovah of hosts, though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.’”

Replacement theology is a doctrine that came from the devil, and not from God! Amen. All of the “mainline churches” (Roman Catholic, both Orthodox religions, most Protestant churches, and many “reformed” Baptist churches) all believe that God has permanently forsaken Israel and that they have replaced Israel; but the truth is that these churches are apostate, and one day, God will destroy them and He will restore Israel to his favor and blessing when Christ returns as their Messiah. This is the teaching of the Bible.

Churches that teach the Biblical view include Baptists that are independent, Fundamental, and Bible believing; Dispensational (NOT Reformed); and a few others such as Plymouth Brethren and Bible churches.

Those who bless Israel will be blessed by God, and those who curse Israel will be cursed by God, Amen.

Genesis 12:3: Jehovah said, “And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

How to be saved!

What about you? Have you been born again?

John 3:5-6: “Jesus answered, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born of water and also of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’”

If you believe that you will go to Heaven or you are saved because of one of the following:

“I have been baptized”, “I have been a Christian all my life”, “I am a good person”, “I haven’t robbed any banks”, “I am as good as anyone else”, “I keep the Ten Commandments”, “My dad is a deacon or a pastor”, “I pray to Mary and all of the saints”, “I do many good works”, “I am a good Catholic /Muslim /Hindu /Buddhist /Shinto /Jehovah’s Witness /Mormon /Baptist /Methodist /Anglican /Pentecostal”, “I have spoken in tongues”,

then you will certainly go to hell, because there are many false ways to God, but only ONE WAY to be saved!

John 14:6: “Jesus says to him, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, except through me.’”

Matthew 7:21-23: “Not every one that says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but only he that does the will of my Father, who is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your Name? And in your Name, have we not cast out demons? And in your Name, have we not done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.’

The Bible says,

“that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart, man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made into salvation: for the Scripture says, “Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him: for it is written, “whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13

Are you ready to do that? If so, then find a place to pray privately, and pray this prayer with all of your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

Introducción

En la sección de Introducción, Pablo explicó que la mayoría de los judíos rechazaron el Evangelio en el primer siglo, a pesar de los grandes privilegios que tenían como nación bajo el Antiguo Pacto; pero Pablo también explicó que la mayoría de los judíos no eran hijos de Dios por la fe bajo el Antiguo Pacto: eran los hijos de la carne; y tenían un nombre y ADN que era judío, pero por lo demás, solo eran religiosos, no salvados.

En la sección del Cuerpo, Pablo explicó que a pesar de que la mayoría de los judíos se negaron a aceptar a Jesucristo como su Mesías, Dios había elegido a algunos para creer en Jesús (como Pablo y otros), quienes sí creían en Jesucristo como su Mesías.

La humanidad tiene una predisposición natural a rebelarse contra Dios debido a su naturaleza pecaminosa. Por eso a los pecadores no les gusta oír hablar del pecado, de la Ley de Moisés (que los condena) y del Evangelio. Sus almas están en rebelión contra Dios; y saben que si quieren ser salvados, deben arrepentirse; ¡y eso implica admitir que están equivocados y que Dios tiene razón!

Por tanto, hay dos tipos básicos de elección:

1) Dios sabe de antemano quiénes serán salvados y quiénes nunca serán salvados; y a los que antes conoció se arrepentirían y creerían en el Evangelio de Jesucristo, también los predestinó para que fueran conformados a la imagen de su Hijo.

Romanos 8:29: “Para aquellos a quienes él conoció de antemano, también los predestinó a ser conformados a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos”.

Romanos 10:17: “Así pues, la fe viene por el oír; y el oír por la Palabra de Dios”.

A todos los demás, que se niegan a arrepentirse y creer en el Evangelio, se les permite ir por su propio camino dentro el Infierno; ¡Pero Dios nunca eligió a nadie para ir al infierno!

