^14:25And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem; ^14:26and he took away the treasures of the House of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king’s house: he even took away everything; and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made. ^14:27And king Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king’s house. ^14:28And it was so, when the king went into the House of Jehovah, that the guard carried them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.

^15:3And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not loyal with Jehovah his God, as the heart of David his father. ^15:4Nevertheless for David’s sake did Jehovah his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem, ^15:5because David did right in the eyes of Jehovah, and did not turn aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

^15:6And there was a state of war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

^15:14But the high places were not removed.

Nevertheless Asa’s heart was loyal with Jehovah all his days; ^15:15and he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and which himself had dedicated, into the House of Jehovah: silver, gold, and vessels.

^15:18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the House of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, ^15:19“There is a league between me and you, and between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you a present of silver and gold; come and break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.” ^15:20So Ben-hadad gave heed to king Asa, and sent the captains of the armies that he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, Dan, Abel-beth-maachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

^15:21And it came to pass, when Baasha heard of it, that he ceased building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.

^15:22Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah: no one was exempted; and they took away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, which Baasha had built with; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. ^15:24And Asa slept with his fathers; and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.

^15:27And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines: for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon. ^15:28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his place.

^15:29And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam. He left none to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of Jehovah which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite: ^15:30because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and by which he made Israel to sin, by his provocation with which he provoked Jehovah God of Israel to anger.

^16:9And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, steward of his house in Tirzah. ^16:10And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned in his place.

^16:11And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he executed all the house of Baasha; he left him not one male; neither any of his kinfolks, nor of his friends.

^16:12In this manner Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the Word of Jehovah which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet: ^16:13for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking Jehovah God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

^16:21Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri. ^16:22But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath. So Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

^16:23In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel: twelve years; he reigned six years in Tirzah. ^16:24And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill; and he called the name of the city that he built, after the name of Shemer (the owner of the hill), Samaria.

^16:25But Omri did evil in the eyes of Jehovah. And he did worse than all that were before him: ^16:26for he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat; and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

And Ahab did more to provoke Jehovah God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

^16:34In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho. He laid its foundation in Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates in his youngest son Segub, according to the Word of Jehovah, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

^16:1Y vino Palabra de Jehová a Jehú hijo de Hanani contra Baasa, diciendo, ^16:2“Por cuanto yo te levanté del polvo, y te puse por príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, y tú has andado en el camino de Jeroboam, y has hecho pecar a mi pueblo Israel, provocándome a ira con sus pecados; ^16:3he aquí yo barreré la posteridad de Baasa, y la posteridad de su casa; y pondré su casa como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat. ^16:4El que de Baasa fuere muerto en la ciudad, le comerán los perros; y el que de él fuere muerto en el campo, lo comerán las aves del cielo”.

^16:5Lo demás de los hechos de Baasa, y las cosas que hizo, y su poderío, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? ^16:6Y durmió Baasa con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Tirsa; y reinó en su lugar Ela su hijo.

^16:7Pero también vino la Palabra de Jehová por mano del Profeta Jehú, hijo de Hanani, contra Baasa, y contra su casa, por toda la maldad que hizo ante los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, y por haber sido como la casa de Jeroboam, y por haberla destruido.

¶Único   Zimri asesinó a Elah, el hijo de Baasa, junto con toda su familia, y se apoderó del Reino de Israel (1 Reyes 16:8 - 14)

^16:8En el año veintiséis de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Ela hijo de Baasa sobre Israel en Tirsa; y reinó dos años.

^16:9Y conspiró contra él su siervo Zimri, comandante de la mitad de los carros. Y estando él en Tirsa, bebiendo y embriagado en casa de Arsa su mayordomo en Tirsa, ^16:10vino Zimri, y lo hirió y lo mató, en el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá; y reinó en lugar suyo.

^16:11Y sucedió que cuando comenzó a reinar y estuvo sentado en su trono, mató toda la casa de Baasa, él le dejó ni un solo varón, ni de sus parientes ni de sus amigos.

^16:12Así destruyó Zimri toda la casa de Baasa, conforme a la Palabra de Jehová, que había proferido contra Baasa por medio del Profeta Jehú, ^16:13por todos los pecados de Baasa, y los pecados de Ela su hijo, con los cuales ellos pecaron e hicieron pecar a Israel, provocando a enojo con sus vanidades a Jehová Dios de Israel.

^16:14Los demás hechos de Ela, y todo lo que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

¶El complemento   El malvado reinado de Omri, rey de Israel (1 Reyes 16:15 - 28)

^16:15En el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zimri, y reinó siete días en Tirsa; y el pueblo estaba acampado contra Gibetón, ciudad de los filisteos. ^16:16Y el pueblo que estaba acampado oyó decir, “Zimri ha conspirado, y ha dado muerte al rey”. Entonces aquel mismo día en el campamento, todo Israel puso a Omri, general del ejército, por rey sobre Israel. ^16:17Y subió Omri de Gibetón, y con él todo Israel, y sitiaron a Tirsa. ^16:18Y sucedió que cuando Zimri vio que la ciudad era tomada, se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y prendió fuego a la casa sobre sí; y así murió. ^16:19Por causa de sus pecados que él había cometido, haciendo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar a Israel. ^16:20Los demás hechos de Zimri, y la conspiración que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

^16:21Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes. La mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat, para hacerlo rey; y la otra mitad seguía a Omri. ^16:22Pero el pueblo que seguía a Omri, pudo más que el que seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat. Y Tibni murió, y Omri fue rey.

^16:23En el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omri sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsa reinó seis años. ^16:24Y compró él de Semer el monte de Samaria por dos talentos de plata, y edificó en el monte; y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, Samaria, del nombre de Semer, que fue dueño de aquel monte.

^16:25Pero Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, e hizo peor que todos los que habían sido antes de él; ^16:26pues anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y en su pecado con que hizo pecar a Israel, provocando a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus ídolos.

^16:27Lo demás de los hechos de Omri, y todas las cosas que hizo, y sus valentías que ejecutó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? ^16:28Y Omri durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria; y reinó en lugar suyo Acab, su hijo.

¶El complemento   El reinado aún más malvado de Acab rey de Israel, hijo de Omri (1 Reyes 16:29 - 34)

^16:29Y comenzó a reinar Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asa rey de Judá. Y reinó Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años.

^16:30Y Acab hijo de Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, más que todos los que fueron antes que él.

^16:31Y sucedió que como si fuera ligera cosa el andar en los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, fue y tomó por esposa a Jezabel, hija de Etbaal, rey de los sidonios, y fue y sirvió a Baal, y lo adoró. ^16:32E hizo altar a Baal, en el templo de Baal que él edificó en Samaria. ^16:33Hizo también Acab una imagen de Asera.

Y Acab hizo más a provocar la Jehová Dios de Israel a ira que todos los reyes de Israel que antes de él habían sido.

^16:34En su tiempo Hiel de Betel reedificó a Jericó. A costa de Abiram su primogénito echó el cimiento, y a costa de Segub su hijo menor puso sus puertas; conforme a la Palabra de Jehová que había hablado por Josué hijo de Nun.
