Romans, Chapter 2.2: Both Jews and Gentiles can only be justified through faith alone in the New Covenant Finished Work of Christ (2:17 - 5:21)

§Complement Introduction: Even the most religious person possible is condemned by the Law of Moses (2:17 - 3:8)

¶Opposite The proud Jew’s profession of faith in God is destroyed by his breaking of the Law of Moses (2:17 - 29)

¶Opposite God is always righteous in everything that He does, including judging sin (3:1 - 8)

§Complement Body: Justification from sin is by faith alone in the Finished Work of Christ without the works of the Law or circumcision (3:9 - 5:8)

¶Unique Both Jews and Gentiles can be justified by the same God through their faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ (3:9 - 31)

Comments: In this study, we are going to move on from Romans 3:9-31, where Paul explained the process of Salvation, or “Justification”. Recall that Paul listed four things in Romans 3:21-26 that happens when a sinner repents of his sins and receives Jesus Christ as his personal Savior; in other words, the sinner placed his faith and trust in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross 2,000 years ago.

1) Imputation: God credits (or imputes) to the believer his own righteousness in response to our faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross

2) Declaration: God declares the sinner who believes in Jesus Christ to be righteous in his sight (our new standing or position with God)

3) Propitiation: Jesus Christ was a propitiation for the sins of all mankind on the cross

4) Redemption: The sinner is redeemed from the slave market of sin by the Finished Work of Christ

We have to keep this information in mind, because it is the context that gives meaning to the following two paragraphs in Romans 4:1-8; and also 4:9-15 (the second and third paragraphs of the Body section).

In Romans 3:21-26, Paul plainly showed that salvation is of the Lord! That is to say, the Lord Jesus Christ did all of the work that was required for a sinner to be saved when He fulfilled the Law of Moses without sin of any kind in his Life; and then He received the wrath of God on the cross for three hours to atone for the sins of the entire human race: past, present, and future.

Why do we need salvation? Because we were born in state of sin; which means that we were born without any knowledge or fellowship with the one true God, our Creator! If we are not saved before we die, we will be eternally separated from God in Hell first; and later, the Lake of Fire. God cannot allow a sinner into his Holy Heaven! And we will live somewhere foreover, either in Heaven or in Hell; therefore our sins must be forgiven by God before we die or our state as a sinner will become permanent!

Jesus Christ paid for our sins on the cross, so that we can be saved.

When a sinner believes on the Finished Work of Christ on the cross for their sins, all of their sins (past, present, and future) are forgiven to them forever!

You see, my entire life (and yours too) with all of my sins, from the moment that I committed my first sin against God, until the day that I will die, were all placed on Jesus 2,000 years ago. He paid for all of those sins forever! They cannot be brought back to condemn me at the Judgment, because Jesus paid it all! All to Him I owe; sin had made a crimson stain, but He washed them white as snow! Amen.

When I sin now, I sin as a child of the King of kings and Lord of lords; and his Holy Spirit convicts me of my sins and chastises me for my spiritual good, so that I might live a holy life before Him and before the world, and be a good testimony for his glory.

Hebrews 12:5-8: “And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children, “My son, despise not the discipline of [Jehovah], nor faint when you are rebuked by him: for whom [Jehovah] loves he disciplines, and scourges every son whom he receives.” If you endure discipline, God deals with you as with sons: for what son is he whom the father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, whereof all are partakers, then you are illegitimate, and not truly sons of God.”

In other words, it is impossible and wrong to try to add something to the Finished Work of Christ on the cross, because God will not accept it, no matter what it is!

Unique What shall we say then that Abraham our father (according to the flesh) has found?

Complement For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to glory in.

Complement But not before God: for what does the Scripture say? Abraham “believed in [Jehovah]; and his faith was credited to him for righteousness.”

Opposite Now, to him that works, the reward is not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

Opposite But to him that does not work, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness. Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, to whom God imputes righteousness without works, saying, “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. lessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”

Comments: Notice the Golden Ratio design of the sub-paragraphs within this paragraph. It is one unique, two complements, and two opposites; the next paragraph has the same design, because they are both complements on the paragraph level. The first paragraph had the reverse Golden Ratio design of two opposites, two complements, and one unique.