La rebelión contra Dios recibe el juicio de Dios en forma de endurecimiento del corazón. Esta no es una elección al infierno: ¡es un castigo por rebelarse contra Dios! ¡El endurecimiento del corazón hace que sea más difícil ser salvado! Es como si Dios dijera (estas son mis palabras),

“Ya que te niegas a arrepentirte y creer en Cristo, voy a hacer que te resulte más difícil ser salvado”.

Romanos 9:18: “Por lo tanto, tiene misericordia de quien él tendrá misericordia; y al que elige, él endurece”.

En otras palabras, ir al infierno se vuelve más probable, pero aún es posible que el pecador se arrepienta y crea en Cristo.

¡Hay “un pecado de muerte”! En otras palabras, un pecador puede cometer ciertos pecados contra Dios Espíritu Santo que cerrarán los oídos de Dios contra el pecador para siempre:

Mateo 12:31-32: Jesús dijo, “Por tanto os digo: todo pecado y blasfemia será perdonado a los hombres; pero la blasfemia contra el Espíritu Santo no les será perdonada a los hombres. Y a cualquiera que dijere palabra contra el Hijo del hombre, le será perdonado; pero a cualquiera que hablare contra el Espíritu Santo, no le será perdonado, ni en este mundo, ni en el venidero”.

Una vez más, ésta no es una elección al infierno; simplemente significa que Dios nunca escuchará al pecador, incluso si se arrepiente y clama a Dios para que lo salve, porque ya es demasiado tarde. Ha pecado contra Dios de tal manera que el perdón ya no es posible.

¡Un cristiano nacido de nuevo también puede cometer pecados hasta la muerte física! El cristiano no puede perder su salvación; sin embargo, puede perder la vida con la rebelión contra Dios. Este tipo de pecado por parte de un verdadero creyente en Cristo es una tragedia increíble.

2) Dios escogió para salvados a algunas personas especiales (Abraham, Saulo de Tarso, Juan el Bautista y otros).

Abraham: no tenía evangelio, ni iglesias, ni misioneros; y sin embargo, Jehová lo llamó para que lo siguiera, y Abraham hizo; y finalmente, Abraham creyó en la Palabra de Jehová, y su fe le fue contada por justicia. (Romanos 4:3).

Juan el Bautista: Lucas 1:15: “porque él será grande en ojos de Jehová, y no beberá vino ni alcohol; y él será lleno del Espíritu Santo, incluso desde el vientre de su madre”.

Saulo de Tarso (quien se convirtió en el apóstol Pablo): Jesús se encontró con Saulo en una visión en el camino a Damasco cuando se dirigía allí para capturar y encarcelar a los cristianos.

Hechos 9:15-16: “Pero le dijo el Señor, “Sigue tu camino, porque él es un instrumento elegido para mí, para llevar mi nombre ante los gentiles, los reyes y los hijos de Israel: porque le mostraré a él las grandes cosas que debe sufrir por el bien de mi Nombre”.

Lo opuesto “Digo, pues: ¿ha desechado Dios a su pueblo? ¡Ciertamente no! Porque también soy israelita, de la simiente de Abraham, de la tribu de Benjamín. Dios no ha desechado a su pueblo, al cual antes conoció. ¿No sabéis lo que la Escritura dice de Elías? Cómo él hace intercesión a Dios contra Israel, diciendo, “Señor, han matado a tus profetas y minaron tus altares; y me quedo solo, y buscan mi vida. Pero ¿cuál es la respuesta de Dios a él? “Me he reservado para mi siete mil hombres, que no han doblado la rodilla ante la imagen de Baal”. Aun asi entonces, también en este tiempo queda un remanente según la elección de la gracia. Y si por gracia, ya no es de obras, de lo contrario la gracia ya no es gracia. Pero si es por obras, ya no es gracia; de lo contrario, la obra ya no es la obra.

