Introduction
Comments: For the last two Bible studies, we have been studying why speaking in tongues today is not biblical. In this final study of the series, we will look at the differences between a charismatic, pentecostal,
or community church, and a Bible-believing, Independent Baptist church. Next study, we will return to the Letter to the Romans where we left off in Chapter 2.3 in the Golden Ratio design.

Most of you have never had formal training in Bible college; and even of those who have, many Bible colleges will not teach the material that I will share with you today, unless it is a Fundamental, Bible-believing
school. Many Bible colleges will not teach it, because they are compromised and not loyal to the Word of God; or perhaps they just don’t understand the Bible at all. Whatever the reason, this material is important,
because it will give you spiritual discernment.
There is a reason for everything; and especially when we try to understand why certain churches do what they do, and say what they say. These things all depend on their approach to the Bible.
1) Do they believe that it is the Word of God without error in the original writings?
2) Do they believe that the human authors of the Bible were infallibly inspired by God when they wrote the words of the Bible?
3) Do they believe that God has preserved his Word through the centuries to the present day in the Received Text of the Bible (Hebrew and Greek)?
If the answer to the first two of those questions is “no”, then the church is a liberal church that has no limits on what it believes that it can say about God, humanity, sin, the Bible, the return of Christ
or anything else. It has no boundaries! And that will always lead to sin and heresy. Most Protestant churches and the Catholic religion is in this category.
If the answer to the first two is “yes”, but the answer to the third question is “no”, then the church is conservative, but it is on the road to becoming a liberal church, and doesn’t know it, because they
have accepted the false teaching that we do not have the Word of God today; and what we have (the Aleph and B critical texts) is filled with errors and omissions. Unfortunately, many churches that profess to be
Fundamental Baptist, but are not, fit in this category.
If the answer to all three of those questions is “yes”, then it is a Bible-believing church. This kind of church is limited by “thus says the Lord”: in other words, what the Bible says. Their authority is
the Bible itself, and nothing more.
In this study, I want to show you the differences between the various types of churches that profess to be Christian, so that you will be able to understand why they do what they do, and why they say what
they say.
The following list begins with the church type that is most loyal to the Bible as the Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. The Apostles and the early churches were also
loyal to the Bible as the Word of God; so these churches are the spiritual descendants of the teachings of the Apostles of Jesus Christ.
The last group is complete paganism.
The range of different types of religion from Bible Christians to pagans
1) The Bible believing church (independent Baptist, Fundamental, or “Bible church”)
Matthew 28:18-20: “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority was given to me in Heaven and upon earth. Therefore go, and train disciples out of all nations; baptizing them in the Name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you.”
John 5:39: Jesus said, “Search the Scriptures! For in them you think you have Eternal Life; and they are they which testify of me.”
Acts 17:10-12: “And the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea; who coming there went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the Word with all readiness of mind; and they searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether those things were true. Therefore many of them believed in Christ; also of honorable women who were Greeks; and
of men, not a few.”
Luke 8:19-21: “Then his mother and his brothers came to him; but they could not come near him for the crowd. And it was told him, saying, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, asking to see you.”
And he answered and said to them, “My mother and my brothers are these which hear the Word of God, and do it.”
The major difference between a Bible believing church and all other churches is their approach to the Bible. They would answer the three questions as yes, yes, and yes!
The Fundamental Baptist church holds the Holy Bible in very high esteem! It is preached as the Final Authority for all matters of faith and practice. If something not clearly taught in the Bible, then it
may be of God, but we don’t know that; and therefore, we will not claim that it is from God. This quality distinguishes this kind of church from every other kind of church! Everything must be measured against what
the Bible says.
Psalm 119:104-105: “Through your Precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.”
The preaching of a Biblical church will be all about the Bible: line upon line, precept upon precept: teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever Jesus has commanded us. And the fruit of this Bible teaching
will be personal holiness and a desire to follow Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:6-10: “And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you were examples to all that believe in Macedonia
and Achaia. For the Word of the Lord sounded out from you: not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad, so that we do not need to speak anything. For they themselves
show of us what manner of entering in we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the Living and true God; and to wait for his Son from Heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered
us from the wrath to come.”
Their music will also be gentle and spiritually edifying: to focus the attention of the believer on Christ and the Bible. Typically, the only musical instruments in these kind of churches will be pianos,
organs, acoustic guitars, and possibly instruments found in orchestras or high school bands: e.g. trumpets, clarinets, etc; but not electric guitars and rock music with loud drums.
James 3:13-18: “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show from his good conduct, his works done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts,
do not boast or lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is EARTHLY, SENSUAL, AND DEMONIC: for where there is envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom
that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without prejudice, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by them
that make peace.”
Ephesians 5:18-21: “And be not drunk with wine (in which is excess), but be continually filled with the Spirit: speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in
your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
This kind of church will be focused on evangelism and soul winning, supporting missions and church planting. The pastor is a godly man who is not perfect, but he tries to set the example for his flock in
everything that he says and does. Women pastors or evangelists are not accepted by these churches, because they are forbidden by the Word of God:
I Corinthians 14:34-37: “Let your women keep silence in the Assemblies: for it is not permitted to them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as the Law also says. And if they will learn
anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the Assembly. What? Did the Word of God come out from you? Or did it come only to you? If any man thinks himself to be a prophet,
or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write to you are the Commandments of the Lord.”
I Timothy 3:1-2: “This is a true saying: if a man aspires to the office of an Overseer [pastor], he desires a good work. An Overseer then must be blameless, a husband of only one wife...”
Titus 1:5-6: “For this reason, I left you in Crete: that you should set in order the things that are lacking; and ordain elders in every city, as I directed you: if any are blameless, the husband of only
one wife, and having faithful children not accused of riot or rebelliousness.”
1 Timothy 2:11-14: “Let the woman learn in silence with all submission. But I do not allow a woman to teach men, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence: for Adam was first formed, then
Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”
These kind of churches (in the USA) typically use only the King James version of the Bible (but not always); and they identify themselves as “Fundamental”, “Independent”, and “Baptist”. These terms were used
during the last 130 years in the USA to distinguish Bible-believing churches from those who had moved away from the Bible to become #2 - #4 below in the list. See the End Notes.
Finally, a Bible believing church believes in all of the historic doctrines of the Christian Faith: the Trinity of God, Salvation by grace through faith alone in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross,
Baptism by immersion for believers only, and more.
2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is God-breathed; and is beneficial for doctrine, for rebuke, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be complete, and thoroughly equipped
for all good work.”
1 Timothy 3:14-16: “I write these things to you, hoping to come to you shortly; but if I delay long, that you may know how you should behave yourself in the House of God; which is the Assembly of the Living
God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on
in the world, and carried up to Heaven in glory.”
There is a range of beliefs and practices within this group. A church sign that says the right things does not guarantee that the church or the pastor actually is what they claim to be. Seek the will of God
first before joining any church.
The number of these churches in the world are very few by comparison with the number of all churches that profess to be Christian! This should not be a surprise.