¶Unique Both Jews and Gentiles can be justified by the same God through their faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ (3:9 - 31)

¶Complement Abraham was justified by faith alone without works (4:1 - 8)

¶Complement Abraham was justified by faith alone before he was circumcised (4:9 - 15)

Abraham was justified by faith alone without works (4:1 - 8); therefore, works of any kind cannot save you! Faith alone in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross is the only Way to be saved!

Romans 4:2-3: “For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to glory in. But not before God: for what does the Scripture say? Abraham “believed in [Jehovah]; and his faith was credited to him for righteousness.”

Can it be any clearer?

Romans 4:4-5: “Now, to him that works, the reward is not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that does not work, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness.”

The entire world, outside of Bible-believing Christianity, is trying to get to Heaven (as they define it) by doing good works! Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Shintos, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, liberal “christians”, and even many people who attend Bible believing churches: all of them believe the lie that God will weigh their good works against their bad works; and if their good works exceed their bad works, God will let them into Heaven.

But is this the teaching of the Bible? No! It is the opposite!

Romans 4:3b: “Abraham “believed in Jehovah; and his faith was credited to him for righteousness”.

We also must be saved the exact same way or we will perish in Hell and the Lake of Fire forever!

Unique Does this blessedness then come only upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? For we say that faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it credited? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

Complement And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was still uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all them that believe (though they are not circumcised), so that righteousness might be imputed to them also;

Complement and he is the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had while he was still uncircumcised.

Opposite For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham or to his seed through the Law of Moses, but through the righteousness of faith.

Opposite For if only they which are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of no effect; because the Law works wrath: for where no Law exists, there is no transgression.

Comments: Paul makes a very important point here, that circumcision had nothing to do with the salvation (or Justification) of Abraham by Jehovah God! Therefore, it has nothing to do with your salvation either.

Romans 4:9-10: “Does this blessedness then come only upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? For we say that faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it credited? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.”

What was circumcision? It was a physical SIGN in the flesh of Hebrew men of the Covenant that God made with Abraham, that they belonged to Jehovah God! But there were many men of Israel who were circumcised and also did not know Jehovah God! So Paul confirms from the text of Genesis that being circumcised cannot save anyone; and Abraham was justified without circumcision.

There is a similar situation to us today, where countless millions of people have been baptized in or with water, whether as infants or adults; and yet, they do not know the Lord Jesus as their Savior!

I have spoken to many who claimed that they had been baptized; but they were not saved! They had not been to any church at all for years; and they never read the Bible and gave little or no thought at all for the will of God in their lives. The evidence is clear that being dunked or sprinkled with water cannot wash away any sin at all nor can it make you into a Christian.

Neither circumcision or baptism in water can save you from the wrath of God for your sins! Only repentance and faith in the Finished Work of Christ can do that for you.

Doing work always means that I receive a reward in exchange for my work

I work for my employer, so they give me a paycheck at the end of every week, because then they owe me money in exchange for the value I provided for the company: if I provide a lot of value for the company, I may get a bigger paycheck and a better office! Then I could boast to my friends and family,

“Look at what I have done! I help my company to make a lot of money, and they’ve given me a great paycheck, so I can live in a beautiful home and drive a nice car!”

Do you see? The glory would go to myself, and not to my company, because I did all these works and was rewarded with a good income, so I can live in a nice home etc. Works are all about me, not about where my reward came from.

I can just imagine what Heaven would be like if people could do good works to earn their salvation:

“Hello Joe! What did you do to earn your salvation?” Joe: “I crossed the oceans and helped people with their medical problems, because I’m a doctor. I gave all my money to feed the poor. God was so impressed with my good works that He gave me a gold star along with my halo, and everyone in Heaven gave me a standing ovation!” (Bragging).

Does that sound ridiculous? It should, because it illustrates that God would never accept our good works to atone for our sins, because it would lead to PRIDE; and God hates our pride! It is an abomination to God!

Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goes before destruction; and an arrogant attitude before a fall.”

Proverbs 8:13: “The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate.”

Does God accept our works to atone for our sins? No!

Matthew 7:21-23: “Not every one that says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but only he that does the will of my Father, who is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your Name? And in your Name, have we not cast out demons? And in your Name, have we not done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.’”

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace you have been permanently saved through faith; and that faith is not out of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of our own works, lest any man should boast”

Luke 18:9-14: “And he spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up into the Temple to pray: one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are: extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing far away, would not lift up so much as his eyes to Heaven; but he smote upon his breast, saying, ‘God be merciful to me a sinner.’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalts himself shall be humbled; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.”