Lo opuesto “¿Qué entonces? Israel no ha obtenido lo que él busca, pero los elegidos lo ha obtenido, y el resto fueron cegados hasta el día de hoy; según está escrito, “Dios les ha dado el espíritu del sueño: ojos que ellos pueden no ver y oídos que ellos podrían no escuchar, hasta el día de hoy”. Y David dice, “Que la mesa de ellos se convierta en un lazo, una trampa, una piedra de tropiezo, y una retribución para ellos; que se oscurezcan los ojos de ellos para que no vean, y e inclinar la espalda de ellos siempre”.

El complemento “Digo, pues: ¿Han tropezado que deberían caer permanentemente? ¡Ciertamente no! Pero más bien, a través de su caída, la salvación ha llegado a los gentiles, con el fin de provocarlos a los celos.

El complemento “Ahora, si la caída de ellos es la riqueza del mundo, y la disminución de ellos es la riqueza de los gentiles, ¿cuánto más la plenitud de ellos? Porque os hablo gentiles, viendo que soy el Apóstol de los gentiles, yo magnifico mi oficio, si por alguna manera puedo provocar a la emulación a los que son mi carne, y podría salvar a algunos de ellos. Porque si el rechazamiento de ellos es la reconciliación del mundo, ¿qué será el recibimiento de ellos, sino vida de entre los muertos? Porque si el primer fruto es santo, el bulto también es santo; y si la raíz es santa, también lo son las ramas. Y si algunas de las ramas fueron quebradas, y tú, siendo olivo silvestre fuiste injertado en entre ellas; y con ellos, tú participas de la raíz y la gordura del olivo: no te jactes contra las ramas. Pero si te jactas, sabe que tú no sostienes la raíz, sino que la raíz te sostiene a ti.

Único “Dirás entonces, “Las ramas fueron quebradas, para que yo podría estar injertado en”. Bien; a causa de su incredulidad, se rompieron; y por la fe tú estás en pie. No te enaltezcas, pero teme: porque si Dios no escatimó a las ramas naturales, ten cuidado, no sea que el no te escatima tampoco. He aquí, por tanto, la bondad y la severidad de Dios: Sobre los que cayeron, la severidad; pero hacia ti, la bondad, si continúas en su bondad; de lo contrario, también serás cortado. Y ellos también, si no permanecieren aún en la incredulidad, serán injertados en: porque Dios es poderoso para injertarlos de nuevo. Porque si tú fuiste cortado del olivo que es salvaje por naturaleza, y fuiste injertado contra la naturaleza en un buen olivo: ¿cuánto más éstos, que son las ramas naturales, serán injertados en su propio olivo?”.

Comentarios: Así tropezó Israel cuando oyó el evangelio de Jesucristo; y como resultado, Dios quitó a Israel de la mayordomía de la verdad de Dios en su Palabra, la Santa Biblia; y Dios dio la mayordomía de su Palabra a los gentiles a través de iglesias locales e independientes.

¡Esto debería llenar a cada pastor y siervo de Jesucristo del temor de Dios! Dios ha dado la mayordomía de la fe cristiana a sus siervos: pastores, evangelistas y maestros de la Biblia.

La mayordomía de la fe cristiana implica varias cosas:

1) La defensa de la Santa Biblia desde los enemigos de Jesucristo (apologética):

Filipenses 1:17b: “estoy listo para la defensa del Evangelio”.

2) La fiel proclamación del Evangelio de Jesucristo (evangelismo):

Hechos 20:26-27: “Por tanto os hago constar hoy que soy limpio de la sangre de todos, porque no he rehuido declararos todo el consejo de Dios”.

3) Fidelidad para vivir una vida santa ante los ojos de todos, para que Dios sea magnificado y su Santo Nombre no sea blasfemado:

2 Timoteo 2:20-21: “Pero en una casa grande, no sólo hay vasos de oro y de plata, sino también de madera y de barro; y asimismo unos para honra, y otros para deshonra. Así que, si alguno se limpiare de estas cosas, será vaso para honra, santificado, y útil al Señor, y preparado para toda buena obra”.

2 Samuel 12:14: “Sin embargo, por cuanto con este hecho has dado gran ocasión a los enemigos de Jehová para blasfemar, el niño también que nace a ti ciertamente morirá”.