2) The community type of church (New Evangelical, Interdenominational)
The community or interdenominational church (“Evangelical”) claims to be like the Fundamental Baptist church in beliefs; however, they are not the same at all. They would answer the three questions as yes,
yes, and no.
Many “community churches” are not better than a charismatic church. They try to be as unoffensive as possible and to fit into the culture, rather than being a purifying influence on their community. They
claim to believe the Bible, but they refuse to follow it faithfully.
This type of church uses unbiblical methods to bring people into their churches; they copy the old tactic of the Roman Catholic religion, which is to bring as many people into their church as possible, with
little concern for whether they are truly born again or not.
The pastor: “Joe Schmo has come forward to join our church. He says he is saved. All in favor say ‘yes’; all who are opposed, say ‘no’, of course there are none. Welcome to our church!"
This method is successful in growing the church membership, but it also fills the church with people who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ! And that is a recipe for spiritual corruption and sin in the church.
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1: “Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has Christ
with Belial? Or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the Temple of God with idols? For all of you are a Temple of the Living God; as God has said, ‘I will dwell in them, and walk
in them; and I will be their God; and they shall be my people.’ ‘Therefore come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord; ‘and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father
to you; and you shall be my sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.’ Therefore having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit; perfecting holiness
in the fear of God.”
Community churches in general welcome all kinds of worldly music, similar to the charismatics; however, not necessarily all. Some are worse than others.
Women pastors and/or deacons are common in this type of church, against the Word of God.
Some community churches accept infant baptism instead of Biblical baptism: “We don’t want to offend anyone!” Against the Word of God.
Many community churches water down the Gospel: “We don’t want to offend anyone!” Against the Word of God.
One community type church in particular is pastored by Joel Osteen, one of the most famous false prophets in the world. Osteen professes to believe the Bible; but his teachings are Pentecostal, with the “health
and wealth” false gospel. Many community churches are similar to Charismatic or Pentecostal groups.
In general: they try to appeal to everyone, they minimize talk about sin, they accept worldly and ungodly music, they soften the Gospel and only talk about the love of God rather than repentance: Against
the Word of God.
God cannot bless this kind of church, because although community churches are often wealthy and filled with people, they do not know that they are actually poor and blind and naked in the sight of God!
Revelation 3:14-19: “And to the messenger of the Assembly of the Laodiceans write: ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, and the Beginning of the Creation of God: ‘I know your works,
that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot; so then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of my mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich and increased
with goods; and have need of nothing’, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked; therefore I counsel you to buy of me gold tested in the fire, that you may be rich; and white
garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous, and
repent.’’”
There is a wide range of beliefs and practices within this group from fairly conservative to false prophets (Joel Osteen). They all claim to believe the Bible and to believe in Jesus Christ as Savior. But
their loyalty to the Word of God, on average, is very weak.
Most churches that profess to believe the Bible are community-type churches or Charismatic or Pentecostal. Many of these were previously Fundamental Baptist; but have since fallen away from their previous
loyalty to the Bible.
3) The Charismatic and Pentecostal type of church
They would answer the three questions, most likely, as yes, yes, and no. However, for a Charismatic, the Bible did not stop with the Apostles! It continues today, every time someone stands up in church and
says, "Thus saith the Lord:"! In other words, for these churches, God has not stopped making new Scripture; so the Bible, for them, is not final! They can change the Bible anytime they want by claiming that the
Lord told them something different.
The preaching of an charismatic or pentecostal church is all about having an EXPERIENCE: rock, jazz, soul, or rap music with a heavy beat; ungodly dancing, “holy laughter”, speaking in gibberish, slaying
in the spirit, smoke and mirrors, disco lights. So the church makes the members feel good while they are going to Hell, because they don’t preach the Gospel: it is all about the FLESH and SELF, not about the Lord
Jesus Christ and the Word of God!
James 3:15-16: “This wisdom does not descend from above, but is EARTHLY, SENSUAL, AND DEMONIC: for where there is envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work.”
This kind of church will rarely, if ever, talk about the sins of the people and why they should immediately repent and get right with the Lord! They will talk about how great YOU are (e.g. the false prophet
Joel Osteen), and very little about the greatness of God and his Judgment to come.
Any “gospel” that is preached in one of these churches is usually about getting baptized, joining the church, and speaking in tongues. Rarely will you ever hear the true Gospel of repentance and faith in
the Finished Work of Christ on the cross. These churches are filled with people who are mostly lost and do not know the Lord as their Savior.
Any church with rock, rap, or soul music, disco lights, and all these things should be avoided like the plague by anyone who wants to follow the Lord Jesus Christ!
When the focus of a church is on the flesh, and not on Jesus Christ and his Word, the fruit of that church will always be the FLESH:
Galatians 5:19-21: “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, evil desires, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions,
heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, partying, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they who practice such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.”
Galatians 6:7-8: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap: for he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit
shall of the Spirit reap Life Everlasting.”
This kind of church may talk about evangelism, but what they really do is seek Baptists to “speak in tongues” and convert them to be a Charismatic. Bringing sinners to Jesus is rare or non-existent in these
churches. The pastor is often a woman (against the Word of God).
They are greatly in error on the method of salvation. Many are not saved, but they have “spoken in tongues [gibberish]”, so they believe that they are saved. You will find very little sound Bible teaching
in these type of churches, even the most conservative.
Their loyalty to the Word of God is extremely weak; they trust in their experiences of speaking in “tongues”, “healing”, and supposed miracles more than the Word of God.
4) Protestants
Most protestants (e.g. Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans) no longer protest against Catholicism; and they have been moving back toward Roman Catholicism for decades, at least since the 1960s or earlier.
Most of them would answer the three questions as no, no, and no (but there are still a few exceptions). As their churches continue to backslide into Sodom and Gomorrah, they will change their statement of
faith as needed to fit their situation.
Most protestant groups are very liberal; many of them promote homosexuality and many allow homosexuals and women to serve as pastors. Almost all of them departed from the Bible many decades ago.
The baptism of infants caused these churches and pulpits to become filled with lost souls who trusted in water to save them from their sins; but water cannot wash away sins! Only the precious Blood of Jesus
Christ on the cross can do that! Amen. So, when a church is filled with lost people, it is inevitable that the church will depart from the Bible; and that is exactly what has happened since the Reformation.
There are a few exceptions: Fundamental Methodists, Fundamental Presbyterians (e.g. Ian Paisley of Northern Ireland); but sadly, these are very few. There are also individual churches within the apostate
denominations that continue to stand for the Bible (although not like group #1). They should leave their denomination and follow the Lord Jesus fully, but they don't.
5) The cult of Roman Catholicism and other cults
Roman Catholicism is not Christian; it is a pagan religion disguised as Christianity. It has no limits on what it can say about any subject whatsoever, because the pope is supposedly infallible when he speaks
from “the chair of Saint Peter”, which is one of many lies that have been told by this false religion.
