Romans, Chapter 2.2: Both Jews and Gentiles can only be justified through faith alone in the New Covenant Finished Work of Christ (2:17 - 5:21)

Now, let us continue with our study of the second paragraph of the introduction.

¶Opposite God is always righteous in everything that He does, including judging sin (3:1 - 8)

Opposite What advantage, then, does the Jew have? Or what benefit is there of circumcision?

Opposite Much every way; most importantly, because the written Oracles of God were entrusted to them.

Complement But what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief nullify the faith of God? Certainly not; indeed, let God be true, but every man a liar! As it is written, “That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.”

Complement But if our unrighteousness exalts the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man.) Certainly not! For then how shall God judge the world? For if the truth of God has more abounded through my lie unto his glory, why then am I also judged as a sinner?

Unique And not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let us do evil, so that good may come”; whose judgment is just.

Comments: First of all, notice the Golden Ratio design of the subparagraphs within this paragraph: two opposites, [a break], two complements, and one unique.

Opposite What advantage, then, does the Jew have? Or what benefit is there of circumcision?

Opposite Much every way; most importantly, because the written Oracles of God were entrusted to them.

The Jews were entrusted with the Oracles of God! The Holy Bible is the Oracle of God; amen! If you want to know what God says about almost any subject, you can find it in the Bible.

Sadly, many Jews did not believe the Gospel when their Messiah Jesus Christ arrived! They were the true people of God at that time. But did their unbelief nullify the faith [or the truth of the Gospel] of God? In other words, did the unbelief of the people of God mean that the Gospel was not true?

No, because the truth of God does not depend on whether people accept his Word: the truth of God depends only on Himself and his Word! If no one accepts his truth in the Bible, it is still the truth! Amen.

Romans 3:4: “Certainly not; indeed, let God be true, but every man a liar!”

This is a very important point. Satan has always sought to move Christians away from the Bible as the center of their faith, because he knows that once they are removed from the Bible, he can get them involved in all kinds of sin and evil: homosexual marriage, homosexual pastors, women pastors, dancing, gambling, drinking (even in the church service!), and so on.

This is why liberals attack the Bible, and try to create doubt and uncertainty in the minds of people about the Bible, because they are servants of Satan. Their goal is to destroy Bible believing Christianity.

2 Peter 2:1-3: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you; who secretly shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the Way of Truth shall be spoken of as evil. And through covetousness shall they make merchandise of you with feigned words; whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.”

Here is the way that the servants of Satan move Christians away from the Bible: they make everything about “how you feel about something” rather than objective facts (e.g. What did God say in his Word?).

“How do YOU FEEL about two men or two women getting married?”

“What’s wrong with two people loving one another?” (What’s YOUR opinion?)

“Don’t YOU THINK that women should be equal with men and be able to pastor a church?”

Satan does this, because he knows that humans are sinful; and if he can move us to decide issues based on how sinful humans think and feel, then he wins every time over what God said in his Word!

In a nation that decides things by elections, this seems like an acceptable thing; however, when it comes to issues that God has already spoken about in his Word, the Holy Bible, this is not right; and it will lead to sin and wickedness every single time! We cannot agree with or support homosexual marriage, transgenderism, women pastoring churches etc, because God says that it is wrong in his Word! Amen.

Joshua 1:8: God said, “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: for only then shall you make your way prosperous, and only then shall you have good success.”

Isaiah 8:20: "To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no Light in them."

Another method that Satan uses to destroy the faith and the churches of Christians is the following: many Christian churches have a “Statement of Faith”, which sets forth their particular beliefs about God, the Bible, the Church etc. I have one as well on my website; by itself, that is not a bad thing.

Now, modern Christians are often faced with questions about women or homosexuals in church leadership, about marriage and divorce, and so on. But the Denominational churches (e.g. Protestants such as Anglicans, Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans) often react to these issues by looking at their Statement of Faith rather than the Bible! “Well, OUR CHURCH BELIEVES” or “OUR CHURCH doesn’t believe...” Do you see the parallel with the previous point? They are focused on themselves rather than the Bible, which only helps the cause of Satan to destroy them.