Dios ha dado la mayordomía del Evangelio de Jesucristo a las iglesias gentiles POR AHORA; ¡Pero esta situación no durará para siempre!

Romanos 11:11: “Digo, pues: ¿Han tropezado que deberían caer permanentemente? ¡Ciertamente no! Pero más bien, a través de su caída, la salvación ha llegado a los gentiles, con el fin de provocarlos a los celos”.

¶El complemento Jehová salvará a Israel en el Reino Milenial y los restaurará a su favor como antes (11:25 - 36)

Lo opuesto “Porque no quiero a ustedes ser ignorante de este misterio, hermanos (no sea que ustedes son sabios en sus propias vanidades), que la ceguera en parte ha acontecido a Israel, hasta que la plenitud de los gentiles viene en.

Lo opuesto “Y así todo Israel serán salvados; como está escrito, “El Salvador saldrá de Sión y apartará la impiedad de Jacob: porque éste es mi Pacto con ellos, cuando quitaré sus pecados”.

El complemento “En cuanto al Evangelio, ellos son enemigos por vuestros bien; pero en cuanto a la elección, son muy amados por el bien de los padres: porque los dones y el llamado de Dios sin arrepentimiento por parte de él.

El complemento “Porque como ustedes, en otro tiempo, no creísteis a Dios, pero ahora habéis alcanzado misericordia a través de la incredulidad de ellos; aun así ahora, estos también no han creído, para que a través de vuestra misericordia, ellos también pueden obtener misericordia: porque Dios confinó a todos en desobediencia para poder mostrar misericordia a todos.

Único ¡Oh la profundidad de las riquezas ambas de la sabiduría y del conocimiento de Dios! ¡Cuán inescrutables son sus juicios, y los caminos de él más allá de descubrir! Porque ¿quién ha conocido la mente del Señor? ¿O quién ha sido su consejero? ¿O quién le dio a él primero, para que le sea recompensado? Porque de él, a través de él, y a él, son todas las cosas. A él sea la gloria en las edades. Amén”.

Romanos 11:26-27: “Y así todo Israel serán salvados; como está escrito, ‘El Salvador saldrá de Sión y apartará la impiedad de Jacob: porque éste es mi Pacto con ellos, cuando quitaré sus pecados’”.

Comentarios: Ahora hay muchas iglesias calvinistas (o reformadas) que enseñan que Dios ha abandonado permanentemente a Israel y ha reemplazado a Israel con “la iglesia”: esto se llama “Teología del reemplazo”.

¡Está herejía se originó con el catolicismo romano y el papado pagano! ¡No es cristiano y no es bíblico!

La religión católica romana, y también la ortodoxa rusa y griega, ha perseguido a los judíos durante siglos con malvados pogromos: destruyendo sus hogares, asesinándolos y provocando que los judíos sean esparcidos por todo el mundo.

Los judíos son el pueblo escogido de Jehová Dios. Sin embargo, los judíos individuales deben arrepentirse y creer en Jesucristo como su Salvador y Mesías o irán al infierno, como todos los pecadores.

Romans 10:1-4: “Hermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios por Israel, es que ellos puedan ser salvados: porque yo les doy testimonio de que tienen celo de Dios, pero no conforme al conocimiento: porque ellos, siendo ignorando de la justicia de Dios, y procurando establecer su propia justicia, no se han sometido mismos a la justicia de Dios: porque Cristo es el cumplimiento de la Ley para justicia para todo aquel que en él cree”.