Conclusion

Strange, isn’t it, how so many churches that claim to be Christian are preaching salvation by works, when the Bible clearly teaches the opposite?

Can you be a real Christian if you don’t believe what God said in his Word? The answer is no. The truth does not change over time! If it does (and it has in many cases), then it can no longer be the truth. It is a lie!

The Word of God is FINAL. If you are trusting in something other than what God has said in his Word, then you are trusting in the words of men, which will fail.

Matthew 7:24-27: Jesus said, “Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon solid rock; and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon solid rock. And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and beat upon that house; and it fell; and great was its fall.”

HOW TO BE SAVED

Sinner friend! Is the Lord Jesus drawing you to come to Him? Do not resist his work in your heart! This means that you have hope, because if your heart is not troubled by your sins and you are perfectly happy to be a sinner apart from God, then you will certainly go to Hell; and later, the Lake of Fire!

There is no hope in the false god “Allah”, for he is the devil! He only wants your destruction!

There is no hope in the false gods of Hinduism or in Buddhism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Roman Catholicism, Bahai, or Shintoism; and especially not in witchcraft or Satanism! These are all Satanic religions and will lead you into the Lake of Fire!

Yield yourself to the one true God Jehovah, and repent of your sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for your sins, and rose again from the dead on the third day! He is the Son of God. Amen.

Jesus Christ is the only Way to Heaven; any other way (Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hinduism, Buddhism, Bahai etc) will lead you into Hell.

“Jesus says to him, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: NO MAN comes to the Father, but through me’” John 14:6.

You can be saved, right now, if you want to know that you have Eternal Life in Heaven waiting for you when you die! Use this prayer to repent and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and to come into your life, right now!

“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

Comentarios: En este estudio, vamos a seguir adelante desde Romanos 3:9-31, donde Pablo explicó el proceso de Salvación o “Justificación”. Recuerde que Pablo enumeró cuatro cosas en Romanos 3:21-26 que suceden cuando un pecador se arrepiente de sus pecados y recibe a Jesucristo como su Salvador personal; en otras palabras, el pecador puso su fe y confianza en la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz hace 2.000 años.

1) Imputación: Dios acredita (o imputa) al creyente su propia justicia en respuesta a nuestra fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz.

2) Declaración: Dios declara que el pecador que cree en Jesucristo es justo ante sus ojos (nuestra nueva posición ante Dios)

3) Propiciación: Jesucristo fue una propiciación por los pecados de toda la humanidad en la cruz.

4) Redención: El pecador es redimido del mercado de esclavos del pecado por la Obra terminada de Cristo.

Tenemos que tener presente esta información, porque es el contexto el que da significado a los siguientes dos párrafos en Romanos 4:1-8; y también 4:9-15 (el segundo y tercer párrafo de la sección del Cuerpo).

¡En Romanos 3:21-26, Pablo mostró claramente que la salvación es del Señor! Es decir, el Señor Jesucristo hizo toda la obra que se requería para que un pecador fuera salvado cuando cumplió la Ley de Moisés sin pecado de ningún tipo en su Vida; y luego recibió la ira de Dios en la cruz durante tres horas para expiar los pecados de toda la raza humana: pasados, presentes y futuros.

¿Por qué necesitamos la salvación? Porque nacimos en estado de pecado; lo que significa que nacimos sin ningún conocimiento o comunión con el único Dios verdadero, nuestro Creador. Si no somos salvados antes de morir, primero seremos eternamente separados de Dios en el infierno; y más tarde, el Lago de Fuego. ¡Dios no puede permitir que un pecador entre a su Santo Cielo! Y viviremos en algún lugar para siempre, ya sea en el Cielo o en el Infierno; por lo tanto, nuestros pecados deben ser perdonados por Dios antes de que muramos o nuestro estado como pecadores se volverá permanente.

Jesucristo pagó nuestros pecados en la cruz, para que podamos ser salvados.

Cuando un pecador cree en la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz por sus pecados, ¡todos sus pecados (pasados, presentes y futuros) le son perdonados para siempre!