The denominations are divided between liberals and conservatives; but because they focus on “the beliefs of their church” rather than the Bible for the source of their faith, it is easy for conservatives to make compromises; and inevitably, they slowly allow sin and corruption to get stronger in their denomination. And this process continues over decades until finally Satan has totally destroyed the denomination with false teaching and sin.

As evidence that this strategy works, look at the history of the mainline Protestant denominations in the US. In the late 1800s, most Protestants agreed with Baptists that salvation was by grace through faith alone (see End Notes for additional comments); but after 1900, an influx of teachers who had been trained in liberal Lutheran seminaries in Europe caused an avalanche of liberalism to take hold in these denominations; so that, by the 1920s, the Methodists had almost completely abandoned the Bible; and Lutheran and Presbyterian churches were moving away from the Bible as well.

Today, conservatives among the Protestants are very few! Liberals have completely taken over every large Protestant and Baptist denomination in the United States; and also the Southern Baptist Convention is getting weaker and weaker. The Gospel of Christ has been abandoned almost completely in these denominations in favor of Socialism and liberal causes such as identity politics, racism, multi-culturalism, homosexual rights, transgenderism, and so on.

In many of these groups, you can still find the servants of Jesus Christ; but they are becoming fewer and fewer. Satan is in charge of almost all of these denominations.

“In Pursuit of Purity: American Fundamentalism Since 1850” Paperback – January 1, 1986, by David O. Beale.

In other words, Protestant denominations (and some Baptist groups) were destroyed, because the center of their faith is their Statement of Faith rather than the Bible! This kind of Christianity is “Liberal” and “man-centered”; some call it “Churchianity”. Satan planted the seeds of their destruction by moving them to center their faith on “what they believe” (their opinions) rather than “what the Bible says”. This process happened over decades or even centuries as these denominations became more like the Catholic church rather than Bible believing churches, as they started out to be during the Reformation.

Jude 1:3-4: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write to you, and to exhort you, that you should earnestly contend for the Faith; which was once for all time delivered to the saints. FOR CERTAIN MEN HAVE CREPT SECRETLY INTO CHURCH LEADERSHIP, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation: UNGODLY MEN, turning the grace of our God into licentiousness; and denying the only Lord God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Is your statement of faith (what you believe) more important than the Bible itself?

Romans 3:4: “Certainly not; indeed, let God be true, but every man a liar!”

The point is that many modern “Christians” are centered on themselves rather than on God Himself and his Word; therefore, when they have a controversy such as homosexuality, transgenderism, or women in church leadership in their church, they can easily say, “Well, our church believed that in the past, but we need to adapt our Statement of Faith to modern thinking and go with the flow! When in Rome, do as the Romans do!” This is how liberals think. They wrote their own Statement of Faith, so they can also change it whenever they want!

But when the center of our faith is in the Bible, then adapting to the sins of our modern age is SIN. The Bible will never change: it was established in Heaven, and every word was given by God to faithful, inspired and holy men of God (the Apostles of Jesus Christ and the Prophets of God) who recorded the words of God for our blessing and encouragement (among other things), never to be lost or corrupted.

Psalm 119: 89-91: “Forever, O Jehovah, your Word is established in Heaven. Your faithfulness is to all generations; you have established the earth, and it remains. They continue this day according to your Ordinances, because all of these are your servants.”

2 Peter 1:19-21: “We also have a more certain Word of prophecy; unto which you do well that you take heed, as to a Light that shines in a dark place, until the Eternal Day dawns, and the Day Star arises in your hearts. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture comes of one’s own interpretation: for the prophecy came at no time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:4: “For whatsoever was written before was written for our learning, so that, through patience and comfort of the Scriptures, we might have assurance.”