¡Pero Dios no ha abandonado a la nación de Israel como su pueblo! Dios tiene muchas grandes cosas planeadas para los judíos, incluidas las siguientes:

1) Durante el Reino Milenario de Cristo (después del Retorno de Cristo), los judíos gobernarán el mundo, junto con los Apóstoles de Jesús, bajo Jesucristo como Rey de Israel, quien gobernará el Universo desde el trono de David en Jerusalén:

Jesús dijo a los Apóstoles, “Ustedes son los que han seguido conmigo en mis pruebas. Y designo a ustedes un Reino, como mi Padre me ha designado, para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi reino, y sentaros en tronos, juzgando a las doce tribus de Israel”. Lucas 22:28-30

Jehová habló de Israel: “Levántate, resplandece; que ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti: porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad los pueblos; pero sobre ti amanecerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria. Y andarán los gentiles a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu nacimiento. Alza tus ojos en derredor, y mira; todos éstos se han juntado, vinieron a ti; tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas junto a ti serán criadas”. Isaías 60:1-4

2) Los gentiles traerán sus riquezas a Israel, porque será la nación más poderosa de la Tierra:

“Y los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán: porque en mi ira te herí, pero en mi buena voluntad te tuve misericordia. Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas, no se cerrarán de día ni de noche, para que sean traídas a ti las riquezas de los gentiles, y conducidos a ti sus reyes: porque la nación o el reino que no te sirviere, perecerá; y esas naciones del todo serán asoladas. La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, abetos, pinos y cedros juntamente, para decorar el lugar de mi Santuario; y yo honraré el lugar de mis pies. Y vendrán a ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y se postrarán a las plantas de tus pies todos los que te escarnecían, y te llamarán ‘Ciudad de Jehová’, ‘Sión del Santo de Israel’. Aunque fuiste abandonada y aborrecida, tanto que nadie por ti pasaba, yo haré de ti gloria perpetua, gozo de generación y generación. Y mamarás la leche de los gentiles, el pecho de los reyes mamarás; y conocerás que yo Jehová soy tu Salvador, y tu Redentor, el Fuerte de Jacob. En vez de bronce traeré oro, y por hierro plata, y por madera bronce, y en lugar de piedras hierro. Y pondré paz por tu tributo, y justicia por tus exactores”. Isaías 60:10-17

3) Jehová Dios bendecirá a Israel sin medida:

Isaías 61:4-9: ““Y reedificarán los desiertos antiguos, y levantarán los asolamientos primeros, y restaurarán las ciudades arruinadas, los asolamientos de muchas generaciones. Los extranjeros se levantarán y apacentarán vuestras ovejas, y los hijos de los extranjeros serán vuestros labradores y vuestros viñadores. Y ustedes seréis llamados sacerdotes de Jehová, ministros del Dios nuestro seréis llamados; comeréis la riqueza de los gentiles, y con su gloria seréis exaltados. En lugar de vuestra doble confusión, y de vuestra deshonra, os alabarán en sus heredades; por lo cual en sus tierras poseerán el doble, y tendrán perpetuo gozo: porque yo Jehová amo el derecho, y aborrezco el latrocinio para holocausto; por tanto, afirmaré en verdad su obra, y haré con ellos un Pacto eterno. Y la simiente de ellos será conocida entre los gentiles, y sus renuevos en medio de los pueblos; todos los que los vieren, reconocerán, que son simiente que Jehová ha bendecido”.

4) Dios mismo habitará con Israel en Tierra Santa en Jerusalén:

Ezequiel 43:1-5: “Luego me llevó a la puerta, a la puerta que mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí la gloria del Dios de Israel, que venía del oriente; y su voz era como el sonido de muchas aguas, y la tierra resplandecía a causa de su gloria. Y el aspecto de la visión que vi era como aquella visión que vi cuando vine para destruir la ciudad; y las visiones eran como la visión que vi junto al río de Quebar; y caí sobre mi rostro. Y la gloria de Jehová entró en la Casa por la vía de la puerta que daba hacia el oriente. Y me alzó el Espíritu, y me metió en el atrio de adentro; y he aquí que la gloria de Jehová llenó la Casa”.

Ezequiel 48:35b: “Y el nombre de la ciudad desde aquel día será ‘JEHOVÁ ESTÁ ALLÍ”.

¡Dios no pronunció estas palabras en vano! ¡Dios quiso decir exactamente lo que dijo, y dijo lo que quiso decir! Amén.