According to the popes, the Bible is only the Word of God if the Pope agrees. Since the fourth century, the popes have taught many doctrines as “dogma” (the pope said it, so it is true), even though the Bible
doesn’t agree. So Catholicism is beyond liberal: it is blasphemous; and it is at war with God and the Bible!
It is called “The Whore of Babylon” in Revelation for a very good reason: because it is a religious whore (Revelation 17); and it has the blood of millions of Christian martyrs on its hands; and God will
judge it one day (Revelation 18).
Roman Catholicism is a cult with a man at the top (the pope) with all authority and all power. It is the largest cult in the world (#6); and it also incorporates many aspects of pagan religions (#7) with
idols, and a “queen of Heaven” which is exactly like the Babylonian Semiramis, who was the first woman goddess in history. Many goddesses in paganism copied Semiramis, such as Diana, Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis,
and many more. These pagan goddesses were whores; and Revelation 17 identifies the Whore of Babylon as a city that sits on 7 hills, which is the city of Rome.
Revelation 17:9: “And here is the mind that has wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.”
Revelation 17:18: “And the woman that you saw is that great city of Rome, which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
The popes, cardinals, bishops, and priests supposedly have the power to forgive your sins, which is impossible, because a sinner can only forgive the sins against himself, not sins against God.
While Catholicism claims to believe in the Trinity of God, the truth is that they have at least two gods in Heaven: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, plus the Queen of Heaven (Mary), who is a goddess that
is equal with Jesus, because, like God, she can hear the prayers of Catholics (supposedly); and Jesus respects her so much that if she asks Him to do something, He will do it. All of the saints in Heaven are also
“gods”, because Catholics pray to them too; so in Catholicism, Heaven is filled with many gods, which makes it a pagan religion: not Christianity.
This, of course, is a complete LIE, because God will not give his glory to another; and Mary is NOT the “queen of Heaven”! This false teaching comes from Babylonian paganism, and is not taught in the Bible
at all. Therefore, Catholicism is a pagan cult and is not truly Trinitarian at all. Mary is certainly in Heaven, but there is not a single text in the Bible that supports the lie that Christians should pray to
Mary or that she is the “queen of Heaven”; or that Christians should pray to the saints.
The following groups are classified as cults, because they claim to be Christian, but they reject the Trinity of God, and faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the cross (his crucifixion, burial,
and resurrection) as the only way of Salvation.
1) Jehovah’s Witnesses
2) Mormons
3) Worldwide Church of God
4) David Koresh cult
5) Daddy Grace; and thousands of other small cult groups around the world
Catholicism is the largest cult in the world and originated in the 4th century; these others are also large, but are of recent origin.
Some groups within #3 and #4 above also reject the core doctrines of Christianity. For example, some Charismatic and pentecostal groups believe in “Jesus only”; and many claim that the Holy Spirit is only
a force and is not God. So the further away from the Bible, the easier it becomes to fall into doctrinal errors.
6) Pagan religions
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Shintoism, Taoism, Bahaism, Zoroastrianism, Satanism, Wicca, Santeria, and others.
All of these religions believe in multiple gods/goddesses; or they claim that God and nature are the same (Pantheism); or that God and evil are equal (Yin and Yang); or (Islam) they believe in only one God
with a name different than the one true God of the Bible (one God in three Persons), which is Jehovah Elohim: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So in reality, Muslims are worshiping the devil and do not know it!
They all deny that Jesus is God Almighty and they deny the Trinity of God and the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Reincarnation, man becomes (or can become) a god after death etc.
There is a wide range of different beliefs; but they all disagree with the words of Jesus, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, but by me” John 14:6.
Conclusion
Friends, there are no churches that are perfect, because there are no people that are perfect! Amen. However, we must always be seeking to correct our mistakes and move closer to the Lord Jesus Christ and
his Word in the Bible, as God gives us grace to do so.
Unfortunately, once a church leaves group #1, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to return to the Word of God fully; they tend to continue on a downward path toward Sodom until no one attends the
church anymore, and it becomes a social club or a muslim mosque. The only way to stop that trend is to start a church from scratch or join the right kind of church: break away from all previous connections and
start over.
And if you are a born again Christian, and a member of any of the groups from #2 to #6, you must make a clean break with your past and find a Fundamental, Independent, Baptist church. Take your stand with
the Lord Jesus Christ and his Word!
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1: "Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has Christ

the Lord Almighty.”
Therefore having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit; perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
Revelation 18:4-5: "And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues: for her sins have reached
unto Heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities."
How to be saved!
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was born of a virgin; He lived a sinless life, and He gave his life on the cross to atone for all of our sins, and He rose again from the dead on the third day.
The Bible says that if we believe these things, we can be saved, if we repent of our sins and receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior:
Romans 10:8-13: “But what does it say? “The Word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart”; that is to say, the Word of faith (which we preach), that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved: for with the heart, man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made into salvation: for
the Scripture says, “Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him: for it is written,
“whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you are ready to be saved, then you can use the following prayer to repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose
again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I
pray, Amen!”

American Christianity was relatively conservative from the colonial period up until the late 1800s. This was when the theory of evolution and influence of the Aleph and B manuscripts began to corrode and
corrupt the seminaries in the United States, as well as the corrupt seed of liberalism that was being spread from German Lutheran seminaries through American Bible students who got their doctorate degrees
there. They returned to America and began teaching that the Bible was not the Word of God and many other heresies.
Fundamentalism in the late 1800s in the USA was an attempt by conservative Baptists and Protestants to unite together in the face of all these corrosive liberal influences, and proclaim that there were
several "Fundamentals" of the Christian Faith that were held in common between them.
At first, the "Fundamentalists" within the various Protestant denominations (and other groups such as the Southern and Northern Baptists) stayed within their denominations; and they tried to save their
denominations from the growing trends toward modernism and unbelief in the Bible.
However, this did not work; and finally, most of them felt compelled to separate from their apostate denominations and start new religious affiliations and church groups. Over time, even these groups
suffered from the influence of modernism and unbelief; and they had splits of their own; and this process has continued to this day, especially with the Protestant denominations.
In addition to the corrosive influence of the theory of evolution, the Aleph and B manuscripts, and the teachings of modernism, the Charismatic movement began teaching that the Bible was not final, and
that God was still speaking new revelation through "prophets" and "apostles". This opened the door to huge demonic influence among many churches; and this led to more splits, and more apostacy as formerly
Fundamental churches became "Evangelical"; and then Charismatic; or they became thoroughly liberal. So these are the reasons for changes in American Christianity over the last 130 years.
God has allowed Satan to corrupt and destroy many churches as part of the fulfillment of prophecies of the End Times.
2 Timothy 3:1-7: "This know also, that in the Last Days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, without family affection, irreconcilable, false accusers, without self-control, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, reckless, conceited, and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God
(having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from such turn away). For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women filled with sins, led away with diverse lusts; always
learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth."