Psalm 12:6-7: “The words of Jehovah are pure words; as silver tested in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Jehovah; you shall preserve them from this generation forever.”

The fact that we have many modern translations that have changed the Bible to accomodate homosexuality and other sins does not mean that the Bible has actually changed! The Bible has not and never will change. We need to rely on Bible versions that are faithful to the Received Text: for example, the Kingdom Study Bible version that is available for free download on my website in PDF format.

So the point is that many modern “Christians” are self-centered, not God and Bible centered! The same was true of the Jews of the first century. They rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah, because their faith was centered on their works and not on Jehovah their God.

Returning to our text:

Unique And not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let us do evil, so that good may come”; whose judgment is just.

There were apparently some heretics who were teaching that their sins made God look greater and more holy than themselves by comparison, so (according to this heresy) sin was actually a good thing! And if that was true, then God should not judge me for my sins; and therefore, I can sin as much as I want, which makes God look even better!

Of course, this is a wicked and ridiculous argument, because the truth of God depends only on God Himself! God does not modify his behavior based on anything that we do or can do. This is another example of liberal, man-centered thinking. Our universe and the human race is not the center of everything! God Himself is the center of all things, and only He decides what is right and what it wrong! Amen.

And God has already declared what is right and what is wrong in his holy Word, the Bible; amen! God will judge the world based on his own Word, and on nothing else! He will not be looking at the Statement of Faith of your church, and then judge you according to what it says; He will only look at his own Word to make those judgments!

John 12:48: “He that rejects me, and does not receive my words, has one that judges him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the Last Day.”

Jeremiah 23:29: “‘Is not my Word like a fire?’ says Jehovah, ‘and like a hammer that smashes the rock in pieces?’”

Isaiah 40:21-24: “Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in; that brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity. Moreover, they shall not be planted; moreover, they shall not be sown; moreover, their stock shall not take root in the earth; and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away like stubble.’”

Isaiah 43:10-13: “You are my witnesses,’ says Jehovah, and my Servant whom I have chosen, ‘that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed; neither shall there be any after me. I, even I, am Jehovah; and there is no Savior other than me. I have declared the future, and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you; therefore you are my witnesses,’ says Jehovah, ‘that I am the true God. Moreover, before the day was I am he; and there is no one that can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who shall hinder it?’”

Therefore, God is always righteous in everything that He does, including judging sin! Amen.

This paragraph is about the difference between liberal, man-centered religion and the one true Faith of Jesus Christ, which is based exclusively on the Word of God. It is often called “Fundamentalism”, because it means to go back to the Bible to find out what God said about any particular subject.

The enemies of God and the Bible think that “Fundamentalism” is a bad thing, because it means to reject modernist, liberal thinking, especially on social topics such as marriage, sexuality, and church leadership; but Bible Christians are happy to wear the term “Fundamentalist” as a badge of honor, because it means to put God and his Word first, and me last; and this is what pleases God.

Luke 9:23-26: “And he said to them all, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me: for whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gains the whole world, and loses himself, or is cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s glory, and of the holy angels.”

I prefer the term “Biblicist”. I will go more into detail on those topics in future studies.

As a believer in Christ, if you take the attitude towards the Bible that "God is always right!", this will help you to always stay in the will of God all the days of your life, no matter what comes your way. It has served me very well in my own life. Amen.

How to be saved

Repent now! Or your destiny will be Hell; and later, the Lake of Fire after the Great White Throne Judgment.

Everything that the Bible has said has already come true or will shortly come to pass! You will have only yourself to blame if you find yourself in Hell after you die. You have been warned!

The Quran (17:111) says that allah has no son. The Bible agrees, because the one true God of the Bible has a Son, and his Name is the Lord Jesus Christ! Therefore, “allah” is not God! The same is true for all of the false gods; anyone who follows them will perish in Hell without hope forever.