Falsas Siones desde Satanás

¡Este futuro Reino de Cristo es la Sión de Dios! Esta es también la razón por la que Satanás creó varias versiones fraudulentas de Sión:

1) El Islam fue creado por Mahoma con la ayuda de un ángel caído (un demonio, un siervo de Satanás) que le habló. El Islam afirma que su versión de Sión tiene su centro en Arabia; e incluye todas las tierras que fueron conquistadas por ejércitos musulmanes en el pasado. El Islam es una religión militante que desea conquistar toda la Tierra. El Islam niega que Dios tenga un Hijo y que Jesús nunca murió en la cruz, lo que lo convierte en una religión del Anticristo que condena a cada alma que la sigue al Infierno:

1 Juan 2:22-23: "¿Quién es el mentiroso, si no él que niegue que Jesús es el Cristo? Éste es Anticristo, el que niega la igualdad del Padre y del Hijo. Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, él no tiene al Padre; sino él que confiesa al Hijo también tiene al Padre".

2) El mormonismo fue creado por José Smith con la ayuda de otro ángel caído (un demonio, un siervo de Satanás) que le habló. Los seguidores de José Smith establecieron otra versión de Sión en Utah, Estados Unidos. Esta religión tiene sólo un vago parecido con el cristianismo bíblico, con algunos nombres similares, pero significados completamente diferentes. Por ejemplo, afirman que Adán se convirtió en Dios Padre, que Jesús y Satanás son hermanos espirituales, que nosotros también podemos convertirnos en dioses tal como lo hizo Adán; etcétera. Es una religión pagana que fue creada por Satanás para engañar y condenar a más almas al infierno.

Tenga cuidado con estas dos religiones en particular; pero también hay otras sectas que reivindican cosas similares, aunque de menor tamaño. La Palabra de Dios nos advierte sobre "ángeles" que traen nuevas doctrinas que contradicen las enseñanzas inspiradas de los Apóstoles de Jesucristo (Pablo, Pedro, Juan, Judas):

Gálatas 1:6-9: "Yo maravillo de que ustedes se quitaron tan rápidamente desde él quien os llamó a la gracia de Cristo hacia un evangelio diferente; cual es un falso evangelio; pero hay algunos que os molestan; y quieren pervertir el verdadero Evangelio de Cristo. Pero aunque nosotros, o incluso un ángel del Cielo, os predicamos un evangelio diferente desde lo que ya os hemos predicado, déjale ser anatema. Como dijimos antes, así ahora vuelvo a decir: si algún hombre os predica un evangelio diferente desde lo que ya habéis recibido de nosotros, déjale ser anatema".

Conclusión

¡La nación de Israel tiene un futuro glorioso y Dios nunca los abandonará!

Jeremías 33:19-26: “Y vino Palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo, “Así dice Jehová: ‘Si podéis quebrantar mi Pacto del día, y mi Pacto de la noche, y que no debería haber día y noche en su temporada, entonces también puede ser roto mi Pacto con David mi siervo que él no debería tener un hijo para reinar en su trono; y con los levitas los sacerdotes, mis ministros. Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena del mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la simiente de David mi siervo, y los levitas que a mí ministran’”.

Y vino Palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo, “¿No has considerado lo que habla este pueblo, diciendo, ‘Las dos familias que Jehová escogió, las ha desechado?’. De esta manera han despreciado a mi gente, hasta no tenerlos más por nación’. Así dice Jehová, ‘Si mi pacto no es con el día y la noche, y si no he puesto las leyes del cielo y de la tierra, entonces también desecharé la simiente de Jacob, y de David mi siervo, para que yo no tome ninguno de su descendencia para que sea gobernantes sobre la simiente de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob: porque causaré su cautiverio vuelva y tendré misericordia de ellos’”.

Zacarías 2:8-9: “Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos, ‘Después de la gloria él me ha enviado a las naciones que os despojaron: porque el que os toca, toca a la manzana de su ojo: porque he aquí yo alzo mi mano sobre ellos, y serán despojo a sus siervos, y sabréis que Jehová de los ejércitos me ha enviado’”.