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4: "Now we urge you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together to him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled; neither by evil
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the Day of Christ is near. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that Day shall not come, unless a falling away comes first;

La mayoría de ustedes nunca han tenido formación formal en un instituto bíblico; e incluso de aquellos que lo han hecho, muchos colegios bíblicos no enseñarán el material que compartiré con ustedes hoy, a
menos que sea una escuela fundamentalista que cree a la Biblia. Muchas universidades bíblicas no la enseñan porque ellos están comprometidos y no son leales a la Palabra de Dios; o tal vez simplemente no entiendan

1) ¿Creen que es la Palabra de Dios sin error en los escritos originales?

Si la respuesta a las dos primeras preguntas es “no”, entonces la iglesia es una iglesia liberal que no tiene límites en lo que cree que puede decir sobre Dios, la humanidad, el pecado, la Biblia, el regreso
de Cristo o cualquier otra cosa. ¡No tiene límites! Y eso siempre conducirá al pecado y a la herejía. La mayoría de las iglesias protestantes y la religión católica están en esta categoría.
Si la respuesta a las dos primeras es “sí”, pero la respuesta a la tercera pregunta es “no”, entonces la iglesia es conservadora, pero está en camino de convertirse en una iglesia liberal, y no lo sabe, porque
ha aceptado la falsa enseñanza de que hoy no tenemos la Palabra de Dios; y lo que tenemos (los textos críticos Aleph y B) está lleno de errores y omisiones. Desafortunadamente, muchas iglesias que profesan ser
Bautistas Fundamentales, pero no lo son, encajan en esta categoría.
Si la respuesta a las tres preguntas es “sí”, entonces es una iglesia que cree a la Biblia. Este tipo de iglesia está limitado por “así dice el Señor”: en otras palabras, lo que dice la Biblia.Su autoridad
es la Biblia misma y nada más. Este tipo de iglesias normalmente utilizan sólo la versión King James de la Biblia; y se identifican como “Fundamental”, “Independiente” y “Bautista”.
En este estudio, quiero mostrarles las diferencias entre los diversos tipos de iglesias que profesan ser cristianas, para que puedas entender por qué hacen lo que hacen y por qué dicen lo que dicen.
La siguiente lista comienza con el tipo de iglesia que es más leal a la Biblia como Palabra de Dios y autoridad final para todos los asuntos de fe y práctica. Los Apóstoles y las iglesias primitivas también
fueron leales a la Biblia como Palabra de Dios; entonces estas iglesias son descendientes espirituales de las enseñanzas de los Apóstoles de Jesucristo.
El último grupo es el paganismo completo.
La gama de diferentes tipos de religión, desde cristianos bíblicos hasta paganos.
1) La iglesia creyente en la Biblia (Bautista independiente, Fundamental)
Mateo 28:18-20: “Y Jesús vino y les habló, diciendo, “Toda autoridad me ha sido dado en el Cielo y sobre la tierra. Por tanto, id y entrenad discípulos fuera de todas las naciones, bautizándoles en el Nombre
del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo; enseñándoles observar todas las cosas, cualquier cosa que os he mandado”.
Juan 5:39: Jesús dijo, “Escudriñad las Escrituras: porque en ellos, creéis que tenéis Vida Eterna; y ellas son las que dan testimonio de mí”.
Hechos 17:10-12: “Y los hermanos inmediatamente enviaron a Pablo ya Silas de noche a Berea; quienes, llegando allí, entró en la sinagoga de los judíos. Estos eran más nobles que los de Tesalónica, porque
recibieron la Palabra con toda disposición de la mente; y escudriñaban las Escrituras todos los días, para ver si esas cosas eran verdad. Por lo tanto, creyeron muchos de ellos en Cristo; también de mujeres distinguidas
que eran griegas, y de los hombres, no pocos”.
Lucas 8:19-21: “Entonces su madre y sus hermanos vinieron a él; pero no podían acercarse a él para la multitud. Y se le dijo, “Tu madre y tus hermanos están parados afuera, pidiendo verte”. Y él respondió
y les dijo, “Mi madre y mis hermanos son estos quien oyen la Palabra de Dios y lo hacen”.
La principal diferencia entre una iglesia que cree a la Biblia y todas las demás iglesias es su enfoque a la Biblia. ¡Responderían las tres preguntas como sí, sí y sí!
¡La Iglesia Bautista Fundamental tiene en muy alta estima la Santa Biblia! Se predica como la Autoridad Final para todos los asuntos de fe y práctica. Si algo no se enseña claramente en la Biblia, entonces
puede ser de Dios, pero no lo sabemos; y por lo tanto, no afirmaremos que sea de Dios. ¡Esta cualidad distingue a este tipo de iglesia de cualquier otro tipo de iglesia! Todo debe medirse con lo que dice la Biblia.
Salmo 119:104-105: “A través de tus Preceptos obtengo comprensión; por tanto, aborrezco todo camino de mentira. Tu Palabra es lámpara a mis pies y luz a mi camino.”
La predicación de una iglesia bíblica se centrará exclusivamente en la Biblia: línea sobre línea, precepto sobre precepto: enseñándoles a observar todas las cosas, todo lo que Jesús nos ha mandado. Y el fruto
de esta enseñanza bíblica será la santidad personal y el deseo de seguir a Jesucristo.
1 Tesalonicenses 1:6-10: “Y ustedes se hicieron seguidores de nosotros y del Señor, habiendo recibido la Palabra en mucha tribulación, con gozo del Espíritu Santo; para que erais ejemplos a todos los que
creen en Macedonia y Acaya. Porque la Palabra del Señor propagó fuera desde ustedes: no sólo en Macedonia y Acaya, sino también en todo lugar vuestra fe hacia Dios se esparce en el extranjero, para que no tengamos
que decir nada. Porque ellos mismos cuentan de nosotros qué clase de entrada tuvimos con ustedes; y cómo os volvisteis a Dios desde los ídolos para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero; y esperar para su Hijo desde
el Cielo, quien resucitó de entre los muertos; incluso Jesús, quien nos libró desde la ira venidera”.
Su música también será suave y espiritualmente edificante: para centrar la atención del creyente en Cristo y la Biblia. Normalmente, los únicos instrumentos musicales en este tipo de iglesias serán pianos,
órganos, guitarras acústicas y posiblemente instrumentos que se encuentran en orquestas o bandas de escuelas secundarias: e.g. trompetas, clarinetes, etc; pero no guitarras eléctricas ni música rock con tambores
ruidosos.
Jacobo 3:13-18: “¿Quién es un hombre sabio y dotado de conocimiento entre ustedes? Deja que él muestre desde su buena conducta sus obras hechas en la mansedumbre de la sabiduría. Pero si tenéis celos amargos
y contiendas en vuestros corazones, no os jactéis, ni mintáis en contra de la verdad. Esta sabiduría no desciende de lo alto, sino es TERRENAL, SENSUAL y DEMONÍACA: porque donde hay envidia y contienda, hay confusión
y toda obra mala. Pero la sabiduría que viene desde arriba es primero puro, luego pacífica, amable y fácil de ser suplicada, llena de misericordia y buenos frutos, sin prejuicios y sin hipocresía. Y el fruto de
la justicia es sembrada en paz por aquellos quien haces las paces”.