Isaiah 43:11-12: “I, even I, am Jehovah; and there is no Savior other than me. I have declared the future, and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you; therefore you are my witnesses,’ says Jehovah, ‘that I am the true God.”

Even the devils know that Jehovah Elohim has a Son, and they recognized Him in Jesus Christ:

Mark 3:11: “And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him; and they cried, saying, “You are the Son of God!”

I John 2:22-23: “Who is the liar, if not he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist: the one who denies the equality of the Father and the Son. Whosoever denies the Son, does not have the Father; but he that confesses the Son has the Father also.”

The only hope for Eternal Life and peace with God is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for you and rose again from the dead on the third day.

Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: NO MAN comes to the Father, but through me” John 14:6.

Here is how you can be saved, IF YOU BELIEVE everything that I just explained. Pray this prayer with all of your heart to receive Christ as your Savior:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

In the late 1800s, most Protestants were in general agreement with Baptists that salvation was attained only by grace through faith alone; however, outside of this core doctrine, there were many disagreements on issues such as baptism, the nature of the church etc.

Generally speaking, the Protestants of this era were remarkably conservative, especially by comparison with the same Protestant groups of today. They would be shocked to see how far their denominations have fallen into unbelief in the Bible in the 130 years since those days.

Único ¿Y no qué no decir (como estamos reportados calumniosamente, y como algunos afirman que decimos), “Hagamos el mal para que venga el bien”; cuyo juicio es justo.

Comentarios: En primer lugar, observe el diseño de la Proporción Áurea de los subpárrafos dentro de este párrafo: dos opuestos, [una ruptura], dos complementarios y uno único.

Lo opuesto ¿Qué ventaja, entonces, tiene el judío? ¿O qué provecho hay de la circuncisión?

Lo opuesto Mucho en todos los sentidos; lo más importante, porque los Oráculos de Dios escritos fueron encomendados a ellos.

Romanos 3:4: “¡Ciertamente no; de verdad, deja que Dios sea verdadero, pero todo hombre un mentiroso!”.

Este es un punto muy importante. Satanás siempre ha buscado alejar a los cristianos desde la Biblia como centro de su fe, porque sabe que una vez que sean eliminados de la Biblia, puede involucrarlos en todo tipo de pecado y maldad: matrimonio homosexual, pastores homosexuales, mujeres pastoras, bailar, apostar, beber (¡incluso en el servicio religioso!), etc.

Por eso los liberales atacan la Biblia y tratan de crear dudas e incertidumbre en la mente de la gente acerca de la Biblia, porque son sirvientes de Satanás. Su objetivo es destruir el cristianismo que cree en la Biblia.

2 Pedro 2:1-3: “Pero hubo también falsos profetas entre el pueblo, como habrá entre ustedes falsos maestros, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías destructoras, y aun negando al Señor que los compró, atrayendo sobre sí mismos destrucción repentina. Y muchos seguirán sus caminos perniciosos; y por causa de ellos, se hablará del Camino de la Verdad como malo. Y a través de la codicia, harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas; cuyo juicio ahora de largo tiempo no se demora, y su condenación no duerme”.

Así es como los siervos de Satanás alejan a los cristianos de la Biblia: hacen que todo se trate de “cómo te sientes acerca de algo” en lugar de hechos objetivos (por ejemplo, ¿qué dijo Dios en su Palabra?).

“¿Cómo te SIENTES acerca de que dos hombres o dos mujeres se casen?”

“¿Qué hay de malo en que dos personas se amen?” (¿Cuál es TU opinión?)

“¿No PIENSAS que las mujeres deberían ser iguales a los hombres y poder pastorear una iglesia?”

Satanás hace esto porque sabe que los humanos son pecadores; y si él puede movernos a decidir cuestiones basadas en cómo piensan y sienten los humanos pecadores, ¡entonces él triunfa cada vez sobre lo que Dios dijo en su Palabra!