Verás, toda mi vida (y la tuya también) con todos mis pecados, desde el momento que cometí mi primer pecado contra Dios, hasta el día que yo moriré, todos fueron puestos sobre Jesús hace 2000 años. ¡Él pagó por todos esos pecados para siempre! Ellos no pueden volver a condenarme en el Juicio, porque ¡Jesús lo pagó todo! Todo a Él se lo debo; ¡El pecado había hecho una mancha carmesí, pero Él los lavó blancos como la nieve! Amén.

Cuando peco ahora, peco como niño del Rey de reyes y Señor de señores; y su Espíritu Santo me convence de mis pecados y me castiga para mi bien espiritual, para que viva una vida santa delante de Él y ante el mundo, y sea un buen testimonio para su gloria.

Hebreos 12:5-8: “Y ustedes ha olvidado la exhortación que habla a ustedes como a niños: “Hijo mío, no desprecies la disciplina de [Jehová], ni desmayes cuando seas reprendido por él: porque quien [Jehová] ama, él disciplina; y él azota a todo hijo que recibe”. Si soportáis el castigo, Dios os trata como con hijos: porque ¿qué hijo es aquel a quien el padre no castiga? Pero si seáis sin el castigo, del cual todos son hechos partícipes, entonces ustedes son ilegítimos, y no sois verdaderamente hijos de Dios”.

En otras palabras, es imposible y equivocado tratar de agregar algo a la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz, porque Dios no lo aceptará, ¡sin importar lo que sea!

Único ¿Qué, pues, diremos que Abraham nuestro padre (según a la carne) ha encontrado?

El complemento Porque si Abraham fue justificado por las obras, tiene algo de lo que gloriarse.

El complemento Pero no delante Dios: porque ¿qué dice la Escritura? Abraham “creyó en [Jehová]; y su fe fue acreditada a él por justicia”.

Lo opuesto Ahora bien, al que obra, la recompensa no se le cuenta de gracia, sino de deuda.

Lo opuesto Pero al que no trabaja, sino cree en Aquél que justifica al impío, su fe es acreditada por justicia. Como David también describe la bienaventuranza del hombre a quien Dios atribuye justicia sin las obras, diciendo, “Bienaventurados aquellos cuyas iniquidades son perdonadas, y cuyos pecados están cubiertos. Bienaventurado el varón a quien [Jehová] no imputará pecado.”

Comentarios: Observe el diseño de la proporción áurea de los subpárrafos dentro de este párrafo. Es uno único, dos complementos y dos opuestos; el siguiente párrafo tiene el mismo diseño, porque ambos son complementos a nivel de párrafo. El primer párrafo tenía el diseño inverso de la Proporción Áurea de dos opuestos, dos complementos y uno único.

¡El mundo entero, fuera del cristianismo que cree en la Biblia, está tratando de llegar al Cielo (como lo definen) haciendo buenas obras! Musulmanes, hindúes, budistas, sintoístas, mormones, testigos de Jehová, “cristianos” liberales e incluso muchas personas que asisten a iglesias creyentes en la Biblia:todos creen la mentira de que Dios comparará sus buenas obras con sus malas obras; y si sus buenas obras superan a sus malas obras, Dios les permitirá entrar al Cielo.

¿Pero es esta la enseñanza de la Biblia? ¡No! ¡Es todo lo contrario!

Romanos 4:3b: Abraham “creyó en [Jehová]; y su fe fue acreditada a él por justicia”.

¡Nosotros también debemos ser salvados exactamente de la misma manera o pereceremos en el Infierno y el Lago de Fuego para siempre!

Único Entonces, ¿esta bienaventuranza viene solamente sobre la circuncisión, o también sobre los de la incircuncisión? Porque decimos que la fe le fue acreditada a Abraham por justicia. Entonces, ¿cómo fue acreditado? ¿Cuándo él estaba en la circuncisión, o en la incircuncisión? No en la circuncisión, sino en la incircuncisión.

El complemento Y él recibió la señal de la circuncisión, un sello de la justicia de la fe que tuvo cuando aún estaba incircunciso; para que él sea el padre de todos los que creen (aunque no estén circuncidados), para que la justicia les sea imputada también;

El complemento y él es padre de la circuncisión a los que no son de la circuncisión solamente, sino que también caminéis en las pisadas de aquella fe de nuestro padre Abraham, que tuvo cuando todavía estaba sin circuncidar.

Lo opuesto Porque la promesa, que él sería el heredero del mundo, no fue a Abraham ni a su simiente a través de la Ley de Moisés, sino a través de la justicia de la fe.