Efesios 5:18-21: “Y no emborrachéis con vino (en el que hay exceso), sino estad continuamente lleno del Espíritu; hablando a ustedes mismos en Salmos, himnos y canciones espirituales, cantando y haciendo
melodía en su corazón al Señor; dando gracias siempre por todo a Dios y al Padre en el Nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo: sometiendo ustedes mismos uno al otro en el temor de Dios”.
Este tipo de iglesia se centrará en la evangelización y la ganancia de almas, el apoyo a las misiones y la plantación de iglesias. El pastor es un hombre piadoso que no es perfecto, pero trata de dar ejemplo
a su rebaño en todo lo que dice y hace. Las mujeres pastoras o evangelistas no son aceptadas por estas iglesias, porque están prohibidas por la Palabra de Dios:
I Corintios 14:34-37: “Dejen que vuestras mujeres guarden silencio en las Asambleas: porque no les está permitido hablar; pero ellos se les ordena ser bajo obediencia, como también dice la Ley. Y si ellos
aprenderán algo, dejen que pregunten en casa a sus maridos; porque es vergonzoso que las mujeres hablen en la Asamblea. ¿Qué? ¿La Palabra de Dios salió de ustedes? ¿O llegó sólo a ustedes? Si alguno se cree profeta,
o espiritual, déjale reconocer que lo que os escribo son mandamientos del Señor”.
I Timoteo 3:1-2: “Éste es un verdadero dicho: si un hombre aspira al cargo de un Supervisor [pastor], desea una buena obra. Un supervisor entonces debe ser irreprochable, marido de una sola esposa..”.
Tito 1:5-6: “Por esta razón, te dejé en Creta: que deberías poner en orden las cosas que faltan; y ordenases ancianos en cada ciudad, como yo te dirigí: si alguno es irreprochable, marido de una sola mujer,
y teniendo hijos fieles que ni sean acusados de libertinaje o rebeldía”.
1 Timoteo 2:11-14: “La mujer aprenda en silencio, con toda sujeción. Porque no permito a la mujer enseñar, ni usurpar autoridad sobre el varón, sino estar en silencio: porque Adán fue formado primero, después
Eva; y Adán no fue engañado, sino que la mujer, al ser engañada, cayó en transgresión”.
Este tipo de iglesias (en los Estados Unidos) normalmente usan solo la versión King James de la Biblia (pero no siempre); y se identifican como “Fundamental”, “Independiente” y “Bautista”. No se avergüenzan
de la palabra “bautista”. Estos términos se utilizaron durante los últimos 130 años en los Estados Unidos para distinguir a las iglesias que creen en la Biblia de aquellas que se habían alejado de la Biblia para convertirse en los números 2 y 4 de la lista. Vea las notas finales.
Finalmente, una iglesia que cree en la Biblia cree en todas las doctrinas históricas de la fe cristiana: la Trinidad de Dios, la Salvación por gracia mediante solo la fe en la Obra terminado de Cristo en
la cruz, el Bautismo por inmersión solo para los creyentes, y más.
2 Timoteo 3:16-17: “Toda la Escritura es dada por inspiración de Dios; y es beneficioso para la doctrina, para la reprensión, para la corrección, y para la instrucción en la rectitud; para que el hombre
de Dios puede estar completo y completamente equipado para todo buen trabajo”.
1 Timoteo 3:14-16: “Esto te escribo, con la esperanza que vendré pronto a ti, para que si tardo, sepas cómo debes conducirte en la casa de Dios, que es la Asamblea del Dios viviente, columna y apoyo de la
verdad. Y sin contradicción, grande es el misterio de la piedad: Dios fue manifestado en carne, justificado en el Espíritu, visto de los ángeles, predicado a los gentiles, creído en el mundo, y llevado hasta el
Cielo en gloria”.
Hay una variedad de creencias y prácticas dentro de este grupo. Un letrero de la iglesia que dice las cosas correctas no garantiza que la iglesia o el pastor en realidad sean lo que dicen ser. Busca primera
la voluntad de Dios antes de unirse a cualquier iglesia.
¡El número de estas iglesias en el mundo es muy pequeño en comparación con el número de todas las iglesias que profesan ser cristianas! Esto no debería ser una sorpresa.
2) El tipo comunitario de iglesia (New Evangelical, Interdenominational)
La comunidad o iglesia interdenominacional afirma ser como la iglesia Bautista Fundamental en creencias; sin embargo, no son iguales en absoluto. Responderían a las tres preguntas como sí, sí y no.
Muchas “iglesias comunitarias” no son mejores que una iglesia carismática. Intentan ser lo más inofensivos posible y encajar en la cultura, en lugar de ser una influencia purificadora en su comunidad. Dicen
creer a la Biblia; Pero ellos se niegan a seguirlo fielmente.
Este tipo de iglesia utiliza métodos no bíblicos para atraer personas a sus iglesias; copian la vieja táctica de la religión católica romana, que es traer a su iglesia a tanta gente como sea posible, sin
preocuparse de si realmente han nacido de nuevo o no.
El pastor: “Joe Schmo se ha presentado para unirse a nuestra iglesia. Dice que es salvado. Todos los que están a favor dicen ‘sí’; todos los que se oponen, dicen ‘no’, por supuesto que no hay ninguno. ¡Bienvenidos
a nuestra iglesia!".
¡Este método tiene éxito en aumentar la membresía de la iglesia, pero también llena la iglesia con personas que no conocen al Señor Jesucristo! Y esa es una receta para la corrupción espiritual y el pecado
en la iglesia.
2 Corintios 6:14-7:1: “No os unid en yugo desigual con los incrédulos: porque ¿qué compañerismo tiene la justicia con la injusticia? ¿Y qué comunión la luz con las tinieblas? ¿Y qué concordia Cristo con
Belial? ¿O qué parte el creyente con el incrédulo? ¿Y qué acuerdo tiene el Templo de Dios con los ídolos? Porque todos ustedes son un Templo del Dios Vivo; como dios ha dicho, “Habitaré en ellos y caminaré en ellos;
y yo seré su Dios; y ellos serán mi pueblo”. Por lo tanto, salid desde entre ellos, y sed separada,’ dice el Señor, ‘y no toquéis la cosa inmunda; y yo os recibiré, y seré Padre a ustedes, y ustedes me seréis hijos
e hijas,’ dice el Señor Todopoderoso”. Por lo tanto, amados, teniendo tales promesas, limpiémonos desde toda inmundicia de la carne y del espíritu, perfeccionando la santidad en el temor de Dios”.
Las iglesias comunitarias en general dan la bienvenida a todo tipo de música mundana, similar a la de los carismáticos; sin embargo, no necesariamente todos. Algunos son peores que otros.
Las mujeres pastoras y/o diáconos son comunes en este tipo de iglesias, en contra de la Palabra de Dios.