En una nación que decide las cosas mediante elecciones, esto parece algo aceptable; sin embargo, cuando se trata de temas de los que Dios ya ha hablado en su Palabra, la Santa Biblia, esto no está bien; ¡y conducirá al pecado y a la maldad cada vez! No podemos estar de acuerdo ni apoyar el matrimonio homosexual, el transgenerismo, las mujeres pastoreando iglesias, etc., ¡porque Dios dice que eso está mal en su Palabra! Amén.

Josué 1:8: Dios dijo, “Este Libro de la Ley no se apartará de vuestra boca; sino que meditarás en ello día y noche, para que guardes y hagas conforme a todo lo que en ello está escrito: porque sólo entonces, harás prosperar tu camino; y sólo entonces tendrás buen éxito”.

Isaías 8:20: “A la Ley y al Testimonio: si no hablan conforme a esta Palabra, es porque no hay Luz en ellos”.

Otro método que utiliza Satanás para destruir la fe y las iglesias de los cristianos es el siguiente: muchas iglesias cristianas tienen una “Declaración de Fe”, que establece sus creencias particulares sobre Dios, la Biblia, la Iglesia, etc. Yo también tengo una en mi sitio web; por sí mismo, eso no es algo malo.

Ahora, los cristianos modernos a menudo se enfrentan a preguntas sobre las mujeres o los homosexuales en el liderazgo de la iglesia, sobre el matrimonio y el divorcio, etc. ¡Pero las iglesias denominacionales (por ejemplo, protestantes como anglicanos, metodistas, presbiterianos, luteranos) a menudo reaccionan a estos problemas mirando su declaración de fe en lugar de la Biblia! “Bueno, NUESTRA IGLESIA CREE” o “NUESTRA IGLESIA no cree…” ¿Ves el paralelo con el punto anterior? Se centran en sí mismos en lugar de en la Biblia, lo que sólo ayuda a que la causa de Satanás los destruya.

Las denominaciones se dividen entre liberales y conservadores; y debido a que se centran en “las creencias de su iglesia” en lugar de la Biblia como fuente de su fe, es fácil de los conservadores hacer concesiones; e inevitablemente, poco a poco permiten que el pecado y la corrupción se fortalezcan en su denominación. Y este proceso continúa durante décadas hasta que finalmente Satanás ha destruido totalmente la denominación con falsas enseñanzas y pecado.

Como prueba de que esta estrategia funciona, basta con mirar la historia de las principales denominaciones protestantes en Estados Unidos. A finales del siglo XIX, la mayoría de los protestantes estaban de acuerdo con los bautistas en que la salvación era por gracia mediante la fe únicamente (consulte las Notas Finales para comentarios adicionales); pero después de 1900, una afluencia de profesores que habían sido formados en seminarios luteranos liberales en Europa provocó que una avalancha de liberalismo se afianzara en estas denominaciones; de modo que, en la década de 1920, los metodistas habían abandonado casi por completo la Biblia; y las iglesias luterana y presbiteriana también se estaban alejando de la Biblia.

¡Hoy, los conservadores entre los protestantes son muy pocos! Los liberales se han apoderado por completo de todas las grandes denominaciones protestantes y bautistas de los Estados Unidos; y también la Convención Bautista del Sur se está debilitando cada vez más. El Evangelio de Cristo ha sido abandonado casi por completo en estas denominaciones en favor del socialismo y causas liberales como la política de identidad, el racismo, el multiculturalismo, los derechos de los homosexuales, el transgénero, etc.

En algunos de estos grupos aún se pueden encontrar servidores de Jesucristo; pero cada vez son menos. Satanás está a cargo de casi todas estas denominaciones.

En otras palabras, las denominaciones protestantes (y algunos grupos bautistas) fueron destruidas, ¡porque el centro de su fe es su Declaración de Fe y no la Biblia! Este tipo de cristianismo es “liberal” y “centrado en el hombre”; algunos lo llaman “Churchianidad”.