Zacarías 2:10-12: “‘Canta y alégrate, hija de Sión: porque he aquí vengo, y moraré en medio de ti,’ dice Jehová. ‘Y muchas naciones se unirán a Jehová en aquel día, y serán mi pueblo. Y moraré en medio de ti; y entonces conocerás que Jehová de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti. Y Jehová poseerá a Judá su heredad en la tierra santa, y escogerá aún a Jerusalén”.

Jeremías 51:5: “Porque Israel no ha sido desamparado, ni Judá de su Dios, por Jehová de los ejércitos, aunque su tierra estaba llena de pecado contra el Santo de Israel”.

¡La teología del reemplazo es una doctrina que vino del diablo y no de Dios! Amén. Todas las “iglesias principales” (católica romana, ambas religiones ortodoxas, la mayoría de las iglesias protestantes y muchas iglesias bautistas “reformadas”) creen que Dios ha abandonado permanentemente a Israel y que ellas han reemplazado a Israel; pero la verdad es que estas iglesias son apóstatas, y un día, Dios las destruirá y restaurará a Israel a su favor y bendición cuando Cristo regrese como su Mesías. Esta es la enseñanza de la Biblia.

Las iglesias que enseñan el punto de vista bíblico incluyen a los bautistas que son independientes, fundamentales, creyentes en la Biblia, dispensacionales (NO reformados); y algunos otros, como los Hermanos de Plymouth y las iglesias bíblicas.

Los que bendicen a Israel serán bendecidos por Dios, y los que maldicen a Israel serán maldecidos por Dios, Amén.

Génesis 12:3: Jehová dijo: “Y bendeciré a los que te bendigan, y maldeciré a los que te maldigan. Y en ti serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra”.

Como ser salvado!

¿Qué pasa contigo? ¿Ha sido nacido de nuevo?

Juan 3:5-6: “Respondió Jesús, ‘Verdaderamente, verdaderamente, te digo, que a menos que nazca un hombre de agua y también del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el Reino de Dios; lo que es nacido de la carne, es carne, y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, es espíritu’”.

Si crees que irás al Cielo o que eres salvado debido a uno de los siguientes:

“He sido bautizado”, “He sido cristiano toda mi vida”, “Soy una buena persona”, “No he robado ningún banco”, “Soy tan bueno como cualquiera”, “Mantengo el Diez Mandamientos”, “Mi papá es diácono o pastor”, “Rezo a María y a todos los santos”, “Hago muchas buenas obras”, “Soy un buen católico/ musulmán /hindú /budista /sintoísta/ Testigo de Jehová/ Mormón /Bautista /Metodista /Anglicano /Pentecostal”, “He hablado en lenguas”,

entonces ciertamente irás al infierno, porque hay muchos caminos falsos a Dios, pero sólo ¡UNA MANERA de ser salvado!

Juan 14:6: “Jesús le dijo, ‘Soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí’”.

Mateo 7:21-23: “No todo el que me dice, ‘Señor, Señor’, entrará en el Reino del Cielo; sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre quien está en el Cielo. Muchos me dirán en aquel día, diciendo: ‘Señor, Señor, ¿no hemos profetizado en tu Nombre? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos echado fuera demonios? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos hecho muchas obras maravillosas?’. Y entonces yo profesaré a ellos, ‘Nunca os conocí; apartaos de mí, obradores de maldad’”.

La Biblia dice,

“que si confesarás con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creerás en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, tú serás salvado: porque con el corazón, el hombre cree para justicia, y con la boca, la confesión se hace para la salvación: porque la Escritura dice, “cualquiera que en él creyere, no será avergonzado”. Porque no hay diferencia entre el judio y el gentil: porque el mismo Señor sobre todo es rico a todos los que le invocan: porque está escrito, “Cualquiera que llamará sobre el Nombre del Señor será salvado”. Romanos 10:9-13

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra USTED. ¡No soy bueno y usted eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”