Algunas iglesias comunitarias aceptan el bautismo infantil en lugar del bautismo bíblico: “¡No queremos ofender a nadie!” Contra la Palabra de Dios.
Muchas iglesias comunitarias diluyen el Evangelio: “¡No queremos ofender a nadie!” Contra la Palabra de Dios.
Una iglesia de tipo comunitario en particular está pastoreada por Joel Osteen, uno de los falsos profetas más famosos del mundo. Osteen profesa creer en la Biblia; pero sus enseñanzas son pentecostales, con
el falso evangelio de “salud y riqueza”. Muchas iglesias comunitarias son similares a grupos carismáticos o pentecostales.
En general: intentan atraer a todos, minimizan el discurso sobre el pecado, aceptan música mundana e impía, suavizan el Evangelio y sólo hablan del amor de Dios en lugar del arrepentimiento: contra la Palabra
de Dios.
Dios no puede bendecir este tipo de iglesia, porque aunque las iglesias comunitarias suelen ser ricas y estar llenas de gente, ¡No saben que en realidad son pobres, ciegos y desnudos ante los ojos de Dios!
La revelación 3:14-19: “Y escribe al mensajero de la Asamblea de los Laodicenses: ‘Estas cosas dice el Amén, el testigo Fiel y Verdadero, el Principio de la creación de Dios: ‘Yo conozco tus obras, que ni
eres frío, ni caliente. Quisiera que fueses frío o caliente. Pero porque eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca. Porque tú dices, ‘Soy rico, y estoy enriquecido, y no tengo necesidad de nada’,
y no conoces que tú eres un desventurado, y miserable, y pobre, y ciego, y desnudo; por lo tanto te aconsejo que me compres oro refinado en fuego, para que seas rico, y vestiduras blancas para que te vistas, y
no se descubra la vergüenza de tu desnudez; y unge tus ojos con colirio, para que veas. Tantos como amo, yo reprendo y disciplino; por tanto, sé celoso, y arrepiéntete”.
Hay una amplia gama de creencias y prácticas dentro de este grupo, desde algo conservadoras hasta falsas profetas (Joel Osteen). Todos afirman creer en la Biblia y creer en Jesucristo como Salvador. Su lealtad
a la Palabra de Dios, en promedio, es muy débil.
La mayoría de las iglesias que profesan creer en la Biblia son iglesias de tipo comunitario, carismáticas o pentecostales. Muchos de ellos fueron anteriormente Bautistas Fundamentales; pero desde entonces
han abandonado su anterior lealtad a la Biblia.
3) El tipo de iglesia carismática y pentecostal
Probablemente responderían a las tres preguntas como sí, sí y no. Sin embargo, para un carismático, ¡la Biblia no se detuvo con los Apóstoles! ¡Continúa hoy, cada vez que alguien se levanta en la iglesia
y dice: "Así dice el Señor:"! En otras palabras, para estas iglesias, Dios no ha dejado de hacer nuevas Escrituras. ¡Así que la Biblia, para ellos, no está completa! Pueden cambiar la Biblia en cualquier momento
que quieran afirmando que el Señor les dijo algo diferente.
La predicación de una iglesia carismática o pentecostal se trata de tener una EXPERIENCIA: música rock, jazz, soul o rap con ritmo pesado; baile impío, “risa santa”, hablando en galimatías, matando el espíritu,
humo y espejos, luces de discoteca. Entonces la iglesia hace que los miembros se sientan bien mientras van al infierno, porque no predican el Evangelio: ¡Se trata de la CARNE y del YO, no del Señor Jesucristo y
la Palabra de Dios!
James 3:15-16: “Esta sabiduría no desciende de lo alto, sino que es TERRENAL, SENSUAL y DEMONÍACA: porque donde hay envidia y contienda, allí hay confusión y toda obra mala”. ¡Este tipo de iglesia rara vez,
o nunca, habla de los pecados de la gente y de por qué deben arrepentirse inmediatamente y arreglarse con el Señor! Hablarán de lo grande que eres TÚ (por ejemplo, el falso profeta Joel Osteen), y muy poco de la
grandeza de Dios y su Juicio venidero.
Cualquier “evangelio” que se predique en una de estas iglesias generalmente se trata de bautizarse, unirse a la iglesia y hablar en lenguas. Rara vez escucharás el verdadero evangelio del arrepentimiento
y la fe en la obra consumada de Cristo en la cruz. Estas iglesias están llenas de personas que en su mayoría están perdidas y no conocen al Señor como su Salvador.
¡Cualquier iglesia con música rock, rap o soul, luces de discoteca y todas estas cosas debe ser evitada como la peste por cualquiera que quiera seguir al Señor Jesucristo!
Cuando el enfoque de una iglesia está en la carne, y no en Jesucristo y su Palabra, el fruto de esa iglesia siempre será la CARNE:
Gálatas 5:19-21: “Ahora, las obras de la carne son evidentes, cuales son estos: adulterio, fornicación, inmundicia, malos deseos, idolatría, brujería, odio, discordia, emulaciones, iras, contiendas, sediciones,
herejías, envidias, homicidios, borracheras, la fiesta y cosas semejantes a estas; de las cuales os digo antes, como también os lo he dicho en el pasado, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el Reino
de Dios”.
Gálatas 6:7-8: “No os engañéis; Dios no puede ser burlado; pues todo lo que el hombre sembrare, eso también segará: porque el que siembra para su carne, de la carne segará corrupción; pero el que siembra
para el Espíritu, del Espíritu segará Vida Eterna”.
Este tipo de iglesia puede hablar de evangelismo, pero lo que realmente hacen es buscar bautistas para “hablar en lenguas” y convertirlos en carismáticos. Llevar a los pecadores a Jesús es raro o inexistente
en estas iglesias. El pastor es frecuentemente una mujer (en contra de la Palabra de Dios).
Están muy equivocados en cuanto al método de salvación. Muchos no son salvados, pero han “hablado en lenguas [galimatías]”, por eso creen que son salvados. Encontrarás muy poca enseñanza bíblica sólida en
este tipo de iglesias, incluso en las más conservadoras.
Su lealtad a la Palabra de Dios es extremadamente débil; confían en sus experiencias de hablar en “lenguas”, “sanidades” y supuestos milagros más que en la Palabra de Dios.
4) Los protestantes
La mayoría de los protestantes ya no protestan contra el catolicismo; y han estado regresando al catolicismo romano durante décadas, al menos desde la década de 1960 o antes.
La mayoría de ellos respondería a las tres preguntas como no, no y no (pero todavía hay una poca excepciones). ¡Estas iglesias creen en su declaración de fe más que en la Biblia misma! Pero como sus iglesias
continúen retrocediendo hacia Sodoma y Gomorra, cambiarán su declaración de fe según sea necesario para adaptarse a su situación.
La mayoría de los grupos protestantes son muy liberales; muchos de ellos promueven la homosexualidad y muchos permiten que homosexuales y mujeres sirvan como pastores. Casi todos ellos se apartaron de la
Biblia hace muchas décadas.