Lo opuesto Porque si solamente los que son de la Ley son herederos, la fe es anulada, y la promesa hecha sin efecto; porque la Ley obra la ira: porque donde no existe la Ley, no hay transgresión.

Comentarios: Pablo hace un punto muy importante aquí: ¡que la circuncisión no tuvo nada que ver con la salvación (o Justificación) de Abraham por Jehová Dios! Por lo tanto, tampoco tiene nada que ver con tu salvación.

Romanos 4:9-10: “Entonces, ¿esta bienaventuranza viene solamente sobre la circuncisión, o también sobre los de la incircuncisión? Porque decimos que la fe le fue acreditada a Abraham por justicia. Entonces, ¿cómo fue acreditado? ¿Cuándo él estaba en la circuncisión, o en la incircuncisión? No en la circuncisión, sino en la incircuncisión”.

¿Qué era la circuncisión? ¡Fue una SEÑAL física en la carne de los hombres hebreos del Pacto que Dios hizo con Abraham, de que pertenecían a Jehová Dios! ¡Pero había muchos hombres de Israel que estaban circuncidados y no conocían a Jehová Dios! Entonces Pablo confirma desde el texto del Génesis que la circuncisión no puede salvar a nadie; y Abraham fue justificado sin circuncisión.

Existe una situación similar a la nuestra hoy, donde incontables millones de personas han sido bautizadas en o con agua, ya sea cuando eran bebés o adultos; y, sin embargo, ¡no conocen al Señor Jesús como su Salvador!

He hablado con muchos que afirmaban haber sido bautizados; ¡pero no fueron salvados! Hacía años que no iban a ninguna iglesia; y nunca leyeron la Biblia y pensaron poco o nada en la voluntad de Dios en sus vidas. La evidencia es clara de que ser sumergido o rociado con agua no puede eliminar ningún pecado ni puede convertirte en cristiano.

¡Ni la circuncisión ni el bautismo en agua pueden salvarte de la ira de Dios por tus pecados! Sólo el arrepentimiento y la fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo pueden hacer eso para ti.

Trabajar siempre significa que recibo una recompensa a cambio de mi trabajo

Trabajo para mi empleador, por eso me dan un cheque de pago al final de cada semana, porque me deben dinero a cambio del valor que aporté a la empresa: Si aporto mucho valor a la empresa, ¡puede que obtenga un sueldo mayor y una mejor oficina! Entonces podría jactarme ante mis amigos y familiares: “¡Miren lo que he hecho! Ayudo a mi empresa a ganar mucho dinero y me han dado un gran sueldo, así que puedo vivir en una hermosa casa y conducir un lindo auto”.

¿Lo ves? La gloria sería para mí y no para mi empresa, porque hice todos estos trabajos y fui recompensado con buenos ingresos, para poder vivir en una bonita casa, etc. Las obras tienen que ver con mí, no con el origen de mi recompensa.

Imaginemos por un momento que la salvación se puede ganar haciendo buenas obras: Si hiciera buenas obras para ganar mi salvación y el perdón de mis pecados ante Dios, y Dios aceptara mis obras como pago por mis pecados, entonces Dios estaría obligado a permitirme entrar al Cielo, ¿no es así? Dios ME DEBERÍA un boleto al cielo, tal como mi empleador me debía un cheque de pago.

Puedo imaginarme cómo sería el Cielo si la gente pudiera hacer buenas obras para ganarse la salvación:

“¡Hola Joe! ¿Qué hiciste para ganarte la salvación?” Joe: “Crucé los océanos y ayudé a la gente con sus problemas médicos, porque soy médico. Di todo mi dinero para alimentar a los pobres. Dios quedó tan impresionado con mis buenas obras que me dio una estrella dorada junto con mi aureola, ¡y todos en el Cielo me dieron una gran ovación! (Fanfarronería).

¿Suena ridículo? Debería, porque ilustra que Dios nunca aceptaría nuestras buenas obras para expiar nuestros pecados, porque conduciría al ORGULLO; ¡Y Dios odia nuestro orgullo! ¡Es una abominación a Dios!

Proverbios 16:18: “El orgullo precede a la destrucción; y una actitud arrogante antes de una caída”.

Proverbios 8:13: “El temor de Jehová es odiar el mal; el orgullo, la arrogancia, el mal camino, y la boca perversa, aborrezco”.

