Daniel & Zechariah, Chapter 2.5 (Zechariah): Jehovah will purify the children of Israel through Great Tribulation before the Second Coming of Christ (4:44 - 8:20)

Introduction: Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone for all the people of the Earth, and the Jews will believe in Christ (12:1 - 13:3)

^12:3“‘And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people. All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth are gathered together against it.

^12:4“‘In that day,’ says Jehovah, ‘will I smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. ^12:5And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in Jehovah of hosts, their God.’”

^12:6“‘In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. ^12:7Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

^12:8“‘In that day Jehovah shall defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of Jehovah before them.’”

^13:2“‘And it shall come to pass in that day,’ says Jehovah of hosts, ‘that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall not be remembered anymore; and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. ^13:3And it shall come to pass, that when any shall still prophesy, then his father and his mother that begot him shall say to him, ‘You shall not live: for you speak lies in the Name of Jehovah’; and his father and his mother that begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.’”

^14:3“‘Then shall Jehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. ^14:4And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall cleave in its midst toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. ^14:5And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains: for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal; moreover, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. And Jehovah my God shall come, and all the saints with you.’”

^14:6“‘And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark; ^14:7but it shall be one day which shall be known only to Jehovah; neither day, nor night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. ^14:8And it shall be in that day, that living water shall go out from Jerusalem: half of it toward the former sea, and half of it toward the hinder sea; in summer and in winter shall it be.

^14:9“‘And Jehovah shall be King over the entire earth. In that day there shall be one Jehovah, and his Name one. ^14:10All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses. ^14:11And men shall dwell in it, and there shall not be utter destruction any longer; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

^14:12“‘And this shall be the plague with which Jehovah will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet; and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. ^14:13And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from Jehovah shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor. ^14:14And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, silver, and apparel, in great abundance. ^14:15And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.’”

^14:17“‘And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. ^14:18And if the family of Egypt still does not go up, and does not come, that has no rain, there shall be the plague, with which Jehovah will smite the heathen that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ^14:19This shall be the punishment of Egypt; and the punishment of all nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.’”

^14:20“‘In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, ‘Holiness to Jehovah’;

“‘and the pots in Jehovah's House shall be like the bowls before the altar.

^14:21“‘Indeed, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness to Jehovah of hosts; and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and boil in them. And in that day the Canaanite shall no longer be in the House of Jehovah of hosts.’”

^14:3“‘Después saldrá Jehová y peleará contra aquellas naciones, como peleó el día de la batalla. ^14:4Y se afirmarán sus pies en aquel día sobre el monte de los Olivos, que está en frente de Jerusalén al oriente; y el monte de los Olivos se partirá por medio de sí hacia el oriente y hacia el occidente haciendo un valle muy grande; y la mitad del monte se apartará hacia el norte, y la otra mitad hacia el sur. ^14:5Y huiréis al valle de los montes: porque el valle de los montes llegará hasta Azel; y huiréis de la manera que huisteis por causa del terremoto en los días de Uzías, rey de Judá. Y vendrá Jehová mi Dios, y todos los santos con él’”.

^14:6“‘Y acontecerá que en ese día no habrá luz clara, ni oscura. ^14:7Y será un día, el cual es conocido de Jehová, que ni será día ni noche; pero acontecerá que al tiempo de la tarde habrá luz. ^14:8Acontecerá también en aquel día, que saldrán de Jerusalén aguas vivas; la mitad de ellas hacia el mar oriental, y la otra mitad hacia el mar occidental, en verano y en invierno.

^14:9“‘Y Jehová será Rey sobre toda la tierra. En aquel día Jehová será uno, y uno su Nombre. ^14:10Y toda la tierra se volverá como llanura desde Geba hasta Rimón al sur de Jerusalén; y ésta será enaltecida, y será habitada en su mismo lugar desde la puerta de Benjamín hasta el lugar de la puerta primera, hasta la puerta del Ángulo; y desde la torre de Hananeel hasta los lagares del rey. ^14:11Y morarán en ella, y no habrá allí más destrucción; sino que Jerusalén será habitada confiadamente.

^14:12“‘Y ésta será la plaga con que herirá Jehová a todos los pueblos que pelearon contra Jerusalén: la carne de ellos se disolverá estando ellos sobre sus pies, y se consumirán sus ojos en sus cuencas, y su lengua se les deshará en su boca. ^14:13Y acontecerá en aquel día que habrá en ellos gran quebrantamiento de Jehová; y trabará cada uno de la mano de su compañero, y su mano se levantará contra la mano de su compañero. ^14:14Y Judá también peleará en Jerusalén; y serán reunidas las riquezas de todas las naciones de alrededor; oro y plata, y ropa de vestir, en gran abundancia. ^14:15Y así será la plaga de los caballos, de los mulos, de los camellos, de los asnos, y de todas las bestias que estuvieren en aquellos campamentos, como esta plaga’”.

^14:17“‘Y acontecerá que a los de las familias de la tierra que no subieren a Jerusalén a adorar al Rey, Jehová de los ejércitos, no vendrá sobre ellos lluvia. ^14:18Y si la familia de Egipto no subiere, y no viniere, sobre ellos no habrá lluvia; vendrá la plaga con que Jehová herirá a las naciones que no subieren a celebrar la Fiesta de los Tabernáculos. ^14:19Éste será el castigo de Egipto, y el castigo de todas las naciones que no subieren a celebrar la Fiesta de los Tabernáculos’”.

^14:20“‘En aquel tiempo estará grabado sobre las campanillas de los caballos, ‘SANTIDAD A JEHOVÁ;

“‘y las ollas en la Casa de Jehová serán como los tazones delante del altar.

^14:21“‘Y toda olla en Jerusalén y en Judá será santificada a Jehová de los ejércitos; y todos los que sacrificaren, vendrán y tomarán de ellas, y cocerán en ellas. Y en ese día el Cananeo ya no estará en la Casa de Jehová de los ejércitos’”.