El bautismo de niños hizo que estas iglesias y púlpitos se llenaran de almas perdidas que confiaban en el agua para salvarlos de sus pecados; ¡pero el agua no puede lavar los pecados! ¡Sólo la preciosa Sangre
de Jesucristo en la cruz puede hacer eso! Amén. Entonces, cuando una iglesia está llena de gente perdida, es inevitable que la iglesia se aparte de la Biblia; y eso es exactamente lo que ha sucedido desde la Reforma.
Hay algunas excepciones: metodistas fundamentalistas, presbiterianos fundamentalistas (por ejemplo, Ian Paisley de Irlanda del Norte); pero lamentablemente son muy pocos. También hay iglesias individuales
dentro de las denominaciones apóstatas que continúan defendiendo la Biblia (aunque no como el grupo #1). Deberían dejar su denominación y seguir plenamente al Señor Jesús, pero no lo hacen.
5) El culto al catolicismo romano y otros cultos
El catolicismo romano no es cristiano; es una religión pagana disfrazada de cristianismo. No tiene límites en lo que puede decir sobre cualquier tema, porque el Papa es supuestamente infalible cuando hable
desde “la cátedra de San Pedro”, que es una de las muchas mentiras que ha dicho esta religión falsa.
Según los papas, la Biblia es sólo la Palabra de Dios si el Papa está de acuerdo. Desde el siglo IV, los papas han enseñado muchas doctrinas como “dogmas” (el Papa lo dijo, así que es verdad), aunque la Biblia
no está de acuerdo. Así que el catolicismo va más allá de lo liberal: ¡es blasfemo y está en guerra con Dios y la Biblia!
En la Revelación se la llama “La Ramera de Babilonia” por una muy buena razón: porque es una ramera religiosa (La Revelación 17); y tiene en sus manos la sangre de millones de mártires cristianos; y Dios
lo juzgará algún día (La revelación 18).
El catolicismo romano es una secta con un hombre en la cima (el Papa) con toda la autoridad y todo el poder. Es el culto más grande del mundo (#6); y también incorpora muchos aspectos de las religiones paganas
(#7) con ídolos y una “reina del cielo” que es exactamente como la babilónica Semiramus, quien fue la primera mujer diosa de la historia. Muchas diosas del paganismo copiaron a Semiramis, como Diana, Atenea, Afrodita,
Artemisa y muchas más. Estás diosas paganas eran rameras; y Apocalipsis 17 identifica a la Ramera de Babilonia como una ciudad que está sentada sobre 7 montes, que es la ciudad de Roma.
La Revelación 17:9: “Y he aquí la mente que tiene sabiduría: las siete cabezas son siete montes, sobre los cuales se sienta la mujer”.
La Revelación 17:18: “Y la mujer que tú vio es aquella gran ciudad de Roma, que reina sobre los reyes de la tierra”.
Los papas, cardenales, obispos y sacerdotes supuestamente tienen el poder de perdonar tus pecados; lo cual es imposible, porque un pecador sólo puede perdonar los pecados contra sí mismo, no los pecados contra
Dios.
Si bien el catolicismo afirma creer en la Trinidad de Dios, la verdad es que tienen al menos dos dioses en el Cielo: El Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo, más la Reina del Cielo (María), quien es una diosa
que es igual a Jesús, porque, como Dios, puede escuchar las oraciones de los católicos (supuestamente); y Jesús la respeta tanto que si ella le pide que haga algo, Él lo hará. Todos los santos del Cielo son también
“dioses”, porque los católicos también les rezan; así, en el catolicismo, el Cielo está lleno de muchos dioses, lo que lo convierte en una religión pagana: no el cristianismo.
Esto, por supuesto, es una completa MENTIRA, porque Dios no le dará su gloria a otro; ¡Y María NO es la “reina del Cielo”! Está falsa enseñanza proviene del paganismo babilónico y no se enseña en la Biblia
en absoluto. Por lo tanto, el catolicismo es un culto pagano y no es verdaderamente trinitario en absoluto. María ciertamente está en el Cielo, pero ni hay un solo texto en la Biblia que respalde la mentira de
que los cristianos deben orar a María o que ella es la “reina del Cielo”; o que los cristianos deberían orar a los santos.
Los siguientes grupos están clasificados como sectas, porque dicen ser cristianos, pero rechazan la Trinidad de Dios y la fe en la Obra terminado de Jesucristo en la cruz (su crucifixión, sepultura y resurrección)
como el único camino de Salvación.
1) Los testigos de Jehová
2) Mormones
3) Iglesia de Dios Mundial
4) Culto a David Koresh
5) Papá Gracia; y miles de otros pequeños grupos de culto en todo el mundo.
El catolicismo es el culto más grande del mundo y se originó en el siglo IV; estos otros también son grandes, pero de origen reciente.
Algunos grupos dentro de los puntos 3 y 4 anteriores también rechazan las doctrinas centrales del cristianismo. Por ejemplo, algunos grupos carismáticos y pentecostales creen en “sólo Jesús”; y muchos afirman
que el Espíritu Santo es sólo una fuerza y no es Dios. Entonces, cuanto más nos alejamos de la Biblia, más fácil resulta caer en errores doctrinales.
6) Religiones paganas
Hinduismo, budismo, islamismo, sintoísmo, taoísmo, bahaísmo, zoroastrismo, satanismo, wicca, santería, y otros.
Todas estas religiones creen en múltiples dioses/diosas; o afirman que Dios y la naturaleza son lo mismo (panteísmo); o que Dios y el mal son iguales (Yin y Yang); o (Islam) creen en un solo Dios con un nombre
diferente al único Dios verdadero de la Biblia (un Dios en tres Personas), que es Jehová Elohim: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Así, en realidad, ¡Los musulmanes están adorando al diablo y no lo saben!
Todos niegan que Jesús sea Dios Todopoderoso y niegan la Trinidad de Dios y la Obra terminado de Jesucristo en la cruz. Reencarnación, el hombre se convierte (o puede convertirse) en dios después de la muerte,
etc.
Existe una amplia gama de creencias diferentes; pero todos no están de acuerdo con las palabras de Jesús: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí” Juan 14:6.
Conclusión
Amigos, ¡no hay iglesias que sean perfectas, porque no hay personas que sean perfectas! Amén. Sin embargo, siempre debemos estar buscando corregir nuestros errores y acercarnos al Señor Jesucristo y su Palabra
en la Biblia, ya que Dios nos da la gracia para hacerlo.
Desafortunadamente, una vez que una iglesia abandona el grupo #1, es extremadamente difícil, si no imposible, regresar plenamente a la Palabra de Dios; tienden a continuar en un camino descendente hacia Sodoma
hasta que ya nadie asiste a la iglesia y ésta se convierte en un club social o una mezquita musulmana. The only way to stop that trend is to start a church from scratch or join the right kind of church: break away
from all previous connections and start over.