¿Acepta Dios nuestras obras para expiar nuestros pecados? ¡No!

Mateo 7:21-23: “No todo el que me dice, ‘Señor, Señor’, entrará en el Reino del Cielo; sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre quien está en el Cielo. Muchos me dirán en aquel día, diciendo: ‘Señor, Señor, ¿no hemos profetizado en tu Nombre? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos echado fuera demonios? Y en tu Nombre, ¿no hemos hecho muchas obras maravillosas?’. Y entonces yo profesaré a ellos, ‘Nunca os conocí; apartaos de mí, obradores de maldad’”.

Efesios 2:8-9: “Porque por gracia habéis sido salvado permanentemente por medio de la fe, y esta fe no es desde ustedes; es don de Dios; no de nuestras propias obras, para que no nadie se jacte:”

Lucas 18:9-14: “Y dijo esta parábola a unos quien confiaban en sí mismos que eran justos, y despreciaron a otros: “Dos hombres subieron al templo para orar: uno un fariseo; y el otro, un recaudador de impuestos. El fariseo, de pie, rezó esto consigo mismo, ‘Dios, te doy gracias que no soy como lo son otros hombres: extorsionadores, injustos, adúlteros, o incluso como este recaudador de impuestos; ayuno dos veces a la semana; doy diezmos de todo lo que poseo’. Y el recaudador de impuestos, de pie muy lejos, no levantaría tanto como sus ojos al Cielo, sino él se estaba golpeando el pecho, diciendo, ‘Dios, sé propicio a mí, un pecador’. Os digo que este hombre descendió a su casa justificado en lugar de la otra: porque cualquiera que se enaltece, será humillado; y el que se humilla, será enaltecido”.

Conclusión

Es extraño, ¿no es así, cómo tantas iglesias que dicen ser cristianas están predicando la salvación por obras, cuando la Biblia enseña claramente lo contrario?

¿Puedes ser un verdadero cristiano si no crees lo que Dios dijo en su Palabra? La respuesta es no. ¡La verdad no cambia con el tiempo! Si es así (y lo ha sido en muchos casos), entonces ya no puede ser la verdad. ¡Es una mentira!

La Palabra de Dios es FINAL. Si estás confiando en algo distinto a lo que Dios ha dicho en su Palabra, entonces estás confiando en las palabras de los hombres, las cuales fracasarán.

Mateo 7:24-27: Jesús dijo, “Cualquiera, pues, que oye estas mis palabras, y las hace, le compararé a un hombre prudente, que edificó su casa sobre la roca. Y descendió lluvia, y vinieron ríos, y soplaron vientos, y golpearon contra aquella casa; y no cayó: porque estaba fundada sobre la roca. Y todo el que oye estas mis palabras y no las hace, será comparado al hombre insensato, que edificó su casa sobre la arena; y descendió lluvia, y vinieron ríos, y soplaron vientos, y dieron con ímpetu contra aquella casa; y cayó; y fue grande su ruina”.

Como ser salvado

¡Amigo pecador! ¿El Señor Jesús te está atrayendo a venir a Él? ¡No resistas su obra en tu corazón! Esto significa que tienes esperanza, porque si tu corazón no eres turbado por tus pecados y estás perfectamente feliz de ser pecador apartado de Dios, entonces ciertamente irás al Infierno; y más tarde, ¡el Lago de Fuego!

¡No hay esperanza en el dios falso “Alá”, porque él es el diablo! ¡Él sólo quiere tu destrucción!

¡Entrégate al único Dios verdadero Jehová, y arrepiéntete de tus pecados y vuélvete al Señor Jesucristo, quien murió en la cruz por tus pecados y resucitó de nuevo de entre los muertos al tercer día!

Jesucristo es el único Camino al Cielo; Cualquier otro camino (islam, mormonismo, testigos de Jehová, hinduismo, budismo, bahá’í, etc) te llevará al Infierno.

Juan 14:6 “Jesús le dice: Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida: nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí”.

¡Puedes ser salvado ahora mismo si quieres saber que tienes Vida Eterna en el Cielo, esperándote cuando mueras! Utilice esta oración para arrepentirse y pedirle a Jesús que perdone sus pecados y que entre en su vida, ¡ahora mismo!

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra USTED. ¡No soy bueno y usted eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”