Satanás plantó las semillas de su destrucción al impulsarlos a centrar su fe en “lo que creen” (sus opiniones) en lugar de “lo que dice la Biblia”. Este proceso ocurrió durante décadas o incluso siglos a medida que estas denominaciones se volvieron más parecidas a la iglesia católica que a iglesias creyentes en la Biblia, como comenzaron a ser durante la Reforma.

Judas 1:3-4: “Amados, cuando puse toda diligencia en escribiros acerca de la común salvación, me fue necesario escribiros y exhortaros para que contendáis ardientemente por la fe, que fue, una vez por todo el tiempo, entregada a los santos. CIERTOS HOMBRES SE HAN ENTRADO EN SECRETO EN EL LIDERAZGO DE LA IGLESIA, que desde antiguo fueron ordenados a esta condenación: HOMBRES IMPÍOS, convirtiendo la gracia de nuestro Dios en libertinaje; y negando al único Señor Dios, incluso nuestro Señor Jesucristo.”

¿Es tu declaración de fe (lo que crees) más importante que la Biblia sí misma?

Romanos 3:4: “¡Ciertamente no; de verdad, deja que Dios sea verdadero, pero todo hombre un mentiroso!”.

La cuestión es que muchos “cristianos” modernos se centran en sí mismos y no en Dios mismo y su Palabra; por lo tanto, cuando tienen una controversia como la homosexualidad, el transgenerismo o las mujeres en el liderazgo de la iglesia, pueden decir fácilmente,“Bueno, nuestra iglesia creía eso en el pasado, ¡pero necesitamos adaptar nuestra Declaración de Fe al pensamiento moderno y seguir la corriente! Cuando en Roma, ¡haz lo que hacen los romanos!” Así piensan los liberales. ¡Escribieron su propia Declaración de Fe, por lo que también pueden cambiarla cuando quieran!

Pero cuando el centro de nuestra fe está en la Biblia, entonces adaptarse a los pecados de nuestra era moderna es PECADO. La Biblia nunca cambiará: fue establecida en el Cielo, y cada palabra fue dada por Dios a hombres de Dios fieles, inspirados y santos (los Apóstoles de Jesucristo y los Profetas de Dios) quienes registraron las palabras de Dios para nuestra bendición y aliento (entre otras cosas), para que nunca se pierdan ni se corrompan.

Salmo 119: 89-91: “Para siempre, oh Jehová, tu Palabra está establecida en el Cielo. Tu fidelidad es hasta todas las generaciones; tú has establecido la tierra, y permanece. Continúan hoy según tus ordenanzas, porque todos estos son tus siervos”.

2 Pedro 1:19-21: “Tenemos además una Palabra de profética más cierta; a lo cual haces bien que usted preste atención, como a una luz que brilla en un lugar oscuro, hasta que el día eterno amanece, y la estrella del día se levanta en tus corazones. Sabiendo esto primero, que ninguna profecía de la Escritura viene de cualquier interpretación privada: porque la profecía no llegó en ningún momento por la voluntad del hombre, pero los santos hombres de Dios hablaron como fueron llevados a lo largo por el Espíritu Santo”.

Romanos 15:4: “Porque todo lo que se escribió antes se escribió para nuestra enseñanza, a fin de que, mediante la paciencia y el consuelo de las Escrituras, tengamos la seguridad”.

Salmo 12:6-7: “Las palabras de Jehová son palabras puras; como plata probada en horno de tierra, siete veces purificada. Los guardarás, oh Jehová; los preservarás de esta generación para siempre”.

El hecho que tengamos muchas traducciones modernas que han cambiado la Biblia para acomodar la homosexualidad y otros pecados ¡no significa que la Biblia realmente haya cambiado! La Biblia no ha cambiado ni cambiará nunca. Necesitamos confiar en versiones de la Biblia que sean fieles al Texto Recibido: por ejemplo, la versión del Reino Estudio Biblia (REB) que está disponible descarga gratis en mi sitio web en formato PDF.