Y si eres un cristiano nacido de nuevo y miembro de cualquiera de los grupos del 2 al 6, debes hacer una ruptura total con tu pasado y encontrar una iglesia Bautista Fundamental e Independiente. ¡Toma tu
posición con el Señor Jesucristo y su Palabra!
2 Corintios 6:14-7:1: "No os unid en yugo desigual con los incrédulos: porque ¿qué compañerismo tiene la justicia con la injusticia? ¿Y qué comunión la luz con las tinieblas? ¿Y qué concordia Cristo con
Belial? ¿O qué parte el creyente con el incrédulo? ¿Y qué acuerdo tiene el Templo de Dios con los ídolos? Porque todos ustedes son un Templo del Dios Vivo; como dios ha dicho, “Habitaré en ellos y caminaré en ellos;
y yo seré su Dios; y ellos serán mi pueblo”.
‘Por lo tanto, salid desde entre ellos, y sed separada,’ dice el Señor, ‘y no toquéis la cosa inmunda; y yo os recibiré, y seré Padre a ustedes, y ustedes me seréis hijos e hijas,’ dice el Señor Todopoderoso”.
Por lo tanto, amados, teniendo tales promesas, limpiémonos desde toda inmundicia de la carne y del espíritu, perfeccionando la santidad en el temor de Dios".
La Revelación 18:4-5: "Y oí otra voz del Cielo, que decía, “Salid de ella, pueblo mío, para que no seáis partícipes de sus pecados, y para que no recibáis de sus plagas: porque sus pecados han llegado hasta
el Cielo, y Dios se ha acordado de las iniquidades de ella".
¡Como ser salvado!
Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios que nació de una virgen; Vivió una vida sin pecado, Él dio su vida en la cruz para expiar todos nuestros pecados y resucitó de entre los muertos al tercer día.
La Biblia dice que si creemos estas cosas, podemos ser salvados, si nos arrepentimos de nuestros pecados y recibimos a Jesucristo como nuestro Salvador personal:
Romanos 10:8-13: “Pero ¿qué dice? “La Palabra está cerca de ti, incluso en tu boca y en tu corazón”, es decir, la Palabra de fe (que predicamos), que si confesarás con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creerás en
tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, tú serás salvado: porque con el corazón, el hombre cree para justicia, y con la boca, la confesión se hace para la salvación: porque la Escritura dice, “cualquiera
que en él creyere, no será avergonzado”. Porque no hay diferencia entre el judio y el gentil: porque el mismo Señor sobre todo es rico a todos los que le invocan: porque [está escrito], “Cualquiera que llamará
sobre el Nombre del Señor será salvado”.
Si estás listo para ser salvado, entonces puedes usar la siguiente oración para arrepentirte y recibir al Señor Jesucristo como tu Salvador personal:
“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra USTED. ¡No soy bueno y usted eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas
a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”

Las notas finales
El cristianismo estadounidense fue relativamente conservador desde el período colonial hasta finales del siglo XIX. Fue entonces cuando la teoría de la evolución y la influencia de los manuscritos Aleph y B comenzó a corroer y corromper los seminarios en los Estados Unidos, así como la semilla corrupta del liberalismo que se estaba propagando desde los seminarios luteranos alemanes a través de los estudiantes de la Biblia estadounidenses que obtuvieron allí sus doctorados. Regresaron a Estados Unidos y comenzaron a enseñar que la Biblia no era la Palabra de Dios y muchas otras herejías.
Fundamentalismo a finales del siglo XIX en Estados Unidos fue un intento de los bautistas y protestantes conservadores de unirse frente a todas estas influencias liberales corrosivas y de proclamar que había varios "Fundamentales" de la fe cristiana que tenían en común entre ellos.
Al principio, "los fundamentalistas" dentro de las diversas denominaciones protestantes (y otros grupos como los bautistas del sur y del norte) permanecieron dentro de sus denominaciones; y trataron de salvar sus denominaciones de las crecientes tendencias hacia el modernismo y la incredulidad en la Biblia.
Sin embargo, esto no funcionó; y finalmente, la mayoría de ellos se sintieron obligados a separarse de sus denominaciones apóstatas y comenzar nuevas afiliaciones religiosas y grupos eclesiásticos. Con el tiempo, incluso estos grupos sufrieron la influencia del modernismo y la incredulidad; y tuvieron sus propias divisiones; y este proceso ha continuado hasta el día de hoy, especialmente con las denominaciones protestantes.
Además de la influencia corrosiva de la teoría de la evolución, los manuscritos Aleph y B, y las enseñanzas del modernismo, el movimiento carismático comenzó a enseñar que la Biblia no era final, y que Dios todavía estaba hablando nueva revelación a través de "profetas" y "apóstoles". Esto abrió la puerta a una enorme influencia demoníaca entre muchas iglesias; y esto condujo a más divisiones y más apostasía a medida que las iglesias anteriormente Fundamentales se volvieron "Evangélicas"; y luego Carismático; o se volvieron completamente liberales. Éstas son las razones de los cambios que ha experimentado el cristianismo estadounidense en los últimos 130 años.
Dios ha permitido que Satanás corrompa y destruya muchas iglesias como parte del cumplimiento de las profecías del fin de los tiempos.
2 Timoteo 3:1-7: "También, sabed esto, que en los Últimos Días, vendrán tiempos peligrosos. Porque los hombres serán amantes de sí mismos, codicioso, fanfarrones, orgulloso, blasfemos, desobedientes a los padres, desagradecidos, profanos, sin afecto natural, irreconciliable, acusadores falsos, sin autocontrol, feroces, aborrecedores de los que son buenos, traidores, imprudentes, engreídos y amantes de los placeres más que amantes de Dios; teniendo una forma de piedad, pero negando su poder; de tales, apártate. Porque de este tipo son los que se arrastran dentro las casas, y hacen cautivas de mujeres crédulas cargadas de pecados, llevadas por diversos deseos, siempre aprendiendo, pero nunca capaz llegar al conocimiento de la Verdad".
2 Tesalonicenses 2:1-4: "Os rogamos, pues, hermanos, en cuanto a la venida de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, y por nuestra reunión con él, que no seas pronto sacudido en mente, ni os turbéis; ni por espíritu malo, ni por palabra, ni por carta como desde nosotros, como que el Día de Cristo está cerca. Nadie os engañe en ninguna manera; porque ese día no vendrá,
a menos que una apostasía venga primero; y se revela aquel hombre de Pecado, el hijo de Perdición; quien se opone y se exalta sobre todo lo que se llama Dios, o es adorado; para que él, como Dios, se siente en el templo de Dios, mostrándose a sí mismo que es Dios".
Amigos, espero que hayan leído toda esta serie de estudios sobre el tema del hablar en lenguas, porque es una de las doctrinas más desafiantes de estudiar en toda la Biblia; y también uno de los estudios
bíblicos más necesarios entre los creyentes de hoy.
Las iglesias carismáticas y pentecostales tienen muchas personas que son salvados, pero son confundidas acerca de la enseñanza de la Biblia sobre este asunto; pero también, un gran número de los que no se
salvan.