¡Así que el punto es que muchos “cristianos” modernos son egocéntricos, no centrados en Dios y la Biblia! Lo mismo ocurrió con los judíos del primer siglo. Rechazaron a Jesucristo como su Mesías, porque su fe estaba centrada en sus obras y no en Jehová su Dios.

Volviendo a nuestro texto:

Único ¿Y no qué no decir (como estamos reportados calumniosamente, y como algunos afirman que decimos), “Hagamos el mal para que venga el bien”; cuyo juicio es justo.

Aparentemente había algunos herejes que enseñaban que sus pecados hacían que Dios pareciera más grande y más santo que ellos por comparación, por lo que (según esta herejía) ¡el pecado era en realidad algo bueno! Y si eso fuera cierto, entonces Dios no debería juzgarme por mis pecados; y por lo tanto, puedo pecar tanto como quiera, ¡lo que hace que Dios luzca aún mejor!

Por supuesto, este es un argumento perverso y ridículo, ¡porque la verdad de Dios depende sólo de Dios mismo! Dios no modifica su comportamiento en base a nada de lo que hacemos o podemos hacer. Éste es otro ejemplo de pensamiento liberal centrado en el hombre. ¡Nuestro universo y la raza humana no son el centro de todo! ¡Dios mismo es el centro de todas las cosas, y sólo Él decide lo que está bien y lo que está mal! Amén.

Y Dios ya ha declarado lo que está bien y lo que está mal en su santa Palabra, la Biblia; ¡amén! Dios juzgará al mundo basándose en su propia Palabra ¡y nada más! Él no estará mirando la Declaración de Fe de tu iglesia, y luego te juzgará según lo que dice; ¡Él sólo mirará su propia Palabra para hacer esos juicios!

Juan 12:48: “El que me rechaza, y no recibe mis palabras, tiene uno quien le juzgue: la Palabra que he hablado, el mismo le juzgará en el día final”.

Jeremías 23:29: “‘¿No es mi Palabra como un fuego?’ dice Jehová, ‘¿y como un martillo que rompe la roca en pedazos?’”

Isaías 40:21-24: “¿No sabéis? ¿No habéis oído? ¿Nunca os lo han dicho desde el principio? ¿No habéis sido enseñados desde que la tierra se fundó? Él está sentado sobre el globo de la tierra, cuyos moradores son como langostas; él extiende los cielos como una cortina, los despliega como una tienda para morar. Él reduce a nada a los poderosos, y él hace que los jueces de la tierra como vanidad. Además, no se plantarán; además no se sembrarán; además, su tronco no echará raíces en la tierra; y también él soplará sobre ellos, y se secarán, y el torbellino se los llevará como hojarasca”.

Isaías 43:10-13: “Ustedes sois mis testigos,’ dice Jehová, ‘y mi siervo que yo escogí; para que me conozcáis y creáis, y entendáis que yo soy él; antes de mí no fue formado Dios, ni lo será después de mí. Yo, incluso yo, soy Jehová, y no hay Salvador mas que yo. He anunciado el futuro, y he salvado, y he mostrado, cuando no había dios extraño entre ustedes; Por tanto, sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, de que yo soy el Dios verdadero. Además, antes de que fuera el día, yo soy él; y de mi mano no hay quien pueda librar. Trabajaré y ¿quién lo impedirá?’”

Por lo tanto, Dios siempre es justo en todo lo que hace, ¡incluyendo juzgar el pecado! Amén.

Este párrafo trata la diferencia entre la religión liberal centrada en el hombre y la única fe verdadera de Jesucristo, que se basa exclusivamente en la Palabra de Dios. A menudo se le llama “Fundamentalismo”, porque significa volver a la Biblia para descubrir lo que Dios dijo sobre un tema en particular.

Los enemigos de Dios y de la Biblia piensan que “el fundamentalismo” es algo malo, porque significa rechazar el pensamiento modernista y liberal, especialmente en temas sociales como el matrimonio, la sexualidad y el liderazgo de la iglesia; pero los cristianos bíblicos están felices de usar el término “fundamentalista” como una insignia de honor, porque significa poner a Dios y su Palabra en primer lugar, y a mí en último lugar; y esto es lo que agrada a Dios.

Lucas 9:23-26: “Y dijo a todos ellos, “Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, déjale negarse él mismo, y tome su cruz cada día, y sígame: porque quienquiera que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; sino quienquiera que pierda su vida por mi causa, lo mismo lo salvará: porque ¿qué ha ganado un hombre, si él gana todo el mundo, y se destruye o pierde a sí mismo? Porque quienquiera que se avergüence de mí y de mis palabras, de él se avergonzará el Hijo del hombre, cuando él vendrá en su propia gloria, y en la gloria de su Padre, y de los santos ángeles”.

Prefiero el término “Biblicista”. Entraré más en detalles sobre esos temas en estudios futuros.

Como creyente en Cristo, si adoptas la actitud hacia la Biblia de que "¡Dios siempre tiene la razón!", esto te ayudará a permanecer siempre en la voluntad de Dios todos los días de tu vida, no importa lo que venga en tu camino. Me ha servido muy bien en mi propia vida. Amén.

Como ser salvado

¡Arrepiéntete ahora! O tu destino será el Infierno; y más tarde, el Lago de Fuego después del Juicio del Gran Trono Blanco.

¡Todo lo que dice la Biblia ya se ha cumplido o pronto se cumplirá! Solo tendrás que culparte a ti mismo si te encuentras en el Infierno después de morir. ¡Tú ha sido advertido!

El Corán (17:111) dice que Alá no tiene hijos. ¡La Biblia está de acuerdo, porque el único Dios verdadero de la Biblia tiene un Hijo, y su Nombre es el Señor Jesucristo! ¡Por lo tanto, “Allah” no es Dios! Lo mismo es cierto para todos los dioses falsos; cualquiera que los siga perecerá en el Infierno sin esperanza para siempre.

Isaías 43:11-12: “Yo, incluso yo, soy Jehová; y no hay otro Salvador que yo. He declarado el futuro, y he salvado, y he mostrado, cuando no había dios extraño entre ustedes; por lo tanto, ustedes son mis testigos,’ dice Jehová, ‘de que yo soy el Dios verdadero’”.

Hasta los demonios saben que Jehová Elohim tiene un Hijo, y lo reconocieron en Jesucristo:

Marcos 3:11: “Y los espíritus inmundos, al verle, se postraban delante de él, y daban voces, diciendo, “¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!”

I Juan 2:22-23: “¿Quién es el mentiroso, si no él que niegue que Jesús es el Cristo? Éste es Anticristo, el que niega la igualdad del Padre y del Hijo. Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, él no tiene al Padre; sino él que confiesa al Hijo también tiene al Padre”.

La única esperanza de Vida eterna y paz con Dios está en el Señor Jesucristo, que murió por vosotros y resucitó de entre los muertos al tercer día.

Juan 14:6 “Jesús le dice: Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida: nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí”.

Así es como puede ser salvado, SI TÚ CREE todo lo que acabo de explicar. Haz esta oración con todo tu corazón para recibir a Cristo como tu Salvador:

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra TI. ¡No soy bueno y tú eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”

Las Notas Finales

A finales del siglo XIX, la mayoría de los protestantes estaban en general de acuerdo con los bautistas en que la salvación se lograba sólo por gracia a través de la fe únicamente; sin embargo, fuera de esta doctrina central, hubo muchos desacuerdos sobre temas como el bautismo, la naturaleza de la iglesia, etc.

En términos generales, los protestantes de esta época eran notablemente conservadores, especialmente en comparación con los mismos grupos protestantes de hoy. Ellos se sorprenderían al ver hasta qué punto sus denominaciones han caído en la incredulidad en la Biblia en los 130 años transcurridos desde aquellos días.
